My Dr. Set my goals for me. I thought he was unrealistic at first, but now I'm thinking I just might make it. Maybe not a soon as wanted, but with the support I found hear and faith I believe I can do it.--PJ

great suggestions everyone.
I really do appreciate all of the advice. I think that I am on my way to setting some goals for myself, some very much needed goals I might add.
I did do the chart at the first when we set up and to help you achieve your goals.
Thanks again.

BTW what are some of your goals and how did you arrive at them?

I had the same question when I first started too- I didn't know what I should be looking it. I found a chart and found my healthy BMI which gave me a weight zone. I know, for myself, that when I'm thinner I don't look like I weigh as much as I do so I made my goal the higher range in pounds. Google - find my ideal weight- you'll come up with tons of tools to help. Everyone's body is different tho- I think you should go with how you feel about yourself to know when you've reached that perfect weight

Personally I set my goal by remembering what weight I was when I felt good about myself, then adding some for body changes. The main thing is looking at the BMI scale to make sure that you set a goal that will eventually put you into the healthy or "normal" range.

As far as calorie goals and weight loss etc when you sign up and under each category nutrition/fitness etc you can set those goals and see if they are realistic and Spark does the work for you.

As for other goals:
Reflection is key.
Deciding what do you want for yourself.
I know what weight I was comfortable at - I accounted for age and came up with a goal weight I want that I think is both realistic and will please me.
As for other things - health and life goals are personal. What do you think you will benefit from?

Health is just so important to take forgranted and I found that I did not make it a priority.
Now I am. That is my goal.

Hope this helps.

~Me

Not a silly question at all! I think that most people set their weight loss goals on their own, although there is a tool that you can use to do that. It will be in one of the diet stages that you work through (I want to say it is in Stage 2).

This is maybe a crazy question but this is the only place that I feel comfortable asking.
OK here goes and please don't laugh just love emoticon I really don't know...

I have been reading some very good SparkPages and some of these people seem to have their "stuff" together! I mean goals set out the wazooooooo!
Yes some are wieght loss and some are not.
My question is did they just set their weight loss goals on their own, or is there something somehwere that I missed or haven't seen yet to help me my goals or to help me understand what it is that I really need to do and how to get in touch with my self and my skinny self?

sorry if this seems silly
thanks for helping my out

PS any suggestions on how you have reached your decisions about your goals and what are your goals?
