IDK if i call it a green thumb...lol..my mom used to call it a super thumb..hers was the black thumb.. she could make a live forever plant croak... But i have been known to grow basil and tomoto's over 5 feet high and produce alot.. Next year i plan on trying my hand at broom corn.. grows 16 feet tall. it's what they use to make brooms from.. and i figure it would suffienciently block out my one PITA neighbor..lol...

i have not read the article yet.. but i was raised with 2 parents that did use heral rememdies on us..i think they are a good first line of defense.. I use them on myself and my own children.. However.. I do keep a staple of ibuprofen and acetaminphen in the house just in case... But i think if more people gave herbs a try.. they'd see the benefits...after all drugs are JUST synthetic versions of most herbs...

lol.. I have 4 clumps to get rid of next year... 6 in total.. But i only really use 2 at a time. :) So if you want some.. they'll be here for you.. :)

the staple herbs in my garden are oregano, thyme, sage, Rosemary, chives, lemon balm and peppermint.. lemon balm you can take a few leaves.. crush them in your hand and rub on your skin and it's a natural bug repellent.. works better than commercial spray... I need to seperate my sage plants and chives next spring.. so keep them in mind if you're looking for some.. I'm free!
