My fiance and I make smoothies all the time! We have a different method though. We use fruit, frozen yogurt and a little bit of fruit juice (the healthier and less sugary the better! Orange juice is a great option).

I like making sure I have a couple bags of frozen fruit, especially frozen berries, for smoothies so that I don't have to worry about the fruit going bad.

I love making smoothies! I do fruits, usually bananas, strawberries, blueberries, red grapes, kiwi...or whatever else I have in the fridge...fat free vanilla yogurt and ice.... SO yummy! Lately I have been topping it off with some fat free whipped cream.mmmmmm.

Here is a fast an easy snack or breakfast!

LOWFAT SMOOTHIE/SHAKE

Bananas or any other fruit
Skim milk
honey (optional for added sweetness)

Beforehand, peel and freeze bananas in a plastic bag. When you are ready, put 8 oz. of slim milk in a blender; Add bananas (1 is enough for a smoothie, 2 for a shake); Blend until smooth; Pour into a cup and enjoy! You can use any type of fresh fruit: Strawberries, apples, or oranges, the possibilities are endless!
