Like some fruit in the summer like cantaloupe and honey dew but do get them often.

I love summer fruit but I did take veggies (raw to work and ate those) also had a nice salad for dinner. Got my quota today!

its so true, but actually i have a hard time getting in fruit....I do a lot of veggies and sometimes no fruit....so i had some good fresh cantaloupe, and finished the rest of the day with my veggies...... salsa, artichokes, spinach, red potato, and more....yum! :-) thanks for this!

I have had an ear infection for 17 months now, and it has destroyed my ear drum and it is a fungal infection, but nothing has seemed to work so far, anyway, a good day for less sugar, the doctor told me today to eat fewer carbs and much less sugar, and this is my nightmare, so, maybe this will be the catalyst that kicks my sweet tooth, sure hope so, I did have a double helping of watermelon earlier, but that is all the fruit so far today, and bread will be so hard for me to give up, but I will definitely do it, hard to go to the doctor weekly and have your ear suctioned out (gross huh?) and painful too

So far so good! I've been stressed lately & already today I wanted sugar - I bypassed brownies easily, but when I saw the last few raspberries in the fridge, it was hard to resist. I realized I didn't want that sugar right away, & I'd rather save them for dessert later. Took out a long carrot & some hummus instead!

Oh, that sounds so good! emoticon emoticon Instead of my regular strawberry smoothie, I think I will add spinach to it (which you can't really taste it in the smoothie, and which I forgot about, lol). And, also make an extra cucumber and tomato salad with balsamic vinegar. emoticon

You are so right- it is easy especially with all the summer melons, cherries and peaches to over do it.... so paying attention to the lovely veggies that fill the farmers markets this summer is a great thing- I am having fun with the corn on the cob that is just coming out, the summer squash, and the fresh spices... I am having fun with brown rice, black beans and a mixture of all the veggies in this mixture with just a touch of spice and tomato sauce.... I have gotten in a lot of veggies this way by just loading it up...

You probably read the challenge title and thought it sounded weird. The truth of the matter is that fruit still has sugar in it; luckily it's offset by lots of fiber. However, many people eat lots of fruits and few veggies, when it should be the other way around. Try replacing your apple oatmeal with a veggie stuffed omelet. Or replace the fruit salad with a big, green salad,
