I was able to wear a skirt with quite a bit of room left over in the waist. I don't understand it because when I use the tape to measure my waist nothing ever changes, but yet I can tell a big difference in my clothes. What's going on here? Mind you, I am not complaining because I know I am losing even if the tape measure does not agree. emoticon

My little victory today is that on my 3 mile walk I ran every 5th minute, changing my time from 18 minute miles to 15 1/2 minute miles! emoticon

WOW look at how well we are doing. Weight Loss! Walking (I love my pedometer) Great Food Choices - Quitting Smoking (that's a HUGE victory). We have such a great team!!!

I've been doing pretty well at keeping in my calorie range and making healthy eating choices. I've been avoiding soda for the most part and drinking lots of water. I also bought a pedometer and have been watching my steps every day. I strive for 10,000 steps, but since my job usually keeps me at my desk, I can usually get 5000 steps by the end of the day and I have to go for a walk in the evening to reach 10,000 steps. That's usually dependent on the weather and if I'm home in the evening or not.

I haven't bought Oreos in 2 weeks that is a huge victory. Just like quitting smoking. The choice to not buy is a major for me. You know what I am OK. Its getting better.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance. Remember Dance like no one is watching!!

OK... so this falls in the tooting my own horn category... All relatively simple things... but for me all victories.

It is getting HARD to work out now that I am back to work (special ed teacher). Getting home at 5:00 p.m. I was beat... after really considering not exercising... I turned on the metronome (keeps my stepping consistant) and did 20 minutes of step aerobics.

I have ignored the ice cream in the freezer, and ate within my calorie range.

These are what I am "supposed" to be doing... but tonight when I was tired and wanted to whine... they are victories.

Toot Your Horn... What victories can you claim today?
