I guess this goes with "calling myself a runner" but I only run rarely, and only if there's a medal at the end! I run for bling, so there will be times when I'll do 2-3 5K races a month and others where I go several months without doing any. (I live in Phoenix, so running in the summer is unappealing with temps in the 110-115 range.) In fact, I'd planned to do a 4 mile trail run yesterday and then a 5K today, but then our plans changed and I didn't do either one. I ran two 5K weekends in a row at the beginning of the month though, so the bling hanger is getting heavier anyway. :-)
BTW--I don't count running on the treadmill; I go to the gym as often as possible (every weekday, work permitting) and rotate running, elliptical, rowing, skiing and racquetball.

Most runners run 3 times per week unless you are following a training plan to run a 13.1 or 26.2. Otherwise, 3 times per week is good.

I started running this past spring. I run three times a week and have throughout. I walk a couple miles most off days and occasionally bicycle. I feel good about my three days a week. That it has helped me remain free of injury and burnout.

I'm the type of person who tends to go full out on things and then burn out. I'm doing my best to not injure myself and be responsible when it comes to running. I've been running/walking 5 days a week but I'm wondering if that's not too much. This week I've started trying to run every other day and walk only on the other days or do a walking video and do strength exercises the other days.

So how often do you run?
