wow.. I never thought of it that way.. so now I'm going to have to grind out a new level on my treadmill and hopefully get some good loot!! I know exactly what the quest reward is going to be too!!

** Change is like walking an uphill, rocky road: you will stumble, you will fall. You may even roll downhill a bit. You will be tempted to stay down. You'll ask yourself "why bother"? But, if you pick yourself up and just keep pushing forward, eventually you'll get to the top and have a beautiful view! **

Interesting. Maybe my workouts will be more fun if I imagine I am leveling up :)

I believe your sentiment is shared by many. Those things which are important to us will be worthy of all our efforts and training. How long have some of us spent crafting the character build that will be most successful or expresses our own personality? Each of us can use the same mindset and craft the body we want. Thanks for posting your thoughts! :)

Haha! I never thought about it that way, but as a recent convert to The Guild series let us remember that Zaboo went off to "power level" in the real world to win his love!

I guess I can see my weight now is like getting knocked off by a boss in FF and having to go back to the field and do my physical therapy (knee) until I think I'm high enough level to beat the boss... or in this case the stairs. ;) Great inspiration! Thanks for the insight!

i have ALWAYS loved rpgs. when i first starting playing console games, up til today, my favorites are always LONG games with the ability to upgrade characters until they are insanely powerful. and in games like final fantasy, i never even thought about the fact that i would spend HOURS grinding away until i had fully upgraded my characters.

i was thinking about it the other day - why am i willing to spend hours getting characters in my game stronger through repetitive tasks, but i get so bored when my exercise routines are the same? why do i have to force myself to put in the extra bit of time for exercise, when it just seems natural that my characters have to spend ages getting stronger?

so from now on, when i don't feel like putting in the time to exercise, i will remind myself that it is just like grinding in a game - it may not be the most exciting part, but it will prevent hardship in the next major adventure.
