Changing the plan even when we believe it will benefit us in the long run is rough, but your plan makes sense in the frame work of stopping a plateau. I hope it keeps working for you and that you keep hitting the marks that you want. You are an inspiration and I really appreciate you taking the time to share your success and any struggle you come across. Take care Bob!

Courtney...it also comes in different flavors, regardless of brands, mostly chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. The vanilla I use as a milk substitute sometimes....if you want to add it to something you're cooking, ie oats, don't add while cooking as it crystalizes. I mostly drink it though in the form of smoothies/shakes...great right after a workout or snack.

I've been wanting to try some protein source since I'm always running low in that area. I think I"ll try that!

We gotta do what works!!

Which whey protein are you using?? I just got some samples of the better quality ones from a seminar I went to for bariatric patiends--Protizyme is one, FitnessPro Super Whey and Isoflex chiller by Allmax Nutrition was the other all to be mixed with water.

One bite, one day, one pound at a time. Remember you are worth the effort!

I decided last week that on sundays I'd have a "Free" day...not in the sense of eating anything I wanted but, to elevate my calories by 500 cals with the same "good" food choices I use all week. Concept behind this was to "trick" the body into believing it didn't have to store fat and thus prevent plateaus. Result: I lost 3 lbs plus this last week.

Sooo....I did it again today. After much internal debate, I just finished 4 oz boiled and cubed chicken breasts w/ Frank's hot sauce as a dip. Chased it down with a scoop of chocolate whey protein and 2 tbl of peanut butter smoothie (8 oz water and 12 ice cubes make it a shake). Total cal for day 2452, not quite 2500 but close enough.

Apprehensive may be the wrong word...guilty may be a better one, as I know that 500 cals over the course of the week won't make much difference on the scale. Maybe it's just that I broke from my original plan....now convincing myself that it's the "new" plan.

Have a great week everybody. emoticon time.
