I have many challenges in this process (water intake - bad to nonexistent; some bad food choices to go with all my fruits & veggies) HOWEVER, I LOVE my exercise time! Favorites:
Hiking in the great Northwest
Biking in the great Northwest
Walking my buddy, Jazzie
My default routine is Spin class Sunday & Wednesday; Kick class on Tues & Thurs; Weight train Friday & Saturday (not ideal to go back to back...but that's how it works out.

I really want to do Yoga though...future goal.

Here lately all my excercise has been in the garden, and the weekly martial arts class. I feel like I've been getting plenty of muscle workout, but I need to get back to the dumbbells/bowflex.

Do not try and think outside the box. Instead, only try to realize the truth. There is no box.

I strength train twice a week, 1 day upper, 1 day lower (I realize it's minimal but am trying not to get too muscular which is my tendency). I run 5-6 days a week alternating between intervals (fast and slow pace is rotated) and tempo runs (faster pace), and slow or easy runs. My distance running can be anywhere from 2 miles to 8 miles which depends on how much time and energy I have. I walk during my lunch breaks at work (25-55 minutes), and I sometimes walk with a friend like I did today for 8 miles. I run and walk outside because it's more motivating to me but I have a treadmill which I use if the weather is bad.

When I am home I have been walking daily for at least a mile.
Making friends with my umbrella when it rains.
Yoga practice daily.
Strength training every other day.

We put the gym membership on hold for the summer as we are more active camping, canoeing, biking and hiking.

I love summer.
I love the outdoors!

Well, here's what I'm supposed to be doing - cardio 30 minutes every other day (I do an elliptical machine at home) and weight training every other day. Most days I take a couple of walks at work just for a little extra. I'm not yet as consistent as I need to be, though.

Hi, EMILY!

Go to the thread "Be Fit, Strong & Sexy" Gym, under our team's Challenge Forum. That's where you'll find the answers you're looking for. I do dance, circuit training, pilates, walking and strength training. We have people training for marathons and all kinds of good stuff, and we enjoy sharing it all in our virtual team gym. See you there.

Of course none of us lift giant trees, like you do.

Hey All,

just wonder what you all doing for exercise? Do you have a routine or mix it up? Whats you favorite workout?

I take a 35 mins yoga class and a 50 min pilates class 4 days a week. On Saturday I ride my bike 20 - 30 miles and on sundays i go for a hike.

I would like to try and get 1 or 2 more shorter rides in during the week to get more cardio.
