Jenny way to go on the race time. yahoo for you!!!

I did get on the treadmill after the party but 36 hours of bad food and limited rest took it's toll. I could only do three-5 minute run intervals and they weren't speed ones either. Spent the rest of the 40 minutes walking. At least I was moving again. My weekend has seemed so short due to working late on friday. Oh well off to sprawl on the couch and watch the Oscars.

Ran 8 good miles with Beth and Suzanne this morning. The city did a terrible job at plowing and there were some places where the footing was terrible. That being said, of all the things I thought I would have to worry about coming back from an illness it is my knees that are taking the longest. Was still great to be out there and see them again.

Joined the family for Chinese Buffet lunch and now working a shift at the hospital. Back later.

Naw, not the last snow. We are expecting more tomorrow. Oh joy. Anyway, Feb. and March are usually the snowiest months in NH. I think we will get alot more before spring. It isn't unusual to have snow on the ground through May and snow banks still lingering in early June. However, mid to late June, the weather gets wonderful and stays for a few months.
Anyone want to buy a house, cheap, with LOTS of fresh powdery snow to snow shoe in??? I know of one for sale:)

I would like to run outside but probably not until Tuesday or Wed. will the weather cooperate.
Glad to see PRs being broken and slushy runs happening:)

Hi guys. Back home from our hockey weekend away. I think Tyson did awesome, but then again, I always do. So happy to take him an d get to watch. Should know in a week or so the decision of the evaluators, and if he moves on to the next round.

Bobby, great race, and I'm so glad you got that monkey off your back.

Carrie / Deej - great times! Awesome job girls.

Anne, hope that you are feeling less tired today, and that the ankle feels better.

Doris, maybe the last snow of the season?

Mike - emoticon . So sorry to hear the timeline.

Trish, I always figured the truth works best. If they are asking, they've likely been talking with friends already. Better to get the truth from you, so he knows in the future he can keep coming to you for real answers.

Queen Christy - hi there! Always nice to see you in here.

Beth, nice on this morning's temperature. Love as the days get noticeably longer and the temps more bearable.

Penny, what's in Red Deer this weekend? Blech on the smoky room.

Hi to everyone else. Doing this from memory, and that just gets worse with age!

Hi All!

Jenny: That is an awesome time! emoticon

Bobby: Glad to hear that you are not suffering from anything "severe" after your race. Hope you and Anne have fun bowling...I have not done that in ages!

CStream: I know what you mean. I am ready for spring to get here and no more snow!!

Suzette: I am ready to be done with SU. I told my club that I was done and they asked me to please stay on. We've been together for about 8 years now, so I think they just like to get together and "play"!

Shadowmom: YAY for your mom! That is awesome news!

I was able to do 4 outside today. The sun was shining and I was actually hot! Felt great to get outside and off the treadmill. I start my Cardio Kickboxing class this week! I am excited about that. My DIL is doing it with me. I'll let you know how it goes!!

Have a great rest of the day!

Two -four inches of snow. Right. It is still snowing and there are six new inches! Sheesh. I wish I could get a cease and desist order for Mother Nature! Did some upper body stuff today and a TM workout. Gotta be able to do pull ups for the muddy buddy.......a wall to climb over:)
Anyway, not much going on here. Just, you know, shoveling:(

Trish, I found your conversation with Joshy cute....LOL

Elaine, prayers for your mom too! I gave up my SU demonstratorship about 1.5 years ago after doing it for 6. We must have joined around the same time.

Jenny, I'm jealous! What kind of GS cookies were they? We haven't bought any this year. I always eat the whole box of the caramels or are they now called Somas or something like that?

Doris, I still haven't gotten the courage to do a muddy buddy. Congrats to you for it!!

Carrie, enjoy the puppy play and new shoes.

Anne, I would have felt guilty too but if you don't feel good, how can you possible stand out there for hours. I would have opted to stay home too. Hope the meds get better and so does that foot...NO stress fracture!!
Now, I read that you opted for the hairdresser while Bobby raced? Um, can't wait to hear his response to that....ROFL!

