Oh Susan, you have not looked at the thread called the UFO challenge. What you are talking about is MILD compared to some of the knitters on here.

Welcome to the team

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your hea

Oh, dear!! Found the pattern for a hot pad I made some years ago. Love the pattern and had been searching for it - could not remember how it was made. But, I think i have enough yarn for it - or not. Will have to look.

When you hubbny is linterviewing for a new job and you have to check to see how many yarn stores are in the area. Sadly we are in the sock capital of the USA and no craft stores without having to travel at least 40 minutes in any direction.

No dog yet since I am still in mourning for my fifteen-year-old Golden Retriever, but I do have thirty singing American Singer Canaries, which I show in song competitions. Haven't knitted any sweaters for them, yet, though I would, if I could only get them to stand still long enough to get their measurements!

Yes, I secretly spec out yarn shops before I go somewhere! I have one: You know you are a knitter when you dream of buying yarn - and in the dream, something is $74 a skein - and you buy 2. Gack!

those are cute.

I found some a while back which where stools/ottomans where you could basically have your yarn right at your feet and if necessary it was additional seating.

I'm right there with you, Intredpid!

How about this; you are asked to attend a party, and are given 100 to buy a new outfit. You spend 10 on charity shop clothes, and the rest on craft supplies to update them!

You're given a 10 spending limit on your secret santa, so you find out their fave colour, spend 10 on wool, and knit them a scarf/hat/gloves set.

Just because you have been through the rain of life doesn't mean I have to walk around in wet clothes forever; there is a warm towel, a big hug, and a mug of low fat cocoa waiting for you somewhere!

Christmas... heck every celebration something for me has to be craft related.

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place.
