Pre k was hard for me at first too.My son started a headstart program at 2 years old, due to developmental delay ( he is doing fine now!). It was soooo hard for me. I kept thinking what am I going to do? We won't have anytime together. You will eventually relish your alone time. I love my son to death but it is nice to have time to go to the gym. I also don't want to be the fat mom. I just had another boy 5 weeks ago and like you they are my motivation. Right now my reasons are mostly vanity, however how long would I live at the weight I am now? And then when they want to play sports ugh. I also belong to PF and it took me a few months but I have my own little routine now.

I'll comment on the Pre-K stuff. My 2 kids have been in "school" since they were 12 weeks old (I work full-time outside the home). I have been anxious about every class change they have ever had. I think it's just what a Mommy has to deal with. Sorry, that's probably not what you wanted to hear. This year my youngest (turning 5 soon) will be starting a new "school" for the first time in her little life. I'm a bundle of nerves about it. But let's try hard not to fall into emotional eating over it.

I hear you about not wanting to be "the fat mom." I don't want my children to ever be embarrassed because of my weight. This is one more motivation for me to be successful in getting to my weight loss goal.

Best to you.

You already started at the right place - Spark People has been known to have so many success stories. Have you read any? One thing you'll notice is there are NO success stories that say they got it their first time! That's the best thing - it is truly okay to fail. You just have to get back on track and find the reasons that motivate you.

Do this for Liberty, yes. To have a healthier mommy. BUT also do this for you. Reward yourself and find fun ways to work exercise into your day. My daughter is also starting Pre K this year and I've realized there's a lot LESS time we're together. She has "her own schedule" and I realized I have to be more mindful of how we spend time together.

I think we may both be PF members - the tanning beds were a winner for me too. But lately I don't even use them and work out more often. Now that my daughter (Jazlynn) is in school I get to hit the gym in the morning with my husband. I try to at least 3 times a week but it doesn't always happen to be completely honest.

I recover time "lost" by doing other things on the weekend with my daughter:

1. Swimming in our pool (and being really silly, playing tag in the water, moving constantly!)
2. Taking walks in our neighborhood (a couple times a week). My daughter loves picking leaves and we try to figure out the trees/plants/flowers.
3. Racing each other up and down our steps (thank God for living in a town house).
4. Dancing in the kitchen while food is cooking or we're fixing up a snack.

I feel my response to you is all over the place - but mainly just know there are people here always willing to talk to you and give you advice. Oh, I have found it to be beneficial to check out spark recipes that are things you already usually eat/make at home - but may be smarter on ingredients to save calories. Also - track, track, track! The point system on SparkPeople is what addicts me the most. I'm always striving for the next trophy!

Please friend me and message me if you have questions. Again, there are others who will reach out to you as well.

I wish you the best!!
