I like to run, swim and take/teach classes at our local YMCA.

I do a lot of walking during the week on my breaks at work, on weekends I do gardening, mowing lawn, and the cleaning. In the winter we go to AZ so I like to hike in the mountains when I can down there.
I enjoy getting outside to do what I can while the weather is great. I use a treadmill inside on bad days.

Dear Lord
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway.
The good fortune to run into the ones that I do and the eyesight to tell the difference.

I still do the bootcamp videos but lately because of being diagnosed with PAD my son and I go walking around the area with live in so I can keep my legs exercised plus get my cardio done. I also like to do the tread machine 3 times a week at the YMCA gym.

It would be cool to get a running list of creative cardio workouts, especially since we're supposed to be doing it five days a week. What do you like to do for your cardio? What would you like to get into? What do you do that's kind of out of the ordinary?

I love biking. I live in a really bike friendly city with plenty of exclusive bike paths. I live about a mile and a half from the grocery store, so when I only have to pick up a few things, it's an easy way to get 20 minutes of cardio in.

Mowing the lawn. Leave the grass to grow a few weeks, and I've got a good half hour to an hour of sweating to the grass seed.

Videos. I can't just fix up a workout routine and do it. I like having someone to follow, and I especially like when they're set to music. I just found the Exercise TV channel on Comcast On Demand. Today I did a "Dorm Room Workout" for 35 minutes, and whew, it was killer. If anyone has any suggestions for online workout or dance videos, I like variety :)

I just started doing yoga. I know it's not really high impact cardio, but I can still log it, so it's on the list. I'm trying to build a bookmarks list of routines. I find it really relaxing when someone tells you when to breathe.

I used to run cross country in junior high, but haven't done distance running in probably 10 years. I'd really like to do a 5k this year, so I've started running once a week. My lungs give out before the rest of my body does.

Ok, you go.