Deej, congrats on the PR!!

Mike, Sorry about your mom and still sending up prayers.

Bobby, great 15 miler! What? No comment about how good Anne's hair looked??? LOL

Judi, good luck to Tyson!

Beth, enjoy your run with Frank and Suzanne.

Frank, enjoy your run with Beth and Suzanne.

Suzanne, enjoy your run with Beth and Frank. emoticon

Anne, enjoy bowling day! Been a couple years since I've gone bowling.

I went to the gym yesterday and rode the bike. The cardio felt good!

Today is the Grant Seafood Festival. It's been going on for 45 years and I've never been to it! Dh doesn't like crowds (which means we don't do much of anything!!) so we never went. I told him I'm going this year with or without him. He said he'd go but we'll see.....

I miss so much because of his *crowds* issue that it's really starting to get annoying!

Good morning. I can't imagine eating any thing very spicy. As I told one of my coworkers I think Miracle whip is spicy. LOL!!!

Family party here but hope to get a run in this evening. Been a few days and I can feel the body wanting some exercise.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. The snowstorm heading our way took a hard right and is going south of us. Sorry Iowa but better you than me. LOL!!!!

Morning runners!
Beth-Have a great run! And yes, the foot is from the hill repeats. When I was jogging slowly back down the last one I felt a stabbing pain in the top of my foot...right across the top. I have tendon issues there. When I trained for my half it cropped up and had an x-ray to make sure I could continue with the training. It was clear. This time it is much worse but hoping it is just the tendon again. Did some icing yesterday.
Shadowmom-great workout!
Kirsten-OMG....sticky slippers!
So today is family bowling day. We (about 20 of us) are meeting for a couple of games of bowling and then going to dinner. It is too fun and I love that all the young (20 and 30 something kids) all come and love it.
Also Beth-thanks for asking about my sister. She is not to bad. They are trying to regulate her cumodin (sp?). She has been back to the ER cause it was too low. And she fell when she arrived home from the hospital so she is banged up. But unfortunately she still hasn't tried to even eat better. Her husband now walks her to her car and helps her get from point a to point b. Enabling her more than ever. However she is still weak and maybe this will get better soon. One can only hope.
I am gonna try some strength training and maybe a ride on the exercise bike. Tomorrow running!
Later.

Hello, how is everyone tonight? Read through some of the posts, sounds like things are picking up for some, but not so for others.

Mike - I'm sorry to hear the news about your Mom, that has to be really rough.

Elaine - Glad you Mom is doing better, hope the chemo does it's job. My step-mom is a breast cancer survivor, she was declared cancer free last month.

Love the stories with the kids, I was fortunate, my DH got to have the "talk" with both of our boys.

Well I just finished W1D3 of the Spark 5K program, it felt really good tonight. Then I did 20 minutes of Core exercises afterward.

Penny - ew! I hope the rest of your stay is better!

Trish - rotfl! Sweet - thanking you for having him. Mine are too young to be all that curious, but we have had our run ins with the, ahem, actoutrements... My daughter calls the 'napkin things' "Mommy bandaid's." One day I found my 3 year old son with two of them stuck to the bottoms of his feet, calling them his 'sticky slippers.' Yeah, I switched to a higher cupboard! Frank - how do you know when it's over? CLASSIC!

Elaine, sorry and glad to hear about your mom. Sorry for the ordeal but glad for the miraculous catch and her progress with treatment. Yup, a Stampin' Up girl am I. Been a demo for about two years. I love it. I hope I can keep it up when we move.

Aw, Anne, hang in there. I'm sure Bobby knows you're with him in spirit and I know he wants you to be better.

