There should be a thread that is titled "All the workouts and challenges in one place" I started posting to it a while ago and got about 40 days into it. Need to get more up there!

Good luck!
I had high hopes about gettting back to it after the past week, but then got pretty sick, and am still not up to doing the workouts. But I will do today's challenge to creat a workout plan for the month!

Um, hi everyone.

I signed up for the bootcamp back in May, but then life threw me a curve and I never really got started. This weekend I've decided it's time to take the bull by the horns and get healthy. I've been trying to read back through the challenges and did do the Day 1 video today. Wow! Didn't know I was THAT out of shape. I will say I felt really good after I was done.

Any tips on which thread/forum would help me best to recreate the bootcamp? Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to mess this up again.

Well, I had good intentions, but got really sick last night. It certainly makes today;s challenge to keep soium below 2300mg easy!! But there's been no exercise in my day today. Hopefully will feel better soon and get back on track.

I've been really bad this week about doing the videos, so I'm "starting again"! Did 1/2 hour abs class today in place of the Day 7 video, and I'm doing the "revisit your stats from Day 1" challenge.

I've been bad about posting here this week! I'm going to have to do the day 7 workout tonihgt, and the challenge for today is to buy one new item of clothing (the idea being that you've probably lost inches and need something that fits). With Christmas so close I don't have much money to spend on myself, but I've been talking about buying some stuff, so maybe I'll do that.

Been keepin gup with the videos and challenges, except for last Thursday- the kids got up earlier than I would have liked. I've also been getting in about 60 minutes of running Sun, Mon, Wed and Sat. Not quite 30 minutes each day, but the total works out!

Holly- I haven't been getting notifications when I have a new SparkMail, but I've been getting these...the trouble is, if you get one about a particular thread and don't click through it to the thread, they stop sending them to you until you come back to the thread. You should start getting them again now.
Yesterday did Day 2 and the Pilates Hips and Thighs video challenge, plus 70 minutes of cardio bwecause I started the "Spark Your Way To a 10K" training for a 10K on March 29, 2009.
Getting ready now to do Day 3, and the challenge today is to eat whole grains whenever possible (with a note that "wheat bread" is not a whole grain) emoticon

Oh... wow!!! Evidently, something somewhere hiccupped, because I had not received any notification of activity on this post, and just seen it on the digest.

I've been doing well... even on days that I can't get a video in, I do reps of various exercises throughout my day. Not enough to lose anything, but enough to keep me from gaining!

Samer, good luck on the exam! Keep eating well- it will help you get through the exam in better shape, and it'll help you not lose ground with the bootcamp stuff!

Did "day 1"- my 60 minute body step class, and did another 20 minutes on the treadmill afterward, plus the Lower Body Stretching" video for the challenge. I'm starting to see a difference in the numbers on my scale! Very exciting!

Actually I'm not doing any exercising these days, I'm feeling stressed because of the exam that I'll have next Saturday while I have too much to study.

after the exam , I'll return back to the track , but I hope I would be achieved the PMP certificate.

Did Day 6 and the 7-8 hours sleep challenge yesterday.
Instead of the Day 7 abs video today, I did a 1/2 hour abs class, and did 4.25 miles on the treadmill- the challenge was to take a brisk 15 minute walk.

Yesterday did Day 2 and the 6 minute hips glutes & thighs challenge. Got called to KidZone 10 minutes into my workout last night because my son got sick, so only got 10 minutes of cardio instead of the 30 needed and 60 I had planned :(. Today did Day 3, and Day 1 since I know I'm not going to have time to do cardio today (have to get both my husband and I over to vote!), and the challenge is to eat a healthy salad before a meal- can do!

Hiya!
Sunday's I go to a 1 hour Body Step class, so I usually don't do the Day 1 video. I was going to today though, because the challenge is "aim for 60minutes of light activity- until I realized that Body Step is anything BUT "light" activity LOL! I typically burn about 900 calories inthat class.

I'm very happy for this nice spirit that I find in this group,keep on and never give up - trying to motivate myself-.
Yesterday I finished Day 1 for week 3 plus the day challenge and 20 push up and dumbbells workout.

Luv,don't push on yourself ,begin with the two minutes then automatically it will increase by time .
when I began exercising my fitness level was miserable but by the time I was able to run for 40 min. continuous- that was in the past :(

Just finished the video for Day 7, and put in 30 min walking on the treadmill. I'm excited since it's the first time I've been able to do both in one day.

I would like to start running, but can't seem to run (slowly) for more than two minutes. Any suggestions?

Hello, I didn't get in any videos yesterday, but I walked through all the outlets with my twins for over an hour, so I feel I got my exercise in!

Jill, is the 5 pounds a personal November goal, or one for a different group? I think I will join you in that...I want to lose that by Turkey Day.

Luv, the challenges are scattered in the Daily Challenges under General Team Discussion. Coach Nicole sent them as part of the message with the workout links, and then in June, July and August Outofcontrol and SarahVW sent just challenges. Unfortunately, they are not in order, so you kind of have to hunt for them. I've done an Excel calendar for myself with all of them, but I can't find a good way to post it. I'm hoping to have a chance this weekend to do a single post with just a list of all the challenges chronologically, and I'll probably put links to all 7 bootcamp videos in there, too.

