Yes! I have felt the same way for years. I am working on replacement behaviors (it is a lot like quitting smoking if you have ever done that). My 'witching hour(s)' are after the kids go to bed! I will tend to not eat much dinner because I am getting up every 2 seconds to get something for someone else, then I am hungry AND in need of relaxing and, well, I just snack all night in the peace and quiet of a sleeping house...

Anyway, like I said, replacement behaviors. 1) I eat dinner and 2) I drink tea at the slightest craving.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, then it's just hilarious

Are you bored or lonely at the time? I find that when I am home alone - kids napping etc is when I do my most snacking, even though I am not hungry at all. Maybe you could try having a big water bottle with you. I also try to brush my teeth after each meal so I am not as tempted to snack. I think it is a battle each day, but I am hoping this site helps me stay on track.

I could nibble on foods all day long - doesn't matter if its carrots and popcorn or M&Ms. I find drinking water and chewing gum helps. I also have snacks set for morning and afternoon and if I really need something, I let myself have them early.

Yesterday was bad for me and I just wanted to snack and snack. So I took a walk around the block, it helped. Thankfully I'm in a job where I can walk away for a few minutes when I need to.

My triggers are both stress and being bored, so I need to find a balance.

Today, I feel like I am in a trench of junk food. Just eating, non stop... over 2000 calories today =/ I am supposed to be in my best friend's wedding on the beach this weekend. FAIL.

Is it normal to continue to eat when I know I am not hungry? I ask myself over and over (100 times a day) why am I putting this in my mouth. I am eating much more healthy food, but I just cant seem to stop grazing. Thankfully it is grapes instead of candy, but really why can't I just stop putting stuff in my mouth.
Just rambling on, wondering if anyone else is having the same or similar issues. It isn't stress eating, just eating to be eating :(