Nera - mmmmm... pad thai! I like it on fire myself! lol - 'I showed you mine' - hysterical!

dang - bath time. brb

deej - were you saying we are 2 peas in a pod, listen to the bod right. what you talking about, i work hard out there and she should feel guilty. competitor, me, never! gave that up after being hurt so much, still like to push a little but not much anymore. did my last FAFSA last year!!!!

mike- sorry about your mother. congrats on a great run today, nice pace. deej is starting to track me down on my pr also(22:58) she can really move!

queen christy- how ya been? nice on joining up with anytime, that should help.

doris- sounds like a fun race, cool.

overall good race today. 15.17 miles, 2:32, 10 min pace. felt pretty good, some aches and pains along the way so i stopped twice to stretch. was prepared to stop at the end of any of the 5 mile loops but felt good enough to go on. they had water and gu every 1.5 miles so too advantage, trying to drink 15-20 min and fuel every 30-45 at most. if the leg was not bad i would have felt pretty strong. thanks for all your support!

penny- nice hotel, let them know about it

trish- nice conversation with josh, LOL. how sweet that he thanked you for giving birth.

carrie- i am soooo jealous of the new shoes! have a good run

deej-second one for ya. congrats on the PR, you blew that a way.

I made it home from my run. Yes it was cold for the first 1/2 mile but after that I was fine. it was 12 degrees. coldest I have ever run in. I know for most of you thats no big deal. just had 2 shirts and tights - could have done it with one. I ran the 7 miles in 9:38 so it was good run.

Have you ever finished a run and felt like I need to run more - I felt like I wasn't finished. Thats what I get for nopt running much this week with the heavy work schedule.

Congrats to Bobby - great job! You did it and the pace was good!

deej - A PR Wow going to have to get faster to keep up with you - Although my 5k pr is 25:00 - I haven't run a %K is so long. I do have a10k next Saturday..

Hi there pals!!

Anne, NOOOOOOO GUILT!! Don't make me come smack ya for sayin' that! I'd hug ya after but just sayin...... Honey you SOOO need to rest & I'm so glad you chose to do that!! The Rudder Boy knows you're his biggest fan & cheerleader whether you're there in person or not! Have him report in b/t/w as soon as he's finished, that boy worries me! Such a competitor! Of course, I would know nothing about that!! LOL Hope that ankle & foot heals up & hope ya just sat back this morn & enjoyed the quiet w/ a hot cup of java!! LOL 'bout the grown boys n the sex talk; so true!

Trish, ya had me laughing AND crying! When my youngest two were little; asked my Mom when I'd know when it was the "right time" for that discussion. She said when they're old enuf to ask, they're old enuf to know. They asked in route to her house when they were maybe, i dunno, 6, 8, 10ish??? "where do babies come from?" After I explained, my DD said, "ewwwwwwwww... you've done THAT twice!!" LOL I cried when you told about Joshy's comment b4 bedtime!! WOW's best I got too!!! (w/ a couple tears!)

Beth, what WO did ya do??

Carrie, awwww.... enjoy that quality puppy time!! I soooooo miss my lil' girl!

Elaine, FAFSA time here too! I should be a pro by now. Our deadline 3/10th. Wow what a story about your Mom; God is so good!! There much that's hard for our finite minds to grasp or understand, but ultimately He's just good!!! Funny, put a cup back in the cab this morn cuz noticed exterior had hairline crack, better go trash that one!

Kirsten, have so many friends who stamp :) beautiful art!!!

Mike, how'd that run go this morn?? Survived the cold I'm sure!! Hope ya at least had some sun; makes the cold easier!

