Kali, how did shower day go?

I'm glad I have a kid that is a wait and see the type. But I really do understand the need for kids to go back to class, especially for working parents.

Feline, holding steady isn't a bad thing. You'll get there. Miss B was 2 when I started really losing the baby weight.

I'm sorry about the family reunion.

I got confirmation last night that we start the digital academy. I've been told about 1/5th of the students in our area will start the year virtually.

Today will be quiet again. Jim told me to wait on the shopping until tomorrow so he can help with my heavy lifting.

Kali: I lost about 6 inches off my waist in 2-3 months last time I was waist training. I am not going for anything extreme like some of the ladies, I was a 24 before and my goal was 22 or MAYBE 20. I'm a 34 now and I'd love to get back down to where I was before after I have this next baby.

I lost 1lb last week and was so happy, but this week I am back up 1lb. So I am still maintaining with my intermittent fasting and calorie tracking but without any consistent exercise I'm just not losing.

My family reunion was cancelled this year. I am going to have to call my grandma this weekend and see if she remembers how to do a video chat. She hasn't seen Little Man in so long!

Eva - love that your face unlocked Ms. B's phone. Like mother - like daughter!
The school issue is so difficult especially with the rising Covid death rate. There is so much we don't know about the disease and its aftermath. DH talked with his PT yesterday and she's sending her children back to school. (50% occupancy) Her concern is two-fold; socialization and work availability. I agree with Ms B - it is a mess. I can't wait for the weather to cool - 'temperatures' will too.

Shower day followed by a massage for DH. Our first in-apartment attempt was a disaster, so we're going to the studio (therapist's home). We'll be able to see if the mobile table's head rest will work (Parkinson's pronation). If it does, we can try the mobile table here in the living room with shades drawn and door locked (plus do not disturb sign on the door).

We shall see... stay safe and healthy!

Feline, I'm sorry about the credit card issue. I wonder how many people they failed to inform of the changes?

Kali, bless it. Poor DH. I hope he can have the hernia removed and he heals quickly. At least it's something fairly "routine." Although I say it may be routine for them to do the procedure, however, it is not routine for me to have it!

My hometown was on the world news this week. The first school in the United States to reopen. It's a good look at what many schools will look like. Miss B saw the video. She's informed me she plans at the moment to stay home all year. She said, "This is going to be a mess." The child is not wrong.

So we will begin our adventure!

The school board did push back the start date to August 17th, but they left the mask mandate in place. In order to push that date back, they took 3 days of Fall break. The numbers here are not falling like they hope so I figure we lost 3 days break for nothing. I bet we still open on an A/B schedule. I do know the director of schools is nervous about opening and he's really pushing the virtual academy.

Last night Miss B and I were waiting for dark to try and see the front end of the meteor shower before the clouds rolled in. She picked her phone up to check the time. She has hers set for facial recognition. My face unlocked her phone! I told her I'd take that as a compliment that I look young and vibrant at 40! emoticon

Eva: Happy belated birthday! Butterflies are also my second favorite, with cats running a high first. I'm glad Miss B is staying home. I think any student who can should, it's scary out there right now.

Little Man was very happy to go downstairs. A bath, snack, and being set free among his toys reset his attitude very well. Yesterday I was feeling a little under the weather and he seemed to have a tummyache so we stayed downstairs all day. We're upstairs today and he's yelling and racing around the hallway.

DH didn't feel like going grocery shopping until last night so we had pizza Sunday night and McDonald's last night. I am feeling the bloat. Tonight is Crack Chicken, though, and the rest of the week is: Cheeseburger Mac Attack, Asian Meatballs, Eggplant Parmesan, Pork Chops, and Creamed Chipped Beef.

Last week one of my credit cards disappeared. We tried to make a payment and couldn't. Our online account showed no record of the card, the automatic phone payment option couldn't find the card, the number for the card service was disconnected, and my credit report showed it as paid off with nothing reported in collections to indicate the debt was sold. I called my credit union and was told they sold all their credit cards to a third party in May and stopped taking payments for it after June. We never received the notice or new cards. My credit union sent me to the new company, who has quadrupled our monthly payment so we "missed" last months payment by underpaying and they sent it to collections for being underpaid after 30 days. They won't give me account information or issue new cards until I've paid over $500 to collections.

On the more positive side, a few months before I conceived Little Man I'd begun waist training with steel boned corsets. I lost a bunch of inches off my waist but had to quit after I got pregnant. I made a post in my corset group on Facebook and apparently it's not uncommon to get pregnant after beginning corseting. So I talked to DH and he agreed I could order a new corset this weekend. I got myself resized and I am curvier in the hips since giving birth and need a larger corset so can't wear my old ones, plus the old ones are satin so they're not exactly stain resistant emoticon

Kali, you've been so busy that you deserved a little downtime. I do know DH needs the exercise. Maybe if you go he'll get the notion to join you. I hope his lump was nothing serious.

Yesterday Miss B cleaned and organized a bookcase. She has a shelf dedicated to school work now. I think if she creates the space herself it feels more "right" than if I do it for her. I don't know. I just know she's 12 and knows what will work best for her.

I cleaned the house and maneuvered the sofa and rug to better accommodate my yoga mat. Specifically the rug. The texture feels weird under a mat. We are making our spaces work for us!

The DNA kit has arrived at Wisdom panel. I'm anxiously waiting the processing period! emoticon

Eva - what a wonderful emoticon
I love the cake and your gifts sound perfect. I'm excited about your ceiling fan. One thing I miss is the outdoors. Looking so forward to opening the windows once the humidity lessens.
Hope your new mattress = emoticon and good to be prepared for home schooling. One never knows where this pandemic is going...

