Like others, I created a Wii Fit Plus exercise and use that to enter my time & calories. I enter what my HRM says on days I wear it & enter what the Wii Fit says on the other days. The HRM is the most accurate of course; but it also varies a lot depending on how much I put into the workouts.

For the strength training on the Wii, I just use the user added option in the strength training menu here and add the number of reps.

Hi!

Your not going to like my answer - but I've found that both the Wii & Sparkpeople were WAY off of what I was actually burning. I use a heart rate monitor and get, what I feel, is a more accurate number.

What I would suggest you do is use a number between the two numbers you have. So .. the wii says you burned 100 and Sparkpeople says it was 80 - I'd use 90 as my number. Remember - it's just a number. A guessitmate.

As far as recording the strength training - that's really a you call. It's all in how you want to do it or record it. If strength training is more important to you than cardio - you may want to record it differently then all lumped together in the cardio. It's totally up to you, how you want to do it.

Good luck on your journey - and remember ... Never, ever, ever, ever give up!!!

I put everything in the "add cardio" section. Then I add it manually instead of choosing what they already have, since the wii tells you how many calories you have burned.

OK, so i did the wii fit free step today, 20 minutes for the first set, and turned the beat up to where im getting just under 2000 steps in 20 minutes, where the usual goal is 1600 steps. well, when i put it in, its giving me 88 cal down rather than the 124 the wii says...which one should i follow? is there anything i can do to get the extra lump?

side note: i did strength training on the wii fit, and none of them are on the "add exercise" except for one, which you can't change the reps on! anyone got any idea how to deal? do i just not put the strength in?
thanks for any help!!