Doris, how exciting!!!! My DD invited me to join her & friends for this one.... sounds much like the race you describe!! FUN! (doubt I'll do it! No more room on my race cal or in my budget).

www.christianrunners.org/frogtown/

5K was great! PRd :) yes I did!! ;) Long story short, a warm-up walk then a light jog from parking to start with some pain & thought of scrappin' it! Hit me that maybe the inserts my shoe guy recently put in my shoes in an attempt to solve another issue w/ my heels might be the problem cuz the one on the right side was not as comfy as one on the left. Removed the inserts, warmed a lil' more then stretched. Took it easy 1st few hundred yards n felt pretty good; could barely feel anything (no meds mind ya!), by 1/4 mile was picking up a lil speed & again, hardly knew it was there. Could see pace was good & knew if I just held it there I'd have a good race :) finished strong @ 25:38 (1 min 9 secs better than PR), 15th of 389 in my division. How ya say WOO HOO!! Gonna take it easy this week :) Sooooo grateful!

Ha, ha. Funny stories here with the "sex" talks!
Since I had the morning/afternoon alone I thought I would try my hairdresser and see if she had an opening. She did! So I went and had my hair cut-needed those layers shortened badly. And then she had her daughter-who I think is in training-blow my hair dry and style it. I really never have them do that cause I usually am going for a run after or something. But she asked if I minded and I figured why not?? So she said she was going to give me volume! Ha,ha...she never worked with my hair before! But she did a pretty good job. I think she was a little disappointed that it didn't get "bigger" but it looked bigger than usual. Too funny!
Then I headed to the drug store and bought some color for my hair and some new nail polishes. A girls day for sure! Only problem was I couldn't wear my tennis shoes cause it seems to irritate my foot so I wore my clogs. Didn't bother me much when I had them on but owie when I took them off at home. Guess I will loosen my shoe strings and put on my tennies for support.
Gonna vacuum before my dear hubby gets home...who by the way...did awesome at his race!
Later.

Good luck to everyone who is running this weekend. Have a great race.

Trish I cracked up over your story. I have had a couple of those with my son when he was younger. The funniest was one morning at about 4am. He was about 4 or 5. He came in to our room because he was an early riser. I don't quite remember how it all got started since I was so sleepy but he pulled his shirt up and showed me his chest. Then he asked to see mine. I said that was a personal private thing. He looks at me all pouty and says "well I showed you mine." It was way too early in the morning for such a converstation. LOL!!!

Home late last night. My work went out to eat. I had Pad Thai. Not spelled right but that is what it sounds like when spoken. It wasn't bad but I got the mild and was still a bit too spicy for me. Plus it was like 8pm by the time we ate. I didn't weigh in this morning. Since I ate so much so late really didn't want to see the scale this morning. Temporary or not a larger number would have sent me in to a tail spin.

Now off to the grocery store to buy party supplies. One last family party and the birthdays are finally done.

Morning everybody.

Trish - Your story reminded me. When we had "the talk" with my son it was quite the sight. Only an anatomy professor would actually use a college textbook (I am such a nerd). His best two questions: "When do you know when your done"? To which I replied, "one of you falls asleep". My wife was not thrilled with that. The other one was, "When can you do it again"? To which my wife said, "you want to take this one Dr. Smartass". I also remember having "the talk" with my dad when I was young. Boy, he had a lot to learn!

Morning all! Bobby is off to the race and I am sitting here in my jammies. Feeling quite guilty that I didn't go. Not because I am not running but to at least support him. I am just so exhausted. Don't know if it is just work or because of the change/reduction in medicine. I can barely get up and get my shower! I just couldn't imagine standing around at the race for 4 or 5 hours total time. So I opted to stay home. Still feel guilty, but ready for a nap already. The foot still is achy but at least the shin and ankle don't hurt. Was to do a LSD of 10 today but think I will hold off until next week. I am going to take the weekend off from running and run a short one on Monday to test it out. I WILL NOT miss the JASR race!
Trish-awww...the little talks with the boys! I remember those well. Bobby never wanted to so guess who did? It is easier when they are younger. They are more interested and ask questions. When they are older they are just appalled that their mom knows anything about sex!
Carrie-have fun playing with the pup!
Beth-enjoy the workouts!
Penny-Ewww...hot tub smells like comet...well at least it's clean. Might give you a rash tho!
Elaine-glad your mom is getting the treatment she needs. I feel the same way about one of my sisters. She had a cat scan of her lungs for her sarcoidosis and they saw a tumor in her kidney. She had kidney cancer and they caught it early. After the surgery (which she did very well with), she didn't even need chemo. God is good!
Mike-stay warm!
Well, I suppose I should do something. Or perhaps enjoy the quiet of the house. Dereks at State College visiting his brother, Bobbys at the race, puppies are sleeping....priceless!

