Even though I'm exhausted (a 14 hour day with high school kids yesterday), didn't eat my best last night (fajitas, some queso and a sangrita, eek!), I managed to go to work, eat well and work out on weights and cardio today. I feel awesome!!! :)

I chose salad over fries with my lunch when I went out with friends today.

AND

I have been very busy in the kitchen making Mexican lasagne (from the Eat, Shrink & Be Merry cookbook), turkey and vegetable chili, banana oatmeal muffins and crustless pumpkin pie. I also portioned out little containers of muesli cereal to add to my yogurt this week and containers of cereal for the week.

Feeling very organized and on top of things. That is key for me - otherwise it all falls apart. So far it is working too - I was down 4.6 lbs this week. A bit of motivation to stick to it!

Wow Lisa, that is HUGE! Congrats!

For me, I went to the coffee shop and had a fruit salad rather than their delicious, buttery, delectable croissants. They really are the best anywhere...but I resisted!

I sorted through a HUGE stack of papers that have beeen haunting me for years. I kept saving them because I knew there were important things like birth certificates mixed in with old take-out menus and such.

I completely categorized them and filed them today.

Even though I have a stomach bug that kept me running to the bathroom today and I did not do my cardio for fear of a bathroom emergency, I did do some seated lower body weight training.

I was feeling like a looser for not keeping up the pace I have set for myself at the gym, but looking at it this way helped me. Thanks!

I finally made the commitment to myself to get back on SP and team 300 lbs plus and stay here, no matter what!

I also got in 30 minutes on the nu-step machine before lunch, (with just my arms, but on level 10),though the sun was shining brightly on the machine through the window, and it was very hot. I plan on going back when the gym slows down before dinner and exercising some more.

Edit:
This afternoon I did 30 minutes on the arm bike, but for the first time I added 2 lb weights on both of my wrists to increase the difficulty. I also did another 20 minutes on the Nu Step with my arms.

I did not want to work out yesterday. I had pushed myself 3 days in a row to run 3 miles, I was sore and tired. I was just going to go for a walk, but then it started raining so I thought I will just go in the house and take a quick nap. I went in the house and changed into comfy clothes, put on my tennis and put in Jillian's 30 day shread and did level 3. So much for taking a nap but I felt great!!

completed wk 5 day 1.. 5 minute runs with 3 minute breaks. On my first 5 min I ran/jogged 7 minutes to complete a 1/2 mile. I am so proud of myself!

I ate yams today for veggies instead of my usual veggies. I tried something new. Now I gotta find some new recipes for YAMS. I made them like whipped potatoes.

I skipped the french fries at supper and just ate the chicken ranch wrap. I also bought some new tank tops and I didn't have to pay extra for a plus size!! They were a large!!!!

I wanted to stop at the grocery store and my favorite 2nd hand book store after work. They are located in the same strip mall. So I parked about half way between and walked from my car to the book store and bought some books. Then back to the car to put them away then in to the store for veggies. So even though I did not have a chance to work out I managed to get some walking in at a good clip.

I ate within calories (towards lower end). I exercised despite having a bum foot. I pu tthe brace on and did 30 minutes of WiiBoxing. Normally I do 40.

Stayed true to myself. Tracked my food, drank my water and did my cardio. And stayed in the zone. Oh and got my teeth cleaned. woohoo.

Arriving at one goal is the starting point to another.

I got up at six in the ack emma, put my trainers on, went to Curves (and didn't sleep through my workout), found five things to be happy about on a Monday and blogged about them, then got to work at a decent hour.

I stuck to my guns and did my 2 workouts for the day,
I didn't overindulge myself while eating, and
I cleaned my house.

I stayed within my calorie range, power walked 2 miles, did my strength training and 45 minutes of cardio! emoticon

I worked out for 30 minutes today on the Elliptical level 3-4 . It was difficult but I wasn't dying doing it. I'm excited that my endurance is improving!

I bought my DH a piece of chocolate fudge torte and I had a yogurt. I have been working on eating on the weekend like I do during the week and this weekend its working. emoticon

I comfortably wore a pair of jeans and a shirt that I haven't been able to wear in over a year. I was on cloud nine :) and when I got home, I got my cardio in!

Thanks Fran! its hard sometimes! you walk past the cookies and stuff and you really want them but you know you can't eat just one or two so I just don't buy them! As hard as that is lol!

So today I am fighting the urge to eat sugary cereal! I am waiting on dinner (I am at work so it is brought to me) at work we have sugary cereal for guest and I am so hungry I am thinking about eating it but I won't. Just going to wait on my turkey burger!

walked for 50 minutes on the treadmill even though everything in my body told me to stop at 20 minutes! Also my food has been fantastic all week! YAY ME!!! YAY TEAM!!!

I went to Target after work and I was craving a candy bar... BAD! But I bought a banana and multigrain crisps instead! And then I came home and took my dogs for a longer walk than we usually do even though it was raining!!! : )

Today i exercised despite not wanting to. Jumped on the WiiFit with the intention of only doing 15 minutes b4 going to work. Ended up doing 30.

I didn't make any good choices today other than stay away from fast food restaurants. I stuck with whole wheat products & fruit but still went over my calories. Lot of emotional eating this weekend! Sounds like ya'll did great though! emoticon

I went to Olive Garden and made excellent choices.

Salad, small one because they douse it in dressing.

2 stuffed mushroom of the appetivzer.

2 breadsticks ( I knew they were higher calorie but its a favorite. Usually I've gone and had 5 or 6 breadsticks)
The 4 Cheese stuffed special they are running.
I made decision BEFORE I went in, whatever meal I got I would leave half to take home. emoticon
And I did.
Next time I think I will ask for the dressing on the side to make even a better choice.
All in all, under calories I have a lovely lunch for tomorrow and still room to actually have a nice dinner!

I went McDonald's toady since i was on the road travelling and it was my best option. I made a conscious decision to get a kids meal. They gave me a regular meal with a medium fry. I am proud b/c I only ate 1/4 of the fry and through the rest away! Last month, I would have eaten the whole thing.