The weekend was very relaxing - no exercise (I may just need to go down by myself).
Busy start to this week - shower, followed by emoticon visit, (DH found a lump that we want examined), followed by an OT session, followed by lymphedema treatment. Tomorrow we start with haircuts and exercise.

All is GOOD in NE - stay safe and healthy.

Kali, how was your weekend?

I had a wonderful birthday! My group knows me well!! My birthday dinner was fun. My mother got me PJs with pockets! My husband got me exercise pants (and shirts) with pockets! Plus my favorite Burt's Bees lotions and potions. My kiddo made me 2 paintings and bought me a HUGE cup with a beautiful butterfly on it. Then my stepdad brought me 2 Fenton butterflies to add to my collection. The only thing I like more than a cat is a butterfly. I got tickled when I thanked him. He was petting Gypsy with Daisy on his lap. He just said "Mkay" not okay but "mkay". The rhythm of petting dogs had almost put him to sleep. Miss B and I just lost it. Mother almost got annoyed. I don't know why.

I got a beautiful card all the way from Washington and my mom friend, Teri came by. It was a wonderful day.

Miss B. took care of my cake.

Yesterday Jim put a ceiling fan on my front porch so I can enjoy sitting on my swing and the fan will help move the air.

I'm looking at ordering a spring coil hybrid mattress for each bed. Miss B's mattress is 10 years old and mine is 16. both have hit their lifespan. The one I'm looking at is similar to this one and will work with my existing foundations. www.amazon.com/Zinus-Gel-Infused-Mem
or
y-Hybrid-Mattress/dp/B072JV5JZ6?ref_R>=fsclp_pl_dp_1
Our anniversary (August 20th) present may be a better nights sleep!

Today I'm cleaning the house and then Miss B and I are looking at cleaning and clearing shelf space in her "playroom" and the kitchen (my) desk. Between us, I figure I'll be homeschooling all year, so we have to accommodate supplies and such. I won't tell her I expect her not to go back at all this school year, but I need to be physically and mentally prepared for that to happen. And if COVID hasn't gone anywhere, the gap has given the teachers an entire year to "figure it out." And it gives me a year of adventure with my young lady. i found out from another parent with a child in her grade, she feels the same way. She doing something similar for her son.

Feline, did little man settle down?

Sometimes kids have a slight speech delay. I have a cousin who didn't say a word until he was 3. Just keep saying what an item is before you hand it to him and make sure he sees your mouth.

Little man is having a whiny morning. He only wanted bananas for breakfast and wouldn't eat his waffle. He was clearly referring to them as "nana" though, which made me happy since he's not saying many words and it's making me nervous. We're upstairs working right now but he's very whiny, having bouts of crying, and begging for attention. I think I will have to call it an early day and head downstairs for a bath and a snack.

Lunch is going to be leftover stuffed peppers, which DH declared the best thing I've made so far. Dinner tonight is sausage and hashbrown casserole.

Feline, now I need breakfast. I know for yourself you are focused on weight and that's great, but for DH (I do this for Jimmy) just focus on the fact he's willing to eat "Not Junk."

We had "southern food" last night. Purple hull peas, cornbread, cream corn, garden tomatoes, okra, and baked chicken. Miss B filled up on veggies. Her chicken is still in the fridge! I don't mind at all.

Kali, I can see your workout room being mostly legs and core. If a person is in a manual wheelchair that they maneuver themselves that's a workout on its own. Are you a client of the PT there as well?

You had a busy quarantine!

I'm going to say I'm proud of Miss B. She showed a level of maturity last night that is rare in a 12-year-old. At dinner, she asked to sign up for the virtual academy for the first 9 weeks with a re-evaluation in October. The school's mask requirement did not phase her, but we were told by the principal yesterday to expect the announcement of a Level 2 opening with and A/B schedule and a random selection of kids for Fridays. You would have a 1-week notice that your child is to attend on Friday. So last night, with all that information in hand, knowing about 1/3 of the teachers in the county are at the beach or the mountains this week, plus what she sees on the news, she asked to stay home. She said she figures the school is at a Level 1 in a couple of weeks and she would just rather start off at home rather than make the quick adjustment as we did in March. She knows we are prepared with both a dedicated learning space and supplies. I told her we would stay home all schoolyear as a virtual student if that's what she is comfortable with. I signed her up right after I washed the dishes for the first 9 weeks. I should get information from the school in the next week for the parents' end of it. Her new start date is August 10th. I'm not going to lie. I'm kinda relieved. Homeschool I can do with the correct tools. I've got this!

Yesterday Miss B and Mom took off for a couple of hours. They came back with flowers and a tube of lavender lotion. I'm being spoiled for my birthday week!

Eva - can't wait to hear what the DNA test says and good for you for protecting your family. I still can't fathom what some people are thinking... Although to be fair, DH suffered his heart attack March 24, we put the house up for sale April 1, he came home April 15 (and back in as the house was unsafe) and we moved into moving mode. Hard to believe it's been 4 months and I'm sure folks are more than tired.
Glad you rescued that bunny!
Feline - emoticon on staying in calorie range and emoticon your posts make me hungry! So glad you have a partner in your weight loss journey.

The fitness room equipment is fairly limited and mainly focused on legs, but we signed up for a stretch and tone class 2x/wk. PT suggested we used the NuStep every other day, so that will be added to the regimen as well.

Pulled pork was a big hit last night! We had baked beans, corn, and a roll with it and Little Man ate everything (except his roll)! Tonight is stuffed peppers. Turns out my slow cooker is not big enough for all the peppers the recipe calls for, so I have an extra pepper and stuffing hanging around. I forgot to get Spanish Rice at the store to go with the peppers so I am going to root around the cabinets and see if I have taco seasoning to make some of my own. If not we'll probably just have bread and butter.

