Since joining I have not lost very much weight (I partially blame it on the fact that I have thyroid problems and take daily meds for that). However, I have changed my eating habits, and I am walking almost every morning before going to work. As a result, I do have more energy and feel better. I am sure if I stick with it the weight will slowly come off. I just have to work harder due to suffering from hypothyroidism.

I don't check in here that often, but I do get the weekly digest emails and saw this topic and thought I would chime in. Congrats to everyone who is still around and for all the progress you've made so far. I have lost 60 lbs since I started loosing weight June 24th, and about 30 lbs since joining SP about 2 months later.

Regina! Keep your head up! Stick in there, it will get better! Don't think you are alone because there is a whole family here that will support you on your path to loose weight. I am barely beginning and before I started, I took 1 step back but now I have taken a few steps ahead. I actually feel better now that I am back and stronger than ever.

If you need someone to talk to while you get yourself back on track, you are more than welcome to email me.

Overall, I've been doing well. I marvel that I've continued to be motivated, and kept up on my commitment to myself for almost 3 months now.

When I think back to when I started, I had no real exercise in my life. No active cardio or strength oriented activity. I've now incorporated both into my weekly routine. Also, I've made healthy choices the center of my meal plan, and it's paying off. I'm close to hitting my goal, and the excitement is building.

Hats off to those of you that have helped along the way - SparkPeople who have stuck around, continued your commitment to a healthy lifestyle, and actively supported one another. I am very grateful.

Help!!!! Have had a family emergency involving my m-i-l, spent a week or so out of town trying to care for her. She's still not well but is stable. When we got home, we were both gun ho and ready to get back into the grind. Then we both, one at a time, catch some kind of flu bug. So long story short I have been struggling trying to get back into some kind of routine. Does anyone have any suggestions or motivation to help me get back into gear? Thanks, Regina

Hello all! I joined back in August but fell off the wagon due to stress with marriage and other things. I came back because this past weekend my son had a baseball tournament and I found myself gasping for air by the time I walked from one side of the parking lot to the other. It was ridiculous and I decided, THIS IS IT!! I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS WEIGHT!! But I need some moral support and I have found it here years ago. So I am back and hopefully, cross your fingers, pray for me, that I will stay and just become healthier for my kids.

Well I have only lost five pounds but I have found great ways to exercise with my wheelchair. That was a huge challenge for me, so I am very happy about that. My attitude has improved immensely and I have started tracking my food every day. So progress is slow but sure. Thanks to all of you and your support.

Hi all, Since I started Iv lost 10 lbs. Had a few medical setbacks (med.s were working against me). They kept me on a plateau for a while, but think i'm on a roll again. Hope everyone is making progress. PJ

I joined SP the end of August, but spent about a month just looking around the site before I decided if I really wanted to lose anymore weight or if I wanted to just maintain where I was. I had lost from 237 to 195 with Weight Watchers over the last 1 1/2 years. I didn't decide that I wanted to lose more weight until around the 18th of Sept., so I am very happy with my progress so far.

I just realized that since joining SP, I'm doing better than I thought. I was going to reply and say I've lost about 10 pounds or so since joining (and I'm *still* not sure if I want to lose or maintain)... but...

... The goal SP creates for us when we join (which states "go from xxx to yyy by mm/dd/yy") seemed to indicate that I was 214 when I joined, and not the 201-202 I had in my head. And still being at 191 today, I guess I've lost 23 pounds since coming here.

Wow. This place really does help!! :-)

I am so happy to see so many of us are still here working on ourselves. I am so proud of each of us for finally following thru with doing something for ourselves. Congratulations to all of us! I feel a special bond to those who began this journey with me. Keep it up. You ARE worth it!
