Very powerful. This is a strategy that I've used since I first started my journey--/ catch yourself the moment you see your hand reaching for the cookie, the candy, whatever. Takes practice, but it works!

but only after you have a healthy sensible item first and then wait 15 minutes.

That is the advice in The Campbell Plan. That may be just what I need to do to tame my sweet tooth for that junk I have been eating.

Instead of a candy bar, I'll choose a piece of fruit first. The idea behind this advice is that you won't want to eat the junk after the 15 minutes is up or if you do eat, it won't taste as good as you were hoping.

I can see how that will be true because I no longer eat many candy bars that I used to binge on. They taste horrible now and I figure it is not worth the sugar and fat for something that tastes so bad.
