I agree on the Nutrition! I also believe in Training. THAT is essential. It's there where you find out how much hydration and fuel you need. I've run at distances from 1 mile to a Marathon. I've fueled differently for each distance. One thing which is consistent for me is this..
About 2 hours before any race or Triathlon, I do a Sandwich Thin with Peanut Butter and Honey. I will sip about 8 oz of Gatorade Endurance leading up to 15 minutes before the race. I will stop at every water stop to drink water (I will do Sports Gels during 10Ks, Halfs, & 26.2 distances.
You need to see exactly what is right for you. All the best and keep racing!

When I run a 5k race, I almost throw up after I cross the finish line, and I have to sit because I feel so faint. Then I end up with the worst headache all day. I think it’s nerves combined with running, but it’s awful. Plus I’m literally one heave away from throwing up, and I’m worried it’ll happen. I’ll be so embarrassed!
Anybody have any advice?
