Connie, typical breakfast table conversations in our house for the past month or so:

1. Review of last night's performance of all of the American League pennant contenders.

2. If the season ended now, these would be the playoff matchups...

3. The starting rotation for the coming series or two.

4. The latest of existing and rumored roster moves (fertile ground for O's fans, all season).

5. Wishing for some Nationals losses and better yet, a franchise relocation. Get them the hell out of our market before its too late. What kool-aid was Angelos drinking to allow this? Has he seen those empty seats at Camden Yards?

6. This date in 1970... (a Facebook page serves up daily memories from that cherished of all seasons for Orioles fans). Most recently: Pete Richert. You get the idea.

7. Whether my 16-year old daughter or 14-year old son will attend which upcoming games, and the shifting sands of parental and familial "fairness"

I am an avid, obsessed baseball fan, too! I was looking over your blog and envy that you were watching the Orioles during their glory years. I started with the Washington Senators in the late 50s and into the early 60s. So, I KNOW how to follow and support a perennially losing team. When the Senators folded in the 60s and I was involved in being a high-school teen who had no more time for baseball --just boys!) I let go of my love for the game. It wasn't until 30+ years later when I was practically bedridden from cancer treatments, that I chanced across an Orioles game on T.V. That brought it all back and I've been a fan since 1997. As I said before, I know how to support a losing team, so I've hung in there the past 15 years. This season has been a dream come true!
BTW, I started this Spark Team so I could "talk" baseball. There are many members but very few consistent fans. I'm glad you have joined us with your enthusiasm.

I got mine too. My Facebook status was thus:

2 Tickets per game plus close-in parking: Terrace Box, Row 7 between Home & 3rd base. Amer. League Division Series Game 2, Amer. League Championship Series Game 3 and World Series Game 5. All for a total of $900. Whatever $ is not used are applicable to 2013 season ticket renewal. Question: would you pony up?

Who else is a season ticket holder and got your package? Who else is captivated and consumed? Anyone?
