I started October at 198.5 and ended at 195. 3.5 pounds down. Good - but I was hoping for more. My goal is to lose 5 pounds in November. I usually hate "advertising" but that's due to a fear of failure. This may help me stay on track. Good luck to us all! emoticon

I started the month at 231.8
I'm at 229.2 now, so I'm down 2 for the month, 29 since I started Sparks, 43 pounds total!

So I'm back. Summer was something else and I just kept putting on the pounds. Then last week I saw a picture of myself that somebody posted on their blog.
First I cried then I decided I'd better get back to work and do something about it.
Last week I was 210. Today I'm at 206.
Planning my food is really the key but it's something I wish i didn't have to do. If I don;t do it I will end up heavier and possibly with some health problems so here I go again.

Karen, I can so identify with you right now. While I have not gone over that cliff, I feel like I have been flirting with the edges for some time now.

My weight hasn't been moving like it was, I'm stressing quite a bit about work and if I will keep my job (I work in a bank) and have had many, many issues with the adolescent girls and DH lately and I'm often at the point where I want to smoke a pack of cigarettes while eating 3 BIG bags of tortilla chips.

I keep trying to remind myself not to throw away the progress I have made (especially with smoking), but it really is a struggle to trust myself.

Hang in there Karen, you really do have a great attitude and I fully believe you will get back to taking care of yourself.

KAS - good for you to keep going!!!....The good thing is usually when you gain 3 lbs quickly it is easier to take it off. On the positive side you are still in 100-ville and it sounds like you are doing everything you need to do to get back on track....

I am SO angry with myself. I have a lot going on in my personal life (and who doesn't)... and have just walked right off the cliff into chocolate cream pie - and waffles for gosh sakes at 10:00 p.m. at night!!!

I have put on three pounds in the last two weeks and have gone up from 194 to 197!

In the serenity prayer it says "God grant me the serenety to accept the things I cannot change" (I am making a list!!!!)

Courage to change the things I can (my eating, my exercise, my response to all those things on the list avove)

And the Wisdom to know the difference

emoticon Finally, I got up enough nerve to step on my scale this morning (10-22-08) and 3 Whole Pounds are gone after a long dry period!

Original Goal was to loose 25 pounds, I've since revised that to 30 Lbs and again to 40 LBs.

It took a while before I started losing weight but I really think I am on my way now. In fact I believe that the weight loss you see is from the month of September. July and August were a struggle for me.