I'm debating on lunch today. Leftover chili with cheese and poached eggs? Fried eggs with toast? A salad? Tuna with quinoa? Little Man hates tuna, but he'd probably be down for eggs and toast. I could also heat him some chicken, cut up some cheese, and add a side like applesauce.

I've stayed within my calorie range all week so far emoticon I've been struggling with my intake for awhile so I am super pleased. DH isn't trying to lose weight (and has poo pooed the idea of him trying) but has decided to support my trying, so that is helpful. I am weighing in once a week. I forgot last week, though my afternoon weigh-in at the doctor showed no weight loss, but if I remember tomorrow morning is my weigh day.

Kali, it sounds like the workout room is nice. Anything in particular that stands out now that you have explored a little?

Feline, yeah. Miss B wouldn't go either and she's 12. I won't let her go around family that's vacationed in a hotspot until they have been home a full 14 days. I'm not popular right now... Ask me how much I care about that.

Well, mother put the trip off until today. We woke up to thunderstorms, so it may not happen. I don't know. It is what it is. I'm going with the flow. I think I'm giving Miss B a gift from me. She can sleep in. This is sleeping weather to be sure.

Yesterday I helped Mr. Charlie pick peas. Then I shelled peas for 2 hours. He kept telling me I had too much to do and I kept telling him he had too many peas to pick. emoticon It was all good fun. Anyway, while we were out there we hear "SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE!" His cat had found a rabbit's nest in the pea patch. Mr. Charlie put the cat up and I put the baby (she looks to have had just the one) back in the nest and made sure the pea plants hid the nest. Poor baby must be less than a week old. Its eyes aren't open and its ears are still flat to its head.

Then we DNA tested Gypsy. Results in 2 or 3 weeks from the date they receive it. The test will also tell me if she has any drug sensitivities. I did not get a complete health panel. I don't what to know what all she might never get sick with. She was not happy with Momma. I got side-eye until bedtime.

Eva: The chicken was good. We had it last week and I really liked it so I made it again this week. Tonight is BBQ pulled pork with baked beans and maybe some corn. For lunch I think I will have a salad today. Little Man isn't old enough for salad so I might make him a sandwich or maybe some deli meat with cheese and beets.

My in-laws sent us photos of them eating in a restaurant with a group of friends (nobody in masks, of course) and just left to go on vacation, flying to Idaho. My MIL likes to share those photos with us to convince us that it's safe to have Little Man visit since their friends are bringing their children to these maskless gatherings.

We put away the pack n play in our den, Little Man doesn't need it anymore and who knows how long it will be before we get #2. We were basically just using it as diaper and clothing storage so now I need to clear up that corner (so many things ended up under and behind it!) and Little Man will have some extra play space. It's the perfect spot for his future bean bag chair.

Little Man stole my mouse today and bit the roller. Now it has a chunk missing and doesn't roll very well. I am looking at replacements on Amazon - the one I like best wouldn't arrive for 2-3 weeks, unfortunately. But I do like some of the ones that could arrive tomorrow.

Kali, I'm so glad you can see a positive change in DH's feet!

When I would sit with Mr. Shane he took OT for eating. It definitely helped him. He did not have Parkinson's but he had a similar tremor. He had serious swallow issues from a stroke. She did wonders with him. I assisted a few times since I was his sitter. I could see real improvement before he passed.

Feline, Little Man is going to be a mover and a shaker when he gets just a little bigger!

How was the chicken? I made slow cooker salsa chicken last night and it was fantastic.

We tried the lanyards yesterday and they do work well! Particularly if you are stopping at a place that is doing dine in. We had Chicken Salad Chick. We had a cold lunch since the heat index was 103 yesterday. My granny would have said it was too hot to sin. Anyway, the manager still has seating at 50% so I felt comfortable enough going in and eating. www.chickensaladchick.com/

Miss B has 2 new pair of glasses coming. One is a simple blue wired frame. The other is a silver bottom rim with a purple cat eye at the top. It brings out the green in her eyes. Her prescription had not changed. We stopped in at Old Navy and picked up her 2 more of the Jersy Swing dresses they have. I bought her one for her birthday and she loves it. She has the black floral, the navy with the thin white stripe, and the black and white stripe. She can put a pair of capri leggings with them for school (dress code requires it) or when she's home just were them straight.

Today I pay bills and get to kinda hang out alone for the first time since March. Mom and Miss B. are going somewhere. I suspect Walmart to look at a birthday cake. They are threatening me with pink flamingos... emoticon

Spark has a pink cat head and no pink flamingo emoji. Weird.

For lunch today I am probably doing leftover chili with a poached egg on top. I don't know if Little Man will want that so he'll probably get something else. A hot dog maybe, with cheese and red peppers. Tonight's dinner is soynut butter chicken with rice. I'll have to get it started for the slow cooker when I make lunch.

Little Man has discovered he is strong enough to throw his walkers around. So now he's knocking them over and throwing them around on purpose so he can push them back upright or play with the wheels. It's a whole new world of crash bang fun!

I started putting some books away onto my shelves today and Little Man is amazed that they can be taken OUT of the boxes! I left one box in front of the door to keep it from being shut and locking Little Man in here with me, but he's over there pulling everything out of it right now. Monkey see, monkey do.

Feline - dinners sound emoticon and glad you're planning healthy lunches.
Sounds like Little Man is going to do better with brushing.

Eva - you continue to amaze me with your energy. Great mask lanyard - definitely necklace like. (I may have to try it too.) Super birthday t-shirt especially from a friend.

DH sees the therapist every Monday and there is definitely movement in the lymphedema. He has an appointment with an OT next Monday too to work on his hands and arms to help with eating. Keep your fingers crossed.

