Roller skating with those clamp on skates, with the key to tighten or shorten or lenthen the skates. Remember they were not the most secure.

laying on the summer grass under a shady tree looking up at the sky looking at the shapes within the clouds, helping my mom plant little flowers in the garden, making mud pies for my uncle emoticon I remember the first time my kids saw a fireflies on a summer eve at the park, the first time my little girl held my hand.

I remember running to and from school every day. Each day was so exciting, and we ran home for lunch and back for the afternoon session. Then I would jump on my bike and ride around the neighborhood and climb pear trees. One winter there was so much snow in New Jersey, my dad put the dog out and all we could see was his tail. Of course, I loved going to school in the snow too, and playing in the rain. What a wild child I was.

There is life in the old gal yet.

I remember hiking, walking, biking, and swimming as if I had all the energy in the world.

The first thing that came to mind was the time we spent staying at the lake in our cabin first with my parents and then with just my sister and I once we were able to drive--awe, such memories. Now my nephew owns the lakeshore cabin and I get up usually once during the nice weather and stop to visit the place.

I remember summers of playing outside all day and as late at night as we could get away with. Long walks through the woods, biking up and down huge hills, playing in the creek.... so much energy back then.

I remember fireflies too, except we call them lightning bugs in these parts. emoticon And my uncle would wait for them to light up and then SQUISH them on our fingers and call them our "rings." EW!

Running around outside all day and probably all evening with my cousins. My mom telling us to "go play in traffic" and NOT getting arrested for it! LOL

Hopscotch, jump ropes, mud pies, railroad tracks ... Popsicles, Kool-Aid (neither of which I would let me nonexistent children touch nowadays!) ... ah, what a life!

i remember fond memories of childhood summers spent at Cape Cod . I remember my grand mother telling me stories of how she came to America at the age of 13 and worked in a sewing factory. I remember collecting seashells from the beaches at cape Cod and watching the sailboats. I remember lying on a blanket and starring up at the sky and making a wish,
I have fond memories of sitting and reading my golden books back then. Oh i could go on but i believe i said enough already.

Hmmmm - I remember lying on a blanket, on the flat metal roof of our mobile home and hearing the bells from Bok Singing Tower in town. The sound traveled more than 10 miles away.

I remember being so jealous of my cousins in Minnesota who had sent pictures of snow angels they did, that I made "sand angels". I was living in Central Florida.

I remember swimming for hours (it seemed) at the swimming hole. It's now closed and boarded and they are filling it in.
