Hello to all....I find it really hard to keep on track. I travel for my job, but this quarter I am able to work from home (computer) for a good bit, which I am thankful. But when I'm in IL, I cook for my family like I always have and eat with them. When I'm on the road I eat salads mostly, and when I'm at the my refuge cabin in TN I eat vegetarian (fresh veggies). I fluxuate between 158 to 165 and I hate gaining those pounds. Holidays are coming up (I'm not a lover of the holidays due to the comercialization and having to buy gifts that aren't really needed for family members). I know it is a mind set. I know I have to go back to the way I ate when I lost 45 pounds 4 years ago. One helping on a salad plate (didn't matter what the content was), no sweets, no bread, no soda. I think post menapause, and having high blood pressure has something to do with (as well as just getting older)not being able to lose the weight like I once did. Getting old, just sucks, doesn't it! emoticon

Trudi, so glad your DH is doing well. I have been trying to get my DH to join and he does have a page, just doesn't use it. It is ok though...it is his choice to make and I can't force him to do it. It does make things a bit harder for me, but it is a good test of will ;). You are doing great! Keep it up!

Trudi, glad to hear your DH is doing well after his heart attack and stent placement. Nice that he's doing the Sparks Journey with you. My DH needs to be doing it with me, and does sort of, even though he doesn't know it. Will keep you and your DH in my thoughts.

Trudi, Welcome back on board... You're note hit home when you talked about how you're DH is on a Sparks Journey with you. Same here. My husband has been loosing weight, and changing some of his eating habits right along with me. That's a good thing. My DH could afford to embrace a healthier life style. It's portion control for him, and mid-day snacking. (But, lord help you, if you point it out.) Over the past couple month or two, he's seen the difference it's made for both of us. I can see where he's making a concerted effort...doesn't eat dessert every night, doesn't eat the bread they bring you at restaurants, looks for healthy alternatives, and eats a lot of salads or grilled veggies with me.

Looks like your supporting your husband in more ways than you know (or he knows)....Wishing you well as you and your DH continue your Sparks Journey together.

I'm so glad to hear your DH is doing well after his health scare...he is so lucky to have you 'watching' over him and helping him even if he isn't aware of it!!

I hit a big bump in the road, and hope that I can get back on track now. I didn't fall too far, just enough to be concerned.

Three weeks ago my DH had a heartattack, although relatively a mild one, he still had to have a stint put into an artery. He is back at work and seems to be taking it easier and not trying to move all the mountains in one day. LOL!
I am so fortunate that he is so easy to please at meal time, he is actually on the Spark Journey with me and does not even realize it. This morning he commented that his pants were getting loose and he didn't know why.

During all of this my weight has not moved up OR down, which is good. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I am back on board.

Trudi emoticon
