ooh yes, please do send it over whenever you get a chance! sounds yummy! i usually make it very simple- just salt, haldi, green chili, rye, onions, methi dana. i don't even make pakora for it- i'm a purist :) i'll definitely try your version!

Yes, I make it all the time. I will figure out exact recipe for a small amount and send it to you. This is how I make it usually. It comes out best if you use full fat yogurt but you can use nonfat too. Few years ago my husband bought full fat Chobani by mistake and I did not want throw away 2 lbs. of yogurt, so I made kadhi and we absolutely loved it so I started getting it just to make kadhi.
I take two lbs. full fat greek yogurt, put 1 cup of besan and a little water and mix it well. then I add more water to desired consistency. I temper it with vaguer with ghee, cumin seeds, whole cloves, hing and fresh limdi. I put lots of crushed garlic, salt, ginger paste, crushed chilies and turmeric, also a small amount of sugar. You stir it constantly till it starts boiling than let it simmer on its own. I garnish it with chopped cilantro if I have it. I have to make exact recipe for smaller amount for my children. If you want it let me know.

how lovely :) do you have a good gujarati kadhi recipe? i had an amazing bowl of it once in canada and it's different than punjabi kadhi. i haven't tried to make it gujarati style yet.
