Well, usually I only have time to read kids books with my son! But over the summer I read 'Such A Pretty Fat' by Jen Lancaster. There were soooo many things in there I could relate to and she is just hilarious.

I'm reading Rough Country (Virgil Flowers Series) by John Sandford.

I finished reading Daniel's Gift by Barbara Freethy. It was good for light hearted reading.

Ooo, a topic very close to my heart! I love to read.

I'm currently reading The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne Valente. Wonderful, whimsical fairytale stuff, and tremendous fun!

On to the last book in the Allison Brennan trilogy - Fear No Evil.

Joyce - I really enjoyed the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, your right, what's not to like! I also recommend Lara Adrian's Vampire series if you haven't tried them.

I am into another Allison Brennan trilogy. I think I have 2 more of her trilogies to read after that. I like that her characters from previous books show up again later.
Read "Speak No Evil" and am about halfway through "See No Evil".

Kat - OMG I Love Lee Child's Jack Reacher books! Last month I read Second Son (short story) about when he was younger. It was pretty good. It would have made a really good full length story:)

7 more days until The Affair. I can hardly wait!

Yes I read, "A Child Called It". It was heart breaking! Such a good book. One that I'll re-read again some day.

after reading some posts here, i was curious. has anyone ever read "A CHILD CALLED IT" by Dave Peltzer? this book just pulls you in. it is a real life story of dave peltzer, who was abused as a child. it is truly an amazing book (kinda like TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE). it is guarenteed to bring you to tears at some point.

I went to see The Help on Sunday. I enjoyed the movie, but I enjoyed the book a lot more. The movie wasn't as heavy as the book. I guess they can't put all of the build up of emotions into the movie like they can the book. There was only one difference in the movie that I really liked, but for the love of God, I cannot recall what it was. The movie was good, but I think that people who haven't read the book enjoy it more than the ones who have. The book brought about a stronger emotional response for me than the movie did. My husband who didn't read the book, enjoyed the movie. I think it is worth seeing. I hope if you ladies enjoy it if you do watch it.

While my son was just in the hospital the 23rd for surgery I read The Help. I really wanna see the movie now, although I think it's going to be a lot different from the book. The book cracked me up in some places and brought tears to my eyes in other places. I loved the book, so I'm interested to see how they do the movie.

Dusty, while The Help was a very serious book, there were some pretty humorous parts in it. Maybe with the movie they wanted to bring people in to watch and see what it's really about. I do plan on seeing the movie, but I prefer to read the book first. I stayed up late the other night just to finish the book.

I read The Help a long time ago. It's a serious book and the trailer they're showing makes it seem like a comedy. I'm not sure what's up with that.

That's why I always read the books first:)

** Change is like walking an uphill, rocky road: you will stumble, you will fall. You may even roll downhill a bit. You will be tempted to stay down. You'll ask yourself "why bother"? But, if you pick yourself up and just keep pushing forward, eventually you'll get to the top and have a beautiful view! **