My poor CASA kid is headed to out of home placement unless she can change her behaviors. It appears to be a no-win environment as she will not listen to her mom and refuses to do what is necessary for her case to be dismissed. I'm hopeful to reach out to her virtually and see if I can offer any assistance.

Meeting with activities director @ 11:00 - orientation in the workout room and descriptions of available social options.

Kali, I hope the therapist was able to help DH. I imagine swelling in his feet greatly hamper his mobility.

How was your hearing?

I am often amazed by how inconsiderate people are. And I'm from the south. We are supposed to be the land of hospitality...

Why in the dickens are the governors trying to stop mayors from doing what is best for their county or city? We need leadership. Period. And it's proven we can't just trust all the people to do the right thing. Jackson has a $250 fine for not wearing your mask. You get a warning then after that, you get a fine. The fine doubles, as I understand it, for each citation.

Feline, Little Man might like the teeth brushing song. Barney got on my nerves for sure, but I used the lyrics to get us through brushing time. And it just so happens, the song is 2 minutes long.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDwdtT07Ub0

I have got to get our house back to eating better. Now that I'm not just making due with what is on the shelf at the grocery store I have no excuse...

I love the Twilight Zone! I really loved The Night Gallery. It was based on art from Rod Serling's own art collection. I think the art collection is why I loved the show to be honest.

Yesterday I cleaned the house, cut Mr. Charlie's hair, and shelled purple hull peas. I shelled peas for 2 hours.

I made Miss B. 3 mask lanyards last night. This one is a repurposed glasses lanyard that broke umpteen years ago. I kept it for the beads and never cut it apart. I just put claw clasps on it to attach to the ear loops. Now she won't have to worry about removing her mask at lunch on her assigned school days. She says when the mask hangs it feels much like a necklace.

.

My oldest friend, the one I've been best friends with for 34 years sent me a birthday t-shirt.

Today we are off to the eye doctor. Miss B. will get to select 2 new frames. I'm hoping they are in for pick up next week. I think while I'm dressed for leaving the house I may run her forms over to the school.

Eva: I've found he's more receptive to toothbrushing when I keep up the chatter while doing it. So I go "brush, brush, brush" in a sing-song while doing it and talk about which teeth we need to get clean. If I open my mouth and go "ahhhh" he tends to do the same so we're getting better. He loves having lotion put on so I've started doing that after brushing his teeth so he has something to look forward to.

I've got Pumpkin Red Lentil Chili cooking in the Crock Pot for tonight. Dinners the rest of this week: Vegetarian Chili Mac, Stuffed Peppers, Soynut Butter Chicken, BBQ Pulled Pork, and Smoked Sausage and Hashbrown Casserole. Little man very vocally approved of dinner last night (creamed chipped beef on buttered toast) so I've got the makings for that two more times just in case. I also went through my Instagram to look at past photos of my healthy lunches and added a nice long list of healthy ingredients for DH to pick up so I can get back on track with my lunchtime, too, instead of eating sandwiches or junk.

I started watching the Twilight Zone this weekend. You know it's old because in the first episode the main character was talking about getting breakfast for $2.85. I don't think you can even get coffee for $2.85 anymore.

Eva - here's to 4:45! We were 15 minutes behind you this morning. So glad you are 'back on schedule'.

I am amazed at the fear that propels mask discussion. I'd be interested to learn what folks think about not smoking in public. Perhaps there's more proof available? The 'personal responsibility' position is fine, but so is the (@ minimum) 'inconsiderate' adjective.
Masks have been mandated in Lincoln starting this morning and the governor is looking @ legal options to stop the mayor. I'm not sure about enforcement but as the focus is education, I have to assume the most police will do is hand out warnings.

Attending my juvenile hearing remotely this afternoon. I haven't contacted my CASA kid during the extended period, but hope to reestablish communication soon. Lymphedema PT later and hoping the therapist can start to reduce some of the swelling in DH's feet.
emoticon for the cooling pillow info. He's decided he's comfortable now. emoticon We shall see what tomorrow brings...

Stay safe and healthy!

Kali, I feel for DH. I'm glad he had a better night. Good luck with finding sheets. There are "cooling" pillows he might benefit from using.

www.health.com/sleep/cooling-pillows

Oh, the mask issue has gotten crazy. I'll save you from hearing the majority of the ridiculousness, but somehow wearing a mask so you don't accidentally spread germs leads to microchipping. emoticon I'm still trying to figure that one out. there's more but that's the one that made me actually shake my head. Sadly the people leading the charge are actually reasonably educated. One is an auditor for a local accounting firm, one is a former school teacher, and 2 are pharmaceutical sales reps. I know these people. Part of their children is in Miss B's grade. I've been a co-room mom with 2 of them. Our kids have been to each other's birthday parties. I think that's why I'm so surprised. Another set of parents actually use to be my neighbors. The rented Mr. Charlie's house for several years. I will admit their mask response does not surprise me as they signed" covid death waivers" for their kids to compete in summer sports practices and camps.

I will admit that as soon as I'm at my car in a parking lot I do take off my mask and bag it up. I don't like it myself. That's why I've asked Miss B if she is sure she can do this.

I'm back to my 4:45 wake up call. These poor animals think I've lost my mind LOL.

Feline - glad you had a great checkup and can work from home, while it could be difficult to split your time, it will be wonderful to see your Little Man hit major milestones.

Eva - I am amazed that people are fighting something that keeps others safe. I can understand the two sides of virtual vs. in-person classes, but what kind of example are those no-mask parents setting for their children... I hate wearing mine (which a GF graciously made for me) and take it off in the parking lots as soon as I'm by myself, so understand the discomfort issue but have to admit, I'm a little concerned those folks may not be qualified to attempt to teach their kids @ home. Oh well, it will all work for the best as it always does.