Good morning, all!

I'm getting ready to leave to pick up my mom's pup... going to spend some quality puppy time with my little fluffball today. Running stuff is packed (new shoes, too!) and I'm going to break them in tomorrow morning with a little run around my mom's neighborhood.

Have a great day!

Good Morning! I have a busy day ahead. Need to get all my tax stuff together so we can get it to our accountant. Need to get it back so I can get the FAFSA done!

Anne: Thanks so much for the advice on the two windows! Makes sense! It is wonderful!

Trish: I was reading your post about your date with Joshy and was cracking up. Trying to picture the two of you in the car having this conversation. Brings back some memories of my boys when they were young!

Mike: Your mom is in my prayers. I am going through the cancer/chemo with my own mom right now. God has been a blessing during all of this. He was in it from the start....see, my mom fell off of a wall last summer while working in her garden. She had to have xrays done on her shoulder and back. If it weren't for those xrays being done, they never would have known she had a spot on her lung. We believe that God actually nudged her off the wall so she would have to get the xrays. She had 1/3 of her lung cut out and has been undergoing chemo. She will be done with chemo this Monday!! So know that your mom is in my prayers and God does work miracles!

So Kirsten, you are a Stamper!!!! So am I ...Stampin' UP! I have been a demonstrator for about 8 years now. Use to be very active in it earning the incentive cruises. However when I went back to work full-time I really slowed down. I only have a club and we meet every other month. I do love to be "creative" though!!

CStream: That is great that you signed up for your first race! I have done 3 so far. A 5K, 10K and half. I am considering signing up for the Shamrock Shuffle 5K next month.

Just got up to refill my coffee...as I was walking back into the living room it cracked. Gotta go clean up some coffee now emoticon

Hey guys,
Super busy day for me today. Tough one for the back for sure...

Tonight I had ringette with Joshy, then we went for dinner together (his choice)...he chose "FatBurger"...so I order a chicken burger, and some Poutine because Josh wants to try it, and he ordered a bacon cheese burger. He gets his, and says (in front of the server) Mom, it is Soooooo greasy. I waited until she was out of earshot, and told him I would mop it up with napkins...

I tried to eat my chicken burger, but the bun was so doughy that I couldn't handle it. Soooo, Joshy ate his, I ate about 1/4 of mine, we both ate about 10 french fries, and called it a night.

Thinking I had this date night in a bag, we headed home. Not sure how the conversation went from wondering if I would be in the room when Missy had her first kidlet to why do you need a napkin thing, or a pointy thing sometimes. He asked me where the pointy thing went, then said...awww Mom, I know that baby's come out inbetween the butt and the "pee hole". So we talked about periods, really basic...but when I told him that you had a period when the lining that would normally help the baby along isn't needed, it gets changed out once per month, he got more interested. He wanted to know how the whole thing happened (thankfully I didn't have to do the whole sex conversation). He asked what happened when I had him, what I felt, what my body did. Wow, it was certainly more than I expected to give to a 7 year old. He gave me a huge hug before he went to sleep, and thanked me for giving birth to him...wow, that's all I have...just "wow".

Have to work this weekend, hoping that I can get a bit more help with my bod...

Hugs,
Trish

evening rookies -

Ok I am just glad this week is over. Wow! what a week I have had with my moms news all the other stuff. Had some long hours and I am ready for the weekend. It has been really cold here for Portland Oregon - going to be around 12 degrees for my run tomorrow - that will be the coldest I have ever run in so wish me luck. Maybe I will try the 3 layered shirt look of Frank. Well I have about 8 scheduled and looking forward to it.

