Shooting for 1000 cardio minutes this month (we will be gone on vacation for a week- am going to exercise, but have no idea how to log it after the fact)

I currently strength train 6 days a week 10-15 minutes per day. I work a different area each day. I am happy with that routine and plan to stick with it.

I missed maybe 3 days of exercising in August so I did fairly well.

I hope to continue to do 10-15 mins of strength daily and 30-40 mins of cardio daily. I average about 600-1000 mins/mo now and would like to make that 1000+.

While I don't follow the C25K exactly, I have been increasing my running/walk time and now can do a little over 2 miles on the treadmill and continue to increase my speed as well.

I am going to try for 1500 cardio and 3 days strength training a week (I really need the strength, I'm good doing the cardio, bad on strength) and yes drank my 8 glasses of water - and more!

After reviewing everything, I have decided to opt out of this challenge. I have accepted a challenge on another team (Slowest Loser) and want to focus on it. I also have upcoming duties with a church-related group that I must meet.

I will check in occasionally to cheer on those of you participating.

If I find myself able to handle more later in the month, I will join late.

Summer slacking is OVER! I WILL do 1000 cardio minutes in September and for strength... I'm not sure. I signed up to do Jillian's 30 Day Shred, and isn't that everyday? Let's say 800 minutes of strength training. I can always course correct for October emoticon

August was not my best month for keeping my body healthy, food wise nor with working out. I HAVE TO GET BACK ON TRACK. Therefore I am setting my cardio goal at 1200 mins and strength training at 2-3 days a week. My plans are to join a gym and change up from how I have been working out. emoticon

Have been tracking exercise - walking about 2 miles 4-5 days a week so 8-10 hrs a week.
Strength is 1 day and now is 2 days. Will raise the cardio to include .5 extra mile a day - some sort of cardio.

My goal for August was 800, and I'm at 1108! Still have some more exercise planned for later, too!

My goal for September will be at least 1000. Strength training goal will be 4 days per week (which is what I'm at now).

I'd like to concentrate on running three times per week. For a while, I've only been doing 2 days per week, and I'd like to increase my mileage a bit.

A minimum of 1000 fitness minutes for the month of September. I'd like to get in two strength training sessions a week. I'd like to get to the body pump class we have at the gym. hmm seeing as how I wasn't doing anything much last month anything would be an improvement I'm going to shoot for 20 minutes 6 times a week that's 520 minutes marked off on my Sept calendar for cardio and I will shoot for more.

I'll work on fitting in some strength training as well!

My goal for August was 1200 fitness minutes. I have 1416 so far and I'll probably get more yet today.

I think I'll keep my goal at 1200 for September. I'm going to a wedding and that will interrupt my schedule.

I aim for at least 3 days of strength training a week. I'm going to keep that goal until I have maintained it consistently over time.

Challenge 08/31/10: emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Happy Tuesday to you!

We are going to try something new for September regarding EXERCISE. Make a goal for CARDIO AND STRENGTH TRAINING!

FIRST: Determine how many cardio minutes you want to accomplish in September. Consider how many cardio minutes you achieve right now for a week. How much would that be in a month? Can you increase that by a bit for September?

SECOND: How many days of strength training are you doing right now? Can you increase that this next month?

THIRD: Once you have come up with your cardio minutes/strength training days target for September, MAKE A NOTE OF IT. Put that number on your calendar. Stick a Post-It note to your bathroom mirror. Put a note in your gym bag. POST IT HERE!

LAST: Were you with our team for the entire month of August? How did you do with cardio minutes? Did you exceed your target? Did you find it challenging to squeeze in exercise? Feel free to post how you did in August.

Remember to drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water and take your multi-vitamin today.

Have a GOING TO ROCK NEXT MONTH Tuesday!
