Just a few things to add to the awesome list a PP made..

Hair spray
Straight pins
Coverup cream (bride's color specifically, but anything neutral-ish would work)
Bobby pins, bobby pins, bobby pins!
Clear nail polish

We used clear nail polish at my sister's wedding last weekend because we cut the hang straps off our tops and then had to color the leftover white threads with black markers so they wouldn't show and THEN we covered that with clear nail polish so the marker wouldn't rub off on our skin. DRAMATIC! We also use clear nail polish at another sister's wedding to fix a run in her hose and to kind of "glue" some sparkles into someone's bouquet. Ya never know. (:

I think most of what I'm planning on packing has already been covered. Just a couple other suggestions:

Nail files
Baby powder (my MOH recommended it - she used it at her sister's wedding to get out stains and it worked really well)
Scotch tape (a quick fix for any hems that come out, if you don't have time to sew)

and also, if your dress has any snaps or buttons and came with an extras, pack them too just in case.

Got married May 30th, 2009!

I had decided to have an emergency kit to take with us to the church....maybe I'd better start packing it now!!! Truly, you never know what you might need! But I never even thought about an extra pair of panites!!! Thanks for the suggestion!!

When I was the Maid of Honor at my friends wedding I did her emergency kit. Really, be over prepared!
I packed:
tylenol
ibuprofen
q-tips
band-aids
an extra pair of hoisery
a compact mirror
an extra lip stick
kleenex
toilet paper
bottled water
granola bars
immodium
rolaids
hair brush
bobby pins
mints
dental floss
band aids
lint brush
an iron
tampons
an extra set of undies (lets face it..you never know)
a sewing kit
spot remover
deoderant
straws (so you don't mess up your makeup before the ceremony)
and a travel toothbrush and toothpaste
allergy pills
bug bite cream
extra cash

out of it we used:
the immodium (for the photographer), straws, water, granola bars (the groom forgot to eat), deoderant, the iron, the mints, the tampons, the extra pair of hoisery, both the tylenol and ibuprofen, the sewing kit (best man ripped the hem out of his tux), kleenex (had to shove it into the brides bouquet so she could grab it out discreetly), the lint brush (father of the groom accidently let the cat sit on his tux the night before), the iron (also father of the groom), spot remover (bridesmaid spilled on her dress), the band aids (bridesmaid's bra showed through the dress so she ended up having to take it off and we had to put band aids over her nipples to cover them so they wouldn't show through), the hair brush, mints, and also the lipstick (groomsmen didn't bring anything to write on the getaway car with). Also, the bride forgot to eat breakfast and the groom had already raided the snack pack with the groomsmen so I had to go get her some food with the extra cash. Didn't want anyone passing out at the altar
Really, its better to just be prepared!

Are you having one? What are you putting in it?

I printed out a list, but seems soooo excessive. Just wanted to know what you girls are planning to have/ had! =D
