I just checked my local Aldi in Grove City Oh and they have a small space alloted to the organics - maybe 5 feet worth.

I talked to the manager and she said that they were a "special" and that when they were gone they were gone and unless we all here in the Spark community do a letter writing or email campaigne they would probably not bring it back until they "felt" like it.

So apparently this isn't going to be a part of their normal stock - unless WE ask that it be.

Yes, I got the flyer and was super-excited. So I went there yesterday and the WHOLE store was entirely re-arranged. And they had a nice endcap display and part of an aisle filled with the organic products - tomato sauce, apple juice, etc. I bought several items.

I shop at Aldi's every 1-2 weeks. It's nice to get some organic items at reasonable prices. I showed my support on the FB page...thanks for the link!

My request is that they come out with some gluten-free choices, like pasta and bread. My husband and I are trying to go gluten-free to see if it helps w/ health issues.

I shop at Aldi all the time - love their variety of items as well as their prices. Their Fit and Active line is not bad either. I will have to check my local store to see if they have the organics yet. I did notice that they had K-Cups for their coffee around Christmas and was told that if I emailed the company to keep the product that it would be considered. I was in there last week and didn't notice any K-Cups (sigh) but that's ok - maybe later.

Looks like in next week's ad they have a bunch of fitness equipment, including a $30 set of dumbbells (3lb, 5lb, 8lb):

Their ads startover on Wednesdays. So the above is good starting the week of Wed Jan 16. Also a mini trampoline, and dif workout aids. Normally you can get these for pennies on the dollar in summer garage sales, or ask to buy them from friends and coworkers. Sometimes Craigslist. I just happen to be looking for 8lb dumbbells that are PURPLE (which these are). Ah, sooo tempting. No way am I spending the $, tho. I really only need the 8lb.

I will certainly be watching their clearance for the items that don't sell and are marked down in the coming weeks, let me tell you. ALDI's has terrific clearance sales. Both on food & non food items. Maybe I can get the dumbbells in Feb or Mar.

Here is this week's ad (for Sun, Mon, & Tues) but you will need to click on "change your location" link (located top center) and input your zip code in order to see your town's prices:

Look on the bottom of page 2 of the above ad for SimplyNature products -- some organic and some not -- you will see organic 32oz yogurt at the bottom for $3, organic frozen fruit, organic canned diced tomatoes, and more organics on page 3. I like the looks and prices of their organic staple products, such as olive oil, cheese, and yogurt.

I do quite a bit of shopping at Aldis. Try out their house brand of cheese wedges. They are $1,59 here compared to nearly $4.00 for the "cow" brand. There are several varieties of light available now. Aldi's English Muffins are every bit as delicious as the "name" brand and cost only $/99 here. The cheeses are very reasonable too.

The market in my hometown has excellent produce. I buy their artisan greens very reasonably. At home I wash and chop them for my own "spring mix" salad at a fraction of the cost.

I discovered it will keep nicely in a plastic container with a snap on lid. Try to find a plate that will fit upside down in the bottom of your container. Slip it in and put the greens on top. Any moisture will collect under the plate. Your greens will stay nicer!

Thanks! I get my 100% maple syrup at Aldi's and also pure vanilla. Sometimes their produce is very good also. I will check out the new organics.
