Waited to reply until I lost a bit more - and then I gained 10 pounds in one week! It's an ongoing learning experience. So far I've lost about 25 pounds. I thought I would have lost more, but I am very proud of myself for what I have lost. It is so much harder than I expected, but I feel so much stronger and healthier. One of the best parts of this site is that even when I'm discouraged, I can get the support I need. It's not easy for anyone, and so many are standing by to offer their advice. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm so proud of everyone doing so well! This is such a great bunch of folks. I'm the one, however, that's bringing up the rear. I finally moved my meter back to 205 today. *sigh* Not proud of that one. My metabolism is a real issue. I'm doing what I can; dental surgery and a torn rotator cuff and torn meniscus make moving and lifting weights a problem. I'm doing a lot of painful stretching to regain movement, but haven't been able to be as active. I hate the way I look at this weight. It's kinda depressing, rather than motivating. Oh well.

Good News: I just got the green light this week to start lifting light weights again, so I'll be back in the gym soon. I'm hoping to get the green light next week on cardio movement, but won't be sure until I see the doctor next week.

I'd planned to push things up a notch on my weight loss in 2009. Instead I've backtracked. I hope to be catching up soon! emoticon

The most important thing is that YOU notice. Having other people notice is nice for sure, but the main thing is that you are aware of your victories. I am really happy for you. Keep up the great work.

Thank you. I have had a few people remark about the weight I lost. But I have so much to lose that most people don't notice.

What a good day for me to check in with this team.

I only had a little bit of weight to lose when I signed on to spark 9 months ago, 10-15 lbs.

I lost 5 lbs. in the first two months (141-136) and maintained for 4 months (including the Holidays, go Me!)

The beginning of the year, I cruised through Jan, picking up steam on my workouts and getting the hang of eating very, very clean. Mid January (16th to be exact) started a push and have lost 4 more lbs.

Really happy with these results, as I've maintained my muscles mass (which weights more than fat) while continuing to lose weight. My Body Fat Percentage has gone down which is even greater acheivement.

Have one more month in this push, and will be down to 128 by March 29th.

We are all made of stars, some just shine brighter.

Sweat is your fat, crying! :)

My biggest accomplishment is losing 47 lbs and writing everything I eat. I've done it so long that I feel like I need to do it.

I wouldn't say you are "stuck" with the new lifestyle. It sounds like you don't want it. Regardless of the weight that I have shed, I have been so happy with the lifestyle changes I have made.

What has been your biggest accomplishment(s) so far?

Has it really been nine months?? I Think I am into the healthy eating mode. I just naturally reach for the healthier food without thinking about it any more. While I have lost pounds and inches (because my clothes tell me so), I seem to be at a standstill, so I am going to take the advice and change my exercise and eating plans. My body has become accustomed to what I am doing and it is satisfied and won't drop the weight right now. But by no means will I give up and fall back into the old habits again (been there, done that and it is not where I want to be). I am stuck with my new lifestyle for life wheather I see the weight dropping fast or more slowly. emoticon

I am creeping and it gets discouraging. I remind my self I am still moving in the right direction stay the coarse. I look at the tracker and know I am making it happen.

Once you get used the workout and it feels like you are sliding it definitely means that you need to change the work.

The great thing is that you are working out so now it's about adding different exercises or weights.

I kind of feel like I am sliding through - I am used to what I have been doing and it's not helping like it did. I think I need to step up on the exercise portion.

First I want to congratulate you all the weight you have lost - that is fantastic emoticon emoticon emoticon

When I lost my first 20 pounds, I hit a plateau. My body had become accustomed to my new eating and workout habits so I didn't lose anymore weight. I had to change my workout again to accomodate for my new weight.

Have you changed your workouts or diet?

I am very frustrated because, although I have lost a total of 46 lbs, I have not lost anything for the last month and a half. Spark has been keeping in the game though. If not for Spark, I would have gained some of the weight back.
