I am seeing my diabetes specialist tomorrow (thursday) and he also sees me for my vertigo. I am going to ask him for more advice and will let everyone know what he says.
have a great day!

I have noticed my vertigo is worse with the weather cycles. I was pretty unsteady today when I got up and come to think of it, I haven't been drinking my water like I should. We are supposed to be getting more snow tonight so that could be part of it.

I have been watching my sodium since I first learned this was a factor when I joined this group.

It really helps me to stay up once I'm up because if I lay back down I just feel worse. The exercises really help me a lot.

Hang in there everyone and if anyone has something new please share it.

good morning everyone! Hope you are all doing well!
thank you all so much for the helpful information! I have taken gravol (I prefer the naturals ginger type myself) when feeling nauseous. it helps a bit. I do drink lots of water (min 8-10 a day) and fairly careful with the sodium (I don't add salt or cook with it).
Does anyone get massive headaches/tension when having an "episode"?

Yes, changes in air pressure definitely influence vertigo and dizziness for me. Also, with winter and its corresponding indoor dryness, staying hydrated is essential. Watch your salt intake as too much can lead to challenges for some. All of the above definitely affect my situation - being careful of them has helped in keeping things somewhat under control. Oh - also - too much caffeine also can lead to a worsened condition.

Hugs all around! So sorry you all are in the spins! It wouldn't surprise me at all though with this weather. Hang in there! (literally!)

I'm so sorry everyone isn't feeling well. I believe it can be the weather. Just take it slow. Have you tried taking motion sickness pills?

Hi everyone!
not sure where you all are from but this week my vertigo reared its ugly head again. We have had some interesting weather so I was wondering if the air pressure etc plays a factor. I've only been experiencing vertigo for a year now and unsure of why I got this and what causes it to flair up.

So unbelievably dizzy today. There was so much I wanted to get done today because hubby is off of work today. I got up and was like uhmm nope and laid back down. Ughhh

We are supposed to get a snow storm tommorrow so my bet is that I will be getting another migraine and am thinking maybe that is causing the dizziness. Gotta love migraines -- not ughhh.