DH's APRN sent recommendations for sweating:
- wearing light, airy clothing
- taking cool or lukewarm showers
- drinking ample water
- using moisture wicking and cooling sheets, pajamas, clothing and socks. These products are made of materials that absorb more water and dry faster than standard fabrics and can be helpful for some people with excessive sweating
- avoiding sweat triggers including spicy foods, caffeine and alcohol

He wears wicking clothing, so we're going to focus on the water and I'm going to check out cooling covers for the hospital bed. We moved a fan from the living area to his bedroom and last night was much better. Keep your fingers crossed.

All is well in NE - stay safe and healthy!

Kali, I'm glad closing went well.

Are they able to do anything about DH's sweating?

Feline, Little man isn't 2 year so putting kids paste on his Brush and letting him gnaw on it when he's fussy about your brushing is fine. Or that's what our dentist said.

Glad your appointment went well! Sorry about the hair color. Can you cover it with blue and make a purple?

Our mask-wearing in the area is about a 50/50 split when I'm out. We mask up.

People here are showing their true colors. A mask mandate was issued for returning to school. They have to have a face covering. if you don't provide one they will be issued a disposable mask by the school. There's a group of parents that are going to form a protest at the district office to lift the mandate. Miss B was going to wear one anyway. At the moment she has 7 here that's she comfortable in. We have an option to do a virtual academy or return to in-person classes. If they don't want masks they can opt to stay home. This is about to get ugly...

Eva: I don't have a pillow for him but I've been eyeing a kids bean bag chair. I bet he'd love one of those. Comfy and the beans would provide a nice sensation for twiddling while he dozes off.

My appointment went well, I'm still cancer free and my blood looked good. My blood pressure was a little high but that was probably due to anxiety. My doctor didn't say anything about my weight gain - he just wanted to see pictures of Little Man!

I dyed my hair but the dye came in an unlabeled tube. The dye itself was white, so I had no idea what color it would be. It was supposed to be purple but my hair is now most definitely red. The dye was difficult to use and it does not look good. I'm very disappointed and wish I had just gone with the Garnier Nutrisse box dye I had originally planned on using.

I had to head to the office yesterday to pick up a laptop for working from home. The IT trainer who set it up with me said she's heard we'll be working from home until sometime next year. Apparently setting us up for safely working in the office would be too costly and the Firm is doing really well right now with some of the departments actually making more working remotely than they did working in-person. While heading to the office I observed all the people on the sidewalks and at the restaurants in the area. I saw only two people wearing masks.

Little Man decided to show me he has two brand new teeth! They made for great chomping on mama's finger. That's 10 teeth total now. He likes to gnaw on his toothbrush but actually brushing his teeth for him is hit or miss. Sometimes he loves it and giggles through it and sometimes he hates it and screams his way through it.

Eva - TV tray shopping! emoticon Love it. Hope you get the day to yourself as well - 3 hours is a lot.

Closing went well, but it took a day for the proceeds to clear. I should have picked up the check and deposited it mobily. Oh well - all is good.
DH is suffering from some excess sweating, so I contacted his APRN to see if there is anything we can do to make him more comfortable. PT this afternoon and then a free weekend.

Kali, I'm glad the fig tree fit! How was closing in a parking lot?

Miss B and I rearranged her playroom yesterday to create a learning space just in case she needs it for hybrid or virtual learning. I told her we hope for the best but we prepare now to have to make a quick transition. Sort of like having extra underwear on vacation. You hope you don't need it. But she was pleased when we finished with the end product. She discovered she wants us to go through the shelves and that's fine. It won't take long. She knows I happen to have storage already earmarked for things like young children's books.

Today I hope I can take it easy while she continues to work on her doll project. We worked for about 3 hours yesterday.

My mother stopped by to make copies and have me check her W4 form. I popped out a tv tray store behind my computer desk. I use it for a writing surface because the desk is crowded. She got all excited "I need one of these! Where did you get it?" I told her it's just a tv tray. I suppose I'll have to take her tv tray shopping next week LOL.

Kali, did your tree fit? How was closing?

Feline, that's progress that Little man did not cry. That means you are getting closer to his napping alone. Does he happen to have a big floor pillow? He might make his way to it to doze off.

How was the doctor's appointment?

I'm doing okay this morning. The ankle is some better, but I'll keep wearing the compression bandage for a while.

I'm sorting through my saved exercise videos on youtube to put them into playlists for cardio, abs/core, arms, legs, and yoga/stretching so they are easier to access. When this ankle heals up I'll be set with a sort of plan. I have a nice DVD collection but I admit I'm kinda bored with them if I'm honest.

We are under an excessive heat advisory today. So we will be spending the majority of the day indoors. Welcome to Tennessee summer.

Eva: Little Man woke up shortly after I posted. He got about an hour of napping done on the floor but I guess he still needs mama cuddles for his full nap. I took him to the couch with his bottle to see if he'd nap some more but nope, he was up. Moving downstairs and waiting while I prepared his bottle woke up him up too much. I probably should have just slipped into bed with him and tried to snuggle him back to sleep that way. BUT this is the first time he's fallen asleep without me that he woke up without crying. He's fallen asleep before on the floor and on the couch while playing but he woke up crying because he wasn't in my arms. This time he very groggily looked around, located me, then slowly made his way to me for cuddles.

I see my Oncologist this afternoon for a check-up that's been postponed a few times. He was one of my biggest cheerleaders during my weight loss and I'm very anxious about what he's going to say about my weight gain. He hasn't seen me since about halfway through my pregnancy. I'm also anxious about leaving the house to go to the hospital. Oncology has their own building, and I'm sure since the entire building caters to the immunocompromised that they're taking great precautions, but I am worried nonetheless. All this anxiety led to strange dreams last night and intense hunger this morning.

