I try to eat a filling dinner/snack before we go and then I'm not hungry when we get there.

I always smuggle our own snacks into the theater. On a rare occasion we'll actually get popcorn, but usually the movie itself is splurge enough. That's what book bags are for... and when you have kids no one questions that. Cut up fruits and veggies, nuts, granola bars, and bottled water or 100% juice are our go-to's. Sadly, it's actually harder to sneak snacks into the drive in anymore.

Bringing your own popcorn works at the drive-in, but not at a regular theatre (unless you have a REALLY big purse).

Since we so seldom go to a movie (a few times a year), I will splurge that day. I will work harder to make sure that I try to burn those calories off, but as long as I"m not doing it too often, I don't really worry about it.

That was a great movie! I must admit that my dh and I saw it by ourselves when the kids were with their grandparents. I know, shame, shame.

We did take them to the drive-in to see it though so we could get rid of our guilty conscious.

As for the snacks. I take my own. I make a batch of air popped popcorn and mix in some semi-chocolate pieces and maybe some walnut pieces. That has helped me stay on track.

Hope y'all had a wonderful time!

I'm taking my kids to see Frozen later today --- dreading the snack counter! I'm trying to eat low carb, and I know if I overdo it the popcorn will sabotage my day!!!
