smaller meals are supposed to be better for you. As long as you are staying within the allotted calories for reaching your goals you should be ok. I tend to snack a lot also but have noticed my actual meals are much smaller than they used to be.

Sounds good to me! I usually only eat one full meal a day - and it's usually dinner, because that's when the whole family is at home and we sit down together.

So i snack alot too. I try to eat a big breakfast but it doesn't work, so i have cereal or toast and then a little bit later on i eat yoghurt or fruit and the snacking continues from there.

thanks everyone ! i ll definitely keep you guys posted !

i find that when i eat meals through the day my stomach feels stuffed, even though im not over feeding myself. and when i snack through out the day i dont get the bloated feeling. i also just came across these tips for grazing too...

Hi all. it is so good to see this subject being discussed. I am an avid snacker, not necessarily because I am hungry but more because I always want something in my mouth. ( I have often thought about getting a soother, but that would look ridiculous at 38.lol) At present, my weight is going in the wrong direction, but I'm glad to see the encouraging words and suggestions on this discussion. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I think if you feel like you want to snack instead of eating a meal, that's ok, however, make sure you get in protein...it sounds like you are eating some good arbs, but you need to add more protein in.

I would think so. Low fat or low cal. I follow the low carb that's what work for me. I like protein shakes and cottage cheese. emoticon

Yeah, I had a personal trainer tell me to eat 5 to 6 times a day like: breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, and evening snack.

I have heard of some "diets" that recommend you eat 5 or 6 small meals a day which to me is like snacking. I eat a bowl of cereal, have a piece of fruit later, a sandwich after a bit, another piece of fruit with cheese or yogurt then salad for supper. So far it has worked for me. Some people say that you should eat every 3 or 4 hours which is like snacking. I am no dietitian but that is what I have heard.

Snacking on healthy foods is a good thing but are you checking to be sure you get the protein, fats, etc. that your body needs? I like to snack but I eat my meals. I don't get stuffed for I try to listen to my body and also watch portions.

Through God anything is possible. Thank you, Lord, for helping me and all the ones who need your help.

i think as long as you are getting all your needed nutrients in and staying within your calorie allowance and exercising you can lose weight while snacking all day.

I can do this!!

i was wondering if you can lose weight by snacking all day ? i noticed that i would rather snack on healthy snacks all day then eat actual meals...im usually snacking on carrots w/hummus or tzatziki, apples, fruit salads(made at home) bananas, yogurt, whole grain crackers w/peanut butter and smart pop popcorn and 50 calorie all fruit ice pops.i also eat fiber one bars and cereals, and lots of water.

anyone else do the same thing ? i just feel better snacking on healthy foods through out the day then sit down and eat a whole meal and feel stuffed.

any comments or suggestions would be appreciated !