Feline - dinner menu sounds emoticon

Eva - sounds like you have taken super safety precautions for the family and must be a milestone to put away dolls. Glad she's having you save them. Mine went into the tag sale, but it was wonderful seeing them again.
I am so sorry to hear about your fall and glad you are healing - nothing like cracking an elbow to send a shock through the body...

Everything is out of the house, so I think the sale went well, but will learn once we get the check. It was such a relief not to have to deal with all that stuff and have the opportunity to take a few more treasures.
Closing officer messed up date, so it looks like we are signing papers this morning. I'm headed to the house first to move plants that did not sell back into the garden (sprinkler system) and bring the fig plant here. (It may be too big since we needed to move DH's star trek (recliner) chair into the living room, but I hope not.) Several tiles from the hearth were pulled off and I need to glue them back as well. Unique and fragile.

Kali, how did you fare with the tag sale? And how is clean up going at the house?

Feline, maybe the little man is growing more independent. It's a heartbreaker when that happens but it's actually a good thing.

Your menu sounds delicious.

Well following my Facebook rant a Miss B's kindergarten teacher reminded parents that distance learning just did not work because not every student has the same resources. So I'm not the only one tired of hearing "why, why, why?"

Saturday I bathed the zoo. the first 4 went fine. Vocal but Gypsy, Fluff, Esmerelda, and Pandora took their baths and went on their way. Butters apparently was a contracted assassin. He got wet just tine. I put shampoo on his back and he launched himself across the bathroom. Soaked the floor. In my attempt to dodge him I slipped and fell. I banged my left elbow on the tub, twisted the left ankle, and banged the right hip squarely on the floor. I'm on the mend but RICE is the word of the day for the ankle. The bruise is a nice shade of green. The elbow is fine today. I told him if he was trying to kill me he could have found a better way. He's been sucking up since Saturday night.

Miss B started packing up her dolls. I won't donate these. I'll store them since she's asked me too. It's happy and sad. She's growing up.

Yesterday I ordered headband style masks for Miss B for school. She likes the idea because she won't have to worry about needing to lay it down at lunch. She carries hand sanitizer all the time so she can use it before she touches her mask. I ordered Jim another neck gaiter style with a nose clip for work, and some "purse packs" of antibacterial wipes for lunchbox pockets. They thanked me for stressing out so they don't have to. It's a backhanded compliment (thanks for stressing), but I'll take it because they were really saying "Thanks for taking care of us."

Little man's early nap on Friday (11:30) turned into the weekend routine (11:00/11:30), and then today he fell asleep on the floor even earlier (10:40) while he was playing! It's 11:20 right now and he's still snoozing away among his toys and morning snack remains. He usually sleeps for 2-3 hours so if he sleeps that long without mama snuggles we could be up here for awhile.

We spent the weekend cleaning. Saturday we got the den almost completely cleaned. Just have a corner and some shelves left to sort through. And Sunday resulted in an almost fully cleaned kitchen. DH didn't feel like going shopping so I don't have anything for dinner tonight, so I'll either be making mac n cheese or ordering delivery since he'll be coming home late. We had past last night so I am considering McDonald's (chicken nuggets, yum!) or a banh mi sandwich. When he does pick up groceries this weeks dinner menu is: creamed chipped beef on toast, peanut butter chicken (with an alternative nut butter), stove top chicken, awesome pasta salad, and pumpkin red lentil chili.

Feline - sorry the chicken didn't turn out, but pizza sounds good. Sounds like you handled Little Man's meltdown with patience and grace. Hard to believe he's 14 months old.
Eva - emoticon Excellent points on a very volatile issue. I think you are correct, but I understand teachers' concerns as well. From a purely economic viewpoint, reopening schools is critical. From everything I've read, children need peer contact for brain growth. (Learned the consequences of solitary confinement during a bill hearing.) Perhaps reopening will also allow more younger teachers to gain employment. My guess is there will be an uptick in home schooling for those folks who can afford it, but that too is yet to be seen.

Last day of the tag sale. I go to the house @ 2:30 to mark those things that haven't sold that I don't want donated to charity. Monday morning, I meet a neighbor to clean out the refrigerators and hopefully Tuesday my cleaning people will be cleared of the virus so we can get the house in shape for closing Wednesday. Apparently the line stretched into the street and they handed out over 250 numbers (following CDC guidelines). No expectations, but it sounds like we are going to be blessed once again.

Stay safe and healthy!

Kali, your piece is beautiful. I'm so glad you got to buy it back early!

I have a hard time seeing you as being anything but kind. Maybe it's perspective. Maybe DH needs tough love to get him to work toward a stronger mind and body. We had to have that approach with my Granny when she didn't want physical therapy after an ankle surgery.

Feline, bless him. If he's 14 months and this is his first melt down you are golden. Maybe it's time for a baby laptop so he can work with mommy?

Well Mrs Eva was in relative radio silence, but we had some school updates and so I landed on Facebook long enough to put me on a warpath. I kept seeing the question of why school was dangerous in March but we are safe to return now. They've even directly addressed me directly in a DM about it. So I opened my virtual trap in "public":

"Because federal and in some cases state funding is being threatened for public schools if we don't return to in-person classes.

Because for some kids a possibility of catching covid-19 is the lesser evil because at school they have a few hours from abusive situations and a couple of hot meals.

Because child care is iffy at this time and parents need to return to work. Some have to make a choice of who gets to work so someone can watch the kids.

Because the mental effects of isolation for kids can be deadly as well.

There's a lot of reasons why. That's just 4.

Do I like sending my kid into the world armed with a scrap of cloth and a tiny bottle of gel? Not really. It's the best I've got. It's the best you've got. But you can believe returning to school in person, she's a part of that discussion. Her feelings are being considered. But giving the kid a choice isn't on the table for everyone."

