Hello everyone,
I am a 19 year old mother of a 9 month old.
I have been trying to lose weight and start a better lifestyle.
I am a stay at home mom and I am doing online schooling.
Everytime I start eating better and exercising, a week later I am back to my "quick" food options and lack of exercise.
I joined this hoping to find some people who are in the same situation(being a mom) and to keep me motivated.

Hi Kerri,
That is awesome that you have lost 3lbs already. Also great that you are working on your weight loss with 4 kids. I have 3 kids ages 4, 2, & 6 months. They keep me busy. I mostly have been walking outside for my exercise and either walking with the kids or sometimes I only take the baby with me.

Great job Kerri! I am glad you are seeing success already!

I have been in a snacky mood. I have been trying to make it healthy snacks though.

Hi All,

My name is Kerri and I just joined Sparkpeople on Sunday. I am a very busy stay at home mom to 4 kids. Aged 6,5,3, and just about 21 months. I have finally had it with being over weight so this past weekend my husband bought me (and himself) an Elliptical machine. I've been hauling fanny on it doing 48 minuets on the "fat burner" setting every day and really reducing my caloric intake. I've already lost 3lbs (since saturday) and hope to continue on this loosing path". I look forward to getting to know you all and finding inspiration with your weight loss journey

Welcome to all our new members.

Remember that some of those pages just never updated their weight. Also, I have another profile floating out there somewhere....I forgot my password and no longer have the e-mail account I set that account up with.

I went to Branson last week and it was awesome. Other than horrible hotel service.

Today we are visiting my MIL, so I won't have internet access for the rest of the day. :-(

Make great choices today! I started off right with mandarian oranges (fresh). We shall see what my MIL decides to feed us. If she does--she usually doesn't want to eat when we are there.

Hi and welcome to the newbies!
Do not be discouraged by those that gave up and failed be encouraged by those that have succeeded. I found joining a challenge really helped me get the most out of this site. Unfortunately we have had a rough move and I fractured my ankle but I am not giving up just working in a different direction to get to my goals.

I joined spark people a week and a half ago almost, and i have a nine month old daughter. I've lost some weight already and i'm excited, i get nervous when i look for friends with the friend finder and see all the profiles out there that had status updates from over a year ago, and they never reached their goal weight. I don't want to be one of those sparkpages...

Even if you don't know where you are going, just go, you can make up your mind along the way! Standing still gets you nowhere..

Hi Everyone..

Sorry I have been MIA for the month of July. We just started staying in our house. Our furniture and boxes were over 2 weeks late arriving. Our house needs so much more work then we ever though but is coming along now. I am recovering from the tramatic and horrible drive across country. My ankle is still sore but I am getting some mobility back in it. Been using the air cast boot less and getting a brace today. Hoping to start taking little walks with the kids this week and building my ankle strength back up. Going to be awhile before I can do 2 or more miles again and no jogging for awhile either.

Lisa glad to hear you are getting in your house and life is resuming for you also..

Hi ladies! I've been MIA for a lot of reasons since the end of our survivor challenge, but I'm ready to get back into it! We finally closed on our new house, and have been juggling our 2 year old, our jobs, and getting the house painted and cleaned before our furniture comes. The best part is we are going to use one of the rooms upstairs as our exercise / play room, so I have a place to jump around and do lots of stuff. It's over the garage, so no one will complain if I'm bumping and jumping :)

Don't feel bad, that was also me. I would rather miss the fireworks and have a happy baby (18 months old) then to have gone and him be in a bad mood. So we are doing our own thing this weekend and going camping at the lake. He will enjoy it and I get a chance to relax, yeah right. emoticon

Last year at 6 months my youngest slept though them. Until he wanted to sleep, he was clapping and laughing. I was really surprised, I thought he would cry at the noise!

Today was my 1st day back to work after 5 days off for the holiday. I didn't want to leave this morning.

Both my babies (age 21 months and 3 months) slept right through them! Just like their daddy who slept through cannon fire!

MOMOFBOYSINMO~I can imagine. I know in Ohio it's not dark enough to do them around 8pm so closer to 9 or 9:30 is when they started. I'm just getting LO on a sleep schedule so I'm trying not to take her to anything that would possibly jeopardize that. I'm debating with myself about taking her to my city's home days where they do fireworks at 10pm!!! They start at that time!!!!

No I took mine. He enjoyed the fireworks, but he was cranky and wanting to sleep by the end.

Anyone not do anything for the 4th of July because you just got your little one on a sleep routine and didn't want to mess it up?
Oh, and because you had to work early the next day?

That was me. emoticon

When You Thought I Wasn't Looking
Author: Unknown

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you hang my first painting on the fridge
and I wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you feed a stray cat,
and I thought it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you make my favorite cake for me,
and I knew that little things are special things.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I heard you say a prayer,
and I believed that there was a God to talk to.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I felt you kiss me goodnight,
and I felt loved.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw tears come from your eyes,
and I learned that sometimes things hurt,
but it's alright to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw that you cared,
and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I looked....
and I wanted to say thanks for all the things
I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.