Have a great weekend and Hopefuly I can check in later in the weekend!!!!

Sitting in a hotel in Red Deer, AB. So far, I'm not too impressed with the quality of the Ramada - the heat was off when we got here, the room was not de-smoked, the fridge was not turned on.... and the hot tub smelled like Comet.
Back in Calgary tomorrow. I'll touch base then. I meant to just "spot" but I guess I needed to vent.

Good evening folks!! What a long day. I was up at 6 in prep of the snow. We got it. Finally stopped here but not before we got somewhere between 8 and 10 inches. Long day teaching and then I got to the gym for a run! I knocked off 6.25 miles in 1:05! Everything felt pretty good except my knees were starting to bother me in the last mile. All is well now and we'll see how Sunday goes with Beth and Suzanne. I've also decided to not run outside unless it is with somebody or a race until I am fully over this or until we crack 40 degrees. I just don't need to risk anything.

Anne11 - Enjoy the puck action!!

Jenny - Samoa's? And good luck on the run tomorrow!!

Deej - I am heeding your advice...good luck with the calf - hope you can run the 5K!!

Suezette - Awesome news!! Just take it slowly. Great to hear you can start back up!

Elaine - Hope it went well on your run.

Beth - Any clue as to what time on Sunday? I have to work at 3 and would like to be done by noon if possible.

Anne - Your body will tell you how you are doing. IF you do the race, good luck!

Doris - Good luck on that race!!

Penny - It will warm up someday, promise!

Mike - Prayers heading your way. So sorry to hear.

Hi all.
Mike: So sorry to hear about your Mom. Prayers heading your way.

I signed up for my first race in over a year! It is in June, a Renegade Challenge. I guess it really is a mud bowl obstacle course race......... the NH spark team is trying to get a team together. If we can, the Renegade challenge makes us special shirts:) Could be fun. I am excited but I better start working on upper body strength ASAP.

Anyway, hope all are getting better, whether it be faster, longer, more consistent runs or just getting better physically:)

Life is fragile. Love, laugh and enjoy.

Good Friday afternoon, RR's! Haven't been by in a little while...thought I'd share my news with you. I joined Anytime Fitness this week--I've been twice and I do believe it's really going to help me. And since I'm spending the money for the membership, I'm sure NOT gonna waste it! Still struggling with the eating plan but that will come along.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend--SPRING IS HERE! (At least it is in northwest Louisiana... emoticon )

Yup, it's snowing here in western Pa too. SICK of it!!! Derek and his cousin are heading to State College late this afternoon. It is STATE Paddy's day. Since the college closes for spring break on Saint Patty's day the college kids decided to start a tradition to party a week early (like they needed a reason)!. This has been going on for years and I am sure will continue. Just hope the boys don't have problems driving in the snow. The trip there is always on terrible roads.
I am on the fence about the race tomorrow. The top of my foot still is tender (from the hill repeats Wednesday). And now the ankle and shin are aching a little. It isn't bad. Maybe a 2 out of 1-5 on the pain scale. But scares me that 10 miles might really set me up for an even bigger issue. I want to be healthy for JASR! Bobby is still aching and sore and I keep telling him to hold off on his 15 mile race too. Don't think he is listening. I will decide tomorrow morning.
Shadow-great job on the running.
Beth-hope the painter shows up sometime.
Deej-Yay on the feeling a bit better!
Suezette-Double Yay's on the running shoes helping!!!
Mike-keeping your Mom and family in my prayers
Frank-sounds like a good idea to run inside.
Elaine-I have to open two windows usually to comment...it's just to hard otherwise!
Jenny-that is too cute about the little ones! Love it! Yikes on the girl scout cookies. But I can relate...only in cake!
O.K. Gotta get some rest before heading out to work again. Since Derek is going out of town I have to do my old job that he has been doing. Sheez, I was gettin' spoiled!
Later..