I just finished Day 4, and the challenge for Dy 4 was to eat 3 servings of veggies. Should be fine, since I usually have a salad for dinner on Wedneday nights!

Calecam, I'll bet you got some good playtime cardio or strength exercises in with your granddaughter! Don't discount the power of everyday activities!

I just finished the Day 3 workout and the Day 3 challenge (2 sets of close arm pushups, 12 reps).
Went to the gym last night and did 4 miles on the treadmill. I was going to do more, but part of the reason why I got out of the running habit was shi splints, and my shins were twinging last night, so I figured I'd stick with walking.

In the 4 months that I consistently did the Bootcamp workouts and challenges, I lost the more weight than just tracking (and I was already going to the gym 4 days a week, for about an hour each time), and saw great changes in muscle tone. Unfortunately, I also ate more, which was completely a will-power issue on my part, and didn't see as much change as I could have.
I did lose 5 lbs, and dropped from a size 13-14 to a size 10. I haven't been comfortably in a size 10 in 18 years!
Hope that helps!! I did plug all the challenges into a blank calendar, now I just have to figure out if I can post it somewhere.
I woke up late this morning, but I'm going for a walk at least today, and putting on my pedometer for the first time in 2 months.

Hiya!
I started the Bootcamp back on May 1 with Coach Nicole and kept it up through the summer, then fell off the wagon when school started and my son's schedule changed- just enough to keep me from getting up in the mornings before him to do my workout. So tonight I was sitting here catching up on email, and reread the "SparkStart" article (the same one Samerk referenced!) and figured now was a good time to start with the Day 1 video. So, here I am again after that, feeling much better about life in general, and would love to join you! I'm really bad about finding the time to post, but will try my darndest to keep up with you guys!! I'm hoping to find time to go back through all the challenges and plug them into a calendar- maybe I can figure out a way to post that.

Hey everyone! Haven't worked out yet today, but did two videos yesterday - yea me!

I am about to start cleaning for visitors, so that should be some calories burned - haha! I will try to get the video in later. It is getting easier to do the videos because my 4 yr old twins LOVE to 'exercise' with me and ask me to do them!

Just got back from my daughter's volleyball game, so I haven't gotten anything in yet. Gonna try in a bit to at least do the video.

Hello everyone! I just finished my day 3 video, and was able to get in 30 minutes on the treadmill. Haven't entered my food yet, but I'm hoping I'm in range.

Hi, sorry I wasn't on yesterday. But, I did bike for 15 min. and walk for 30 mins on Monday. Today, I managed to Bike for 30 mins and swim for 30 mins, the pool really felt great. I am goingto go there every day at 10am

Hello again! 7:50 here, I just finished day 2 video. I didn't get any cardio in since I was at my daughters volleyball game, but am hoping to get a good 30 minutes in tomorrow. Didn't do so hot on the nutrition side, made calories, but over in fat and low in carbs!

Sounds yummy Samerk! I did Day 2 this morning, a quick jog this evening, and since we had leftovers tonight, I had turkey smoked sausage, green beans, kidney beans and diced potatoes with some raw cabbage on the side.

its 11 PM , I walked for one hour after my work time .

Today is Monday 7:30 AM (+3 GMT), I just finished Day 5 Bootcamp plus the optional workout and I add 20 Rep. Push ups.
i'm planning to go for a walk for 45 min. after work .
I'll go to have a rest now then the shower :)

Well, it is 8:30 pm and I just got done with day one of the boot camp... felt good, although a bit awkward in the kitchen.... ah, well.
I did not get much else done today, unless you count the hours I spent searching for requested books... a bit of walking, and believe it or not, some crawling on hands and knees! LOL!

I work a variety of shifts... mornings, evenings, and splits....
I'll do the bootcamps in the mornings Monday thru Friday, and the evenings on the weekends. I'll get my extra where ever I can get it in.

I would LOVE to be able to work out in the morning, but I leave for work at 5:30 (an hour commute!), so I try to get my workouts in by 6 or 7 pm, depending on when we eat.

Samerk, I agree that additional workouts are necessary. Nicole's videos are right at our fingertips and so convenient, it should be easy to get them in! But in the event that we just can't get to that extra boost of additional exercise, we can't beat ourselves up for it. Something is better than nothing, right?

Well , I'm glad that you are glad HDCHAN :)
I finished today the third day workout but still i want to go for walking after the worktime , I hope I can do it.
I think we must add some more workouts if we want to loose the needed weight within this month , I dont think the videos are enough, for me I add yesterday the 15 minutes for Abs videos (also by Coach Nicole) ,, what is your openion?

I'm starting today, actually, but glad to have Samerk on board with us! He is one step ahead of us, but maybe he can fill us in on how his workouts and challenges are going! Glad to have you with us, Samerk!!
I'll be doing the videos, but also hitting the gym when I can. Time is so limited, it seems, at least we will be doing SOMETHING... even if it is just 10 minutes out of the day!

Thanks for joining me! I did lose about ten pounds over the summer, but I'm ready to start hitting things hard again. How about you?
I figured that I would just start on Day one of this bootcamp and see where it takes me! I'm also hoping that the vets of the group will chime in and offer advice on the challenges of the day and all that great stuff!!
