Thanks for the tips and article. Since I'm battling a bad cold, it's perfect timing. I went to get my flu and shingles shots but they want me to wait until I get over the cold.

What are you Thankful for this Thankful Thursday?

I am thankful for so much...today I will post about being thankful for it will be opportunities. These things are always there if we choose to seize them. Most of us on the Daily Challenge have opportunities given to us everyday. We are truly blessed because of this.

Do you have your immune building plan in place? We're heading into cold and flu season. Build yourself up....

Here are some nutrients and foods that may enhance our immune systems. How many of these nutrients can you get today:

Vitamin C-rich foods, like citrus fruit and broccoli
Vitamin E-rich foods, like nuts and whole grains
Garlic
Zinc-rich foods, like beans, turkey, crab, oysters, and beef
Bioflavanoids, which are found in fruits and vegetables
Selenium-rich foods, like chicken, whole grains, tuna, eggs, sunflower seeds, and brown rice
Carotenoid-rich foods, like carrots and yams
Omega-3 fatty acids, found in nuts, salmon, tuna, mackerel, flaxseed oil and hempseed oil.