Hi All! Just read through all the posts and now I am tired! Whew...y'all are so busy! I think what I will need to do is simply keep a note pad by my side when I am reading so I can respond properly!!

Today is a run. 3 miles and also arm workout. I am stopping by the arts center today and signing up for Cardio Kickboxing. It sounded like fun and will give me a 4th workout for the week!

Jenny, you are excused from running for me....I wouldnt' want to run with a hurt back either...might make it worse!

Deej, happy to hear the leg is better! Whew, you had me worried there!

Anne of 11, Beth, and Frank, sorry your getting more snow! Hope spring arrives soon!

Trish, sorry about the cardiac test results!!

Mike, still sending prayers and hugs!

Bobby, you'd better not run today....you have a 15 miler on Saturday!! Take it easy buddy!!

JohnFS, nice runs! Keep it up!

'm getting ready for my doctors visit!

But I got some good news. The boot was really bothering my ankle and it was starting to hurt worse then the foot. So DH suggested last night I wear my runner's since they have support. HOLY COW! What a difference! I'm even more confident I will be running soon now!
Well, as long as I quit walking so funny....LOL

Will report back after seeing the doc...oh and going to pick up my race packet for the race I won't be racing on Saturday and also stopping at the grocery store for more fruits and veggies.

The good that came out of this injury is I'm back on track with my nutrition. I had to change my mindset because of not exercising and eating. It's working! I've lost a pound already!!

Good Morning!

It IS still morning, isn't it? :)

John, nahhhh... bought new shoes cpl weeks b4 Miami. You sound so upbeat :) love it! I too am excited for warmer weather!

Bobby, no worries... never allow myself excuses! IF ever you kick my butt, you'll kick it fair n square! Now, take it from the Deej the "pot", listen to that bod Mr. black "Kettle"!! If it says whoa, then WHOA!

Trish, hopin' I never meet YOUR kids in a dark alley!! 30 below? No thank you; I'll keep the thunderstorms.

Beth, 6" better than 12", guess ya gotta take what little relief ya get! Hope the painter mishap WAS simply a misunderstanding & they show soon!

Frank, take no chances; track's a wise choice as ya ease back in!

Mike, hope the morphine eases the pain! I still have her in my prayers! Patricia, right? Oh an nah, no compression socks, have a variety of wraps.

Shadow, nice workout! Stick with it, you'll be amazed at how quickly you progress!

Nera, have good workday; wise to take a rest day with such long hours!

AnneMommy, have a FUN weekend!! Glad you get those breaks once in awhile. Jeremy's tummy bug better? Have a nephew named Jeremy :)

Annie, after August, I too will have two 20 somethings! Maybe we can start a support group!!

Susan, is that you kickin' butt??

Jenny, The K-Garten play sounds soooo fun; can just see the lil ones as veggies!! Precious!! Good thing Girl Scout cookies are only sold once or twice a year!! My belly aches thinkin' about it; I have other vices so not gonna judge but YIKES! Careful "POUNDING" those 8 girl!

Thanks crew for the well wishes!! I think I'm a little better; I haven't noticed any swelling, not even immediately after, just ached so bad. I've iced & wrapped, elevated, rolled & been drinking some muscle recovery stuff & taken a lil' ibuprofen. Doesn't hurt to walk on it but can feel it :( In hindsight I think I prob brought it on by not warming up which is a no, no for me with most runs, especially a tempo; embarrassed to admit it! But it is what it is & gonna see how it feels in the morning. I'll stay off it today & may just watch the 5K from the sidelines :( nieces running it & SIL walking it; her 1st BIG race :) I'll be there to cheer them in regardless. Will def hold off on my 15 miler till I'm sure it's okay.... too many races on my calendar to take too big a risk!

Love ya guys, have a happy Friday & be SAFE!!

JUNEBUG616 - 5K - and her FIRST 5k in Tampa doing the Gasparilla Distance Classic
