I hear you. It IS hard. Work, parties, grocery shopping (my downfall would be the check out line and the 'specials' buy 3 for ONLY .99 cents. I needed those like I needed a hole in my head!) lol

When I got serious, back in January, my few trip ups all surrounded birthdays, as in CAKE. We all have our own trip ups.

For me, I decided trying things the same old way didn't give me the results I so dearly wanted so I opened my mind and decided to try new things. It worked. Granted, I did not have a job to report to and have those daily challenges of constant celebrations or 'food gifts' from co-workers either.

It IS hard, but not impossible. I think accountability, often, if not daily, can help. Each time a person succeeds in sacrifice or discipline, it is a great motivator to share that with others who are on a similar journey.

I think you need to give yourself a big KUDOS for getting your water in. Don't over look every success you have! You did some exercise! Way to go!

Keep on keeping on! You will continue to build those new habits and start seeing amazing results!

OK - I have issues.

I've been here a week and so far I've had my birthday weekend and now I'm coming up on another weekend filled with parties.

HOW DO YOU LOSE WEIGHT when there's so much celebrating to do???

I sound awful and maybe it's just these past two weekends specifically but I almost always find excuses and therefore I'm not losing any weight. It's horrible.

The only goal I've been able to accomplish this week was the 8 glasses of water a day. I have not lost any weight in a week. I have gotton on the treadmill twice and did situps.

OH - and a co-worker gave me a pack of Reeces and Hershey bars for my birthday and that's all I can think of while I sit at work. UGH! This is going to be soooooo hard for me.

How many people on this team are working moms?? Just curious. I work part time - W-F. I definitely can control my eating at home better than at work.
