Hello Consistency:

I am a full time worker (teacher), I help my husband run his business on the weekends, and I have a 5 year old daughter, and an 11 year old stepson that recently moved in with us; so I run a household once I get home from a long day of work. After I had my daughter I couldn't lose weight, because I had no motivation!!

Finally I couldn't take it any more. My husband had bought this work from home video for himself and I finally said I was going to do it. I did it for three weeks and lost interest because my daughter kept interrupting my workout and eventually I got tired of it.
Then I knocked some sense into my head and said I cannot let that discourage me from reaching my goal, so I decided to go back to home videos, but this time I researched and found a "soul-mate" workout video that I knew I would be excited to do each day. My daughter got so used to seeing me workout that she ended up joining me instead of interrupting me. I decided to let her stay in the room, and we would workout together.

I say all of this to you because, it takes sacrifice, it takes motivation, it takes time, but it is NOT impossible. If you need someone to help motivate you, you can Private Message me anytime, or just go to a person in your life that you know will constantly give you that positive motivation!! You can do it, but you have to set your mind to it!!!

As for your meals, find a good meal plan out there, if you need help looking for one, I can help you out. But I found when they gave me specific things to eat, I followed it better than just a general list. Spark also has a meal planner app on their page as well.

I wish you the best!!

Raq

Nobody is as good a motivator ae as you can be for yourself. I STRONGLY advise you to read The Spark, and set yourself some fast break goals. TRACK everything. Seriously. Once you start really seeing what you are eating, it will be at the front of your mind before you put anything in your mouth. You'll stop and think "Do I really want to have to add this to my tracker? I stop and think before every meal, every snack now. It makes a huge difference. I also got a fitbit tracker, and now that I'm aware of how much I move during the day, I make a concerted effort to add as many steps during the day as I possibly can. Even last night while I was at church, waiting for my kids to get out of their classroom, I walked laps up and down the hallway for the 5-10 minutes I was waiting and added a few hundred steps to my day. Little things are just that, but little things add up to bigger things. You can do this, you just have to decide that its really what you want, then go for it!

You can do it! I was snacking all the time, and I still have bad days. But I really found that the more you say no to a snack the easier it gets. It still hasn't gotten super easy for me, but it's getting easier. emoticon

I'm also a working mom, and I think it's really hard to juggle everything. My 3 and 5 year old are very busy and it keeps me focused and busy with them. I feel tired and emotionally worn down a lot. Something that is helping me is to not let my snacking make me feel worse. Instead of being down on snacking, I'm trying to replace the habit. I snack too much late at night, after the kids are in bed. So now, for the past few days, I haven't said, "NO SNACKING!" which didn't work before. Instead I'm just changing my habit from chips to grapes and herbal tea. I'm thinking of the warm, fancy herbal tea and being curled up on the couch as a treat. Also, starting tonight, I'm planning on sleeping 8 hours. I think it's going to make a difference in my attitude. Me doing things that have more energy (sleeping, exercising, eating well) is going to make me better at home and at work. Even just the little snacking success is already making me feel a bit better. Little steps!

Hello Everyone,

I joined the team today...I am a mom of a three year old boy who demands my presence around him from the time he wakes up till he goes to bed...except when he would be going to the day care from 10 - 4..Also I am a full time working mom.....

I used to hit the gym or walk or zumba regularly...For the past two months I have been so so lazy or I dont know what...I never did anything..but had been eating lots of chocolates,snacks,food..no second thoughts abt the calories..And I already see the results in my pants,jeans,shirts..I have to mention that we were house hunting in the past three months and finally booked a home..which is a good thing..But my eating habits have completely gone crazy...I just snack whenever I want to and I just feel bad 24/7 ...I realised I need some motivation from all you guys and that would help me get back on my track....Please would anyone give me a pep talk...

Consistency is the magic behind any achievement...
