Hi all was a way for a week on vacation. Saw the movie and loved it it was great. Dancing is a great idea.

Here's a new Question of the Day: have you seen the movie Mama Mia!? The music is lively and the story is just a lot of silly fun. It will make you laugh. emoticon

Anyway, here's the reason for the question. I just purchased the CD of the music from the show. I danced emoticon to it this morning for my cardio and I got a great work-out! Plus, dancing was a change of pace from my usual walking or biking.

Let me hear from you about the movie and the idea of dancing for 40 minutes as a good cardio workout!

I'm with you,BRIEB3,there is NO rule that says we should never eat chocolate!!! And isn't it wonderful that dark chocolate emoticon is actually good for us?!! emoticon

There is a Spark People chocolate cake recipe that is easy and VERY good. It's called "Really, It's Low Cal Chocolate Cake". Check it out in the list of S.P. recipes.

Chocolate is my downfall! haha but sometimes to overcome my appetite for chocolate, I'll make chocolate jello or just try to choose a lower sugar based cake mix or low fat cookies or something....sometimes you can splurge though I mean cmon!!! :)

you are right on target! Keeping the tempting foods out of the house is the first thing to do. I read an article once about a woman who lost 100 pounds in a year. Her tempting food was ice cream. She told herself she could have it but she had to go out to get it. No ice cream in the house. That's how she did it.

Second, if you can't resist, having something in place to minimize the damage usually does the trick.

Anything in the house I am not supposed to have... Currently Wheat thins and port wine cheese or chocolate.

I try to keep things that tempt me out of the house but when they are here I make sure I count out the serving and add it to my tracker.

For my chocolate cravings... I think I saw somewhere on this site that the mini milky way bars (pretty much mini anything) are not really too bad calorie wise so I keep them in the freezer and I only grab one (sometimes 2) and I include them into my plan for the day.
