I have a reminder on my fitbit to get up and move every hour throughout the day. I used to take the dog for a small walk but now with the bad weather I just walk circles around the wall that divides our kitchen from the family room.

I had been doing hourly cardio bursts, but when my fitbit broke, I lost my reminders. I will figure out an alternate way of remembering to get in those two to three minutes of activity each hour. It added up to around 2,000 steps per day.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

A busy work from-from-home day? A busy day of chores at home? Schedule five-minute breaks each hour to walk, get a glass of water and return fresh to your task.

According to jigsaw box.com, the natural rhythm of the brain and body means that few people can focus on the same thing in the same way for more than about 45 minutes.

BONUS/ALTERNATE CHALLENGE: Sneak in some ab work throughout the day. Contract your abs, hold for two seconds, release, never holding your breath.

Try five to ten cross punches a few times today. Keeping your ab contracted works the core while getting a little cardio:

If you have a cardio workout planned, try to keep your abs contracted throughout your workout (without holding your breath). It's a good way to work your core during cardio as well as protecting your lower back.