Now maybe people will also stop asking me why I'm avoiding Facebook and not taking calls...

Eva: Little man and I usually eat at the same time. He gets a big kick out of eating like mama. He thinks it is HILARIOUS to take a bite at the same time as me. If I am feeding him it's mostly alternating. I'll give him a piece, then I'll eat for a bit. He doesn't have to eat it all but he has to stay in his highchair until I am done.

So the Deviled Chicken was a failure. I thought it was edible, though not particularly good, so I didn't order out. DH and Little Man both disagreed with me. They found it completely inedible. I made Little Man some Gerber microwave pasta and DH had ice cream. DH didn't want to run to the store for the ingredients I needed for tonight so we're having pizza. To be honest, it's a welcome relief from a week of chicken emoticon

I weighed myself and I've not really lost any weight. I'm down 6oz. So still maintaining, which is good, but not as good as losing. I've only cut the calories further and carbs for a week, though. More steady exercise would help, too.

Little Man had his first meltdown today. Not too bad, almost 14 months. He kept trapping himself in the bedroom and the nursery and having to be rescued, he managed to somehow get himself onto the window sill and needed to be rescued, then he wanted my full attention to play but I needed to work so he tried crawling and cruising around my desk to get at my keyboard and mouse but got stuck then kept hitting his head on the desk. When I was comforting him from hitting his head I wouldn't let him play with the keyboard or mouse and that was just the last straw. He melted down and just could not be consoled. I had to stop my morning work early and take him for an early nap.

Eva - glad you are tuning out the world. Too much nonsense and insecurity out there.
Hope you catch up on your emoticon and feel empowered and peaceful.

They let me buy the piece early - considering everything I've already pulled, I felt that was a fair deal and it fits perfectly in the apartment.

Everything is hung and boxes put away. We have 4 more days of quarantine and timing is perfect as I need to clean the house following the sale and we close on the house on the 15th. (Signing papers in the parking lot...)

Now the main focus is kindness - I need to learn to have more patience with DH and go with the flow. Great goal for the new adventure!

Feline, I'm glad you kept your appointment. And I love the sound of your hair color.

Little man is still exerting control. He's seeing what he can get mommy or daddy to do for him. It's okay. He'll grow tired of the game and feed himself again at dinner. This sounds mean but make sure you eat first and let him wait if he expects you to feed him. It may entice him to give up the game sooner. It's not uncommon at his age.

Kali, can you call the tag sale girls and have the piece pulled?

I overslept this morning. I think I'm just emotionally tired. I fell asleep sitting up after lunch yesterday. The south seems to be in an upheaval between southern heritage (which I have an unpopular opinion that tieing your heritage to a nation that was defeated 155 years ago is dumb. Can't we just tie it to sweet tea and fried chicken?), the unknowns about school (we should have answers soon about how we will reopen but people keep asking me like I'm on the school board...), and people playing the blame game as to why the virus is spreading so fast, I'm just drained. I think today is the day I tune the world out. Radio silence from Eva.

Eva - glad you grabbed the school supplies when you could. It's a little unnerving to see bare shelves, but I guess that's part of learning how blessed we are.
(Love your war cry!)

Feline - glad you kept your eye appointment particularly with the headaches and I love the purple/brown color. It sounds elegant.

Final artwork hung in the apartment and found out both my sis and DH wanted a piece I left for the tag sale. I may need to be the first person in line...

Eva: I discovered the problem - he's hungry and he likes the food, he just doesn't want to feed himself emoticon He wouldn't eat dinner last night so I tried feeding him myself and he at almost his whole plate happily. I guess he's just tired of feeding himself by the end of the day! I admit I sometimes get sick of feeding myself, too emoticon Tonight is Deviled Chicken, because it turns out I forgot to include the ingredients for Country Style Chicken in my grocery list. But we didn't exactly have all the ingredients for Deviled Chicken, either, so it may turn out completely awful. DH has okayed delivery if I try it and it is disgusting.

I decided to confirm my eye appointment. I really need to start wearing my glasses while I work since I am getting headaches from squinting at the computer screen. I'll wear a mask and bring some hand sanitizer with me. I'll also ask about getting my pupillary distance from them so I can order my frames online - that way I can avoid trying on the frames they have on display (and save a lot of money!).

I also decided on a hair color. I went with a brownish purple. I've wanted purple hair for four years now and even had purple highlights two years ago. I figure I'm working from home right now so why not? I'm not sure how I will look with darker hair but this is as good a time as any to experiment.

Kali, that's wonderful that your massage therapist can come in! I'm sure DH is looking forward to that!

For dentists and eye doctors, you have a temp check at the door and you wear a mask. If a child is under age 5 you can accompany the dentist for a cleaning. The eye doctor allows you to accompany any minor. You can have only one parent or guardian per child. I assume it's that way most anywhere.

Feline, Little Man is at an age where he's trying to exert control. It doesn't matter if he likes the food or not it's just because it's his choice not to eat. Unless it starts impacting his growth I wouldn't be concerned. If he wants a snack after dinner, just make sure it's fruits or veggies. That was my solution.

My friend has a 16-hour fasting window. From what she's said, just make sure your sugar doesn't drop. She's had issues with that.

We did a little shopping with mom inside the county (masks up sounds like a war cry LOL). I was lucky enough to catch the school supplies going on the shelf. That list is done and I can relax now.

Eva: I break fast at 10am and have dinner at 5pm. Nothing between 6pm and 10am. So 14 hours. I am thinking of stretching it to 16 hours and just starting my day with lunch at 12, I've gotten used to no breakfast now and could probably skip the 10am snack. I'm only really doing it now because it's a protein shake and I can use the protein boost.

