Yep, you're probably right. For me it's the opposite - lots of time in the summer, but starting next week... I'll be doing quick check ins (yep, teacher). I'm big time hoping that the school district won't block my access to SP - because there's blogs it probably will. That means I won't be able to get on until after dinner. I plan on logging food into my palm pilot with scribbles during the day.

The past few days have been challenging. We've been remodeling the kitchen for weeks. The first weeks, there wasn't much for me to do so fitting in a walk wasn't much of a problem. NOW it's different - it has taken me DAYS to get the new cabinets stocked and organized. I think I lost three days of walking - luckily not in a row - due to work and family issues (like a little girl who would not go to sleep). Some of my hour walks have started at 11:20 PM - ugh. Plus... there were the days of no kitchen use - I cringed everytime I found out we had to eat out/fast food. Did my best - or close to it!

Haven't figured out the fix to the strength training yet! I do a lot of stretches every day - legs need it for/from walking and use my husbands bands for shoulders/arms. I've managed to do leg lifts and crunches on the bed (not as affective I'm sure)during "rock-a-bye time" - she usually ends up next to me on the bed by the end of our little nightly session. I think I avoid the ones given to me by SP because they are still awfully difficult - I do about half the suggested when I do them.

EEks this is way too many letters for a message board!!! Will keep checking into your page - and checking in here for activity from others. "Spark On!"

Hi LD,

I am thinking summer is a really bad time for folks to be online. Several of my teams have been REALLY quiet the past 1 1/2 months! =)

KUDOS to you on your current weight loss! Keep it going!

I will say I am 'active' here, or will be back at it from now on. I just updated my page with info if you'd like to read it. I am going to start a two week challenge tomorrow with the hubby to help him get started and me back into the swing of things.

After much success in several areas, I too am not doing well with the strength training. I have not incorporated that and I don't know what my hang up is? It's not that hard and it can be so QUICK too and only several days a week. Any ideas on how we can succeed in this?

Thanks for making this post. Let's keep in touch, even if no one else has time to show up, k??!!

Hello to all. We've been pretty quiet on here - not that we all don't have one or more squirmy little reasons running wild through our houses preventing us from "quality time" with our computers!

Just wondered who considered themselves "active" on here and how you are doing with your challenges.

As for me... I've lost a total of 13 pounds - around 8 since starting SP on July 18 (I think that was the date). I've done fairly well - lost my walking two nights due to family things (imagine that!) and spent a few LATE nights on the treadmill because that was the only time I could find to walk. Don't think the 1AM bedtimes and loss of sleep was helpful though! Blew my calories one night big time with an unexpected trip to Don Pablos (and therefore an unplanned menu choice - did I NOT see the words SKINNY enchiladas???) I am NOT doing well with strength training - must add that consistently!

Just know I'm cheering you all on! Lisa
