Every 10k I've run (granted, that's not very many) has taken walkers and kept the course open until the last walker was in. I'm sure you'll be fine! You should definitely do it!

I agree, check to see if the race has a cut off time. I am a slower runner as well. I have not done any 10K's lately, but I have done many long trail races. As long as you don't mind coming in last, go for it!!!!

From what I've seen most races post what their closing times are, so you can make the determination.

I don't think there is a too slow unless the course closes on you. You go at your own pace doing what's right for you. Most races will post when the course closes, and you can make the judgement. If the 10K takes walkers, then the course will stay open plenty long enough for you to finish.

Hi! So I just finished my third 5k this year, and I beat my time by 2.25 minutes. I would love to tackle a 10k, but I feel I'm too slow. It will take me 1hour and 45 minutes to complete a 10k at my current pace. Is that too long?
