There is a thighs of steel video out there that is great. It has a 25 min cardio segment that tones the thighs and buns, there is also a 20-25 minute toner.

Yes, squats and lunges are great for the hips, thighs, and glutes. Nicole's videos are also great, so check those out and stay consistent with your workouts. You'll notice more shapely hips, thighs, and glutes. Best of luck in reaching all of your fitness goals.

Like the PPs have already said, the best way to burn fat is by creating a calorie deficit through healthy eating and cardio. Our trouble spots are often the last place that we lose weight, but trust me, as you approach your goal weight your thighs and hips will get smaller.

I agree that exercises using your body weight like squats and lunges are most effective for building lower body muscle.

Most lower body workouts are good for the hips and thighs. Try exercises that entail squats or lunges.

Go to the Healthy Lifestyle section then Fitness. Towards the bottom you will see the lower body workout videos.

Amanda, the best thing you can do is lose weight through diet and cardio and strength training. Exercise your upper, lower and core. Coach Nicole has some great videos for all parts of the body.

Current wisdom is you can't target one spot in the body to lose weight, but you certainly can tone and strengthen. Here is a Fitness Magazine site that has some thigh and butt exercises you might find helpful:

Sorry Amanda but there is no such thing as spot reducing. With overall weight loss, you will eventually lose in the spots you want. You can tone certain areas but; check out the article at the below site...it gives a better explanation.

hey there everyone ! my name is amanda and i have a question in regards to my hips and thighs...lastnight i got my bf to take pics of me in my skivvies (if thats how you spell it LOL) and i was so shocked when i seen the pics ! i could not believe the size of my hips and upper thighs...i literally cried for like an hour, i couldnt help it...i know i am overweight but just seeing myself exposed like that was unbelievable !

my current measurements for my hips are 49" and my thighs are 27.5"

my goal is to get down to 38" for hips and 22" for thighs

so now to my question...what are the best exercises for these areas ? what exercises gave you the best results ? also if you guys could provide at home exercises that would be great !

im really feeling down about my hips and thighs