Little Man has been refusing dinner. Last night was Creamy Ranch Chicken and Potatoes - it was all things he likes (chicken, potatoes, carrots, and ranch) but he ate a few pieces of carrot and then wouldn't eat. He eats breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and sometimes an afternoon snack but just doesn't want dinner. Tonight is Stovetop Chicken (chicken, stuffing, and a creamy sauce). Maybe he'll like that?

I have decided I want to dye my hair. I was a redhead for a long time and DH has a thing for redheads (he didn't even know I was a blonde until 2 years into our relationship, lol) so he's all for me getting a box dye and doing it myself. I'm not sure which color to go with, though. A bright red? Strawberry blonde? A darker auburn? They're all so pretty!

Feline - good call with the cases rising... Thanks for the reminder - we need to reschedule our appointments.

Eva - I so agree night sweats are the pits. Interesting that growth spurts also impact eyesight - never thought of it before. Our appointments have been handled with great care thus far and I assume since TN is ahead of us on the curve, the same could be said?

ARS was competed successfully. We're waiting for results, but I have to say I'm happy to be starting the 'new normal'. One more week of quarantine and then we can start to mingle (with masks and 6' distance) with other residents. Approved to have our massage therapist come here, so Thursday is DH's next appointment and PT requested a prescription for lymphedema so the plan is 2x/week treating the Parkinsons and 1x lymphedema. Looking forward to improvement!

Stay safe and healthy!

Kali, Sometimes I think I spend half my life cleaning. I'm so glad you are enjoying your 2 bedroom apartment.

How was DH's appointment?

Feline, what's your fasting time? I know it varies from person to person. My friend has a 6-hour window she eats in.

Miss B has an appointment for eyes on the 21st. I'm a bit nervous but she probably needs new glasses. I can get by for now. So can DH. But she's had a growth spurt and growth spurts often cause a small change in vision.

I'm trying to muck my way through a 40-year-old metabolism. I'm taking my iron, B-12, B-6 and calcium. All of which are on orders from the doctor. She said I need that in addition to my multi-vitamin. So we will see. These night-sweats are for the birds. I know that too.

Intermittent fasting hasn't lost me any weight yet, but it has kept my weight the same, so that's good. I probably need to cut my calories down some more to see loss. I'm also working on lowering my carbs since they have been pretty high. But that's going to be kind of hard since we're living off sandwiches and pasta right now. Hopefully my chicken dinners help.

I got a reminder about my annual eye appointment on the 25th. I have to decide if I want to go or not. I'm due for new glasses this year, so I do want them, but it's a very small office so it'd definitely be close quarters and the pandemic isn't dying down anytime soon.

Feline - I like your plan to move Little Man's things and emoticon for a growth spurt!

Eva - I love your idea of the family being you. I wonder if you could put some 'job' items into a jar and ask them to pull a few? Our home was 3 bedrooms with a den and I can so relate to your wanting nothing bigger to clean. I'm amazed @ how comfortable we are in a 2 bedroom apartment.
emoticon on getting your emoticon in and taking care of number 1.

We have a emoticon appointment in Omaha this afternoon and hopefully will get more insight into DH's condition. While we're gone, the internet and TV issues will be looked @ and who knows, we may come back to a working apartment!

Kail, I hope you got the internet sorted out! I know what it's like to use it for all of your business, so yeah, definitely something you want secure.

Maybe you'll make it to Phase 2 soon so you can have some activities. I was just curious as to what they offered. My Granny enjoyed art classes a couple of times per week.

Feline, I'm glad Little Man enjoyed his new toy box. I think using the shelf for books is an excellent idea and will give him access to his favorites.

We have a 3 bedroom house. When we bought this house I said I didn't want anything bigger than I was aimed to keep clean and I did not want stairs. I'm too lazy to move unless I have no choice, so they will probably pry me out of here with a forklift. If we really wanted to there is room to add another room or 2 to the back of the house.

Miss B and I got the house cleaned yesterday. This morning I'm cutting the grass. I promised her we'd play a game or 2 this afternoon. I'm going to fit some Yoga in there somewhere. I turn 40 on the 25th. They keep asking me what I want for my birthday. I really want them to be me for a week. They they might figure out why I'm always so tired LOL

Eva: I am so sorry for the loss of your furry family member! That is always so hard. I am glad you are finding joy with your new pup, though. A new bed is definitely in order. My cats each have a jumbo orthotic dog bed emoticon

Kali: I'm wanting to get a bigger house, lol. If we successfully have baby #2 we'll be looking at getting rid of my home office/library and turning it into another nursery so I want a house with 4 or 5 bedrooms. DH says we're here until it's paid off, so we're probably never moving LOL

The toy box is working out much better. It holds more items and with the shelf Little Man was constantly pulling off the tubs and throwing things all over the floor, with the box he enjoys pulling himself up to look into it but he's not knocking things around or pulling it over. I think I will move the shelf onto the table under our mounted television and stock it with board books and put the toy box where the shelf was on the floor so Little Man can keep looking into it and maybe grab some toys if he wants.

I think Little Man is in the middle of a growth spurt. He's taking 3-4 hours afternoon naps now! He definitely feels heavier. He's also munch, munch, munching all the time. He adores Gerber Lil' Crunchies and if I let him he would eat a whole tub of those in one sitting for a snack.

Eva - I'd say that bed is a winner! How fun to have drive-in style fireworks. We decided to forgo our neighborhood gathering as it would have added 4 days to our quarantine.

We're not able to take part in activities until the quarantine is lifted and the facility has moved into Phase 2, so some are available.
Running to Best Buy and after taking DH to PT, the house and grocery store. Staff working to get computers and TV set up and websites seem to think the internet is not secure (although it is supposed to be). I've asked for clarification in writing as we use it for everything. We shall see...

Kali, I'm so happy to hear the move has gone well. You and DH are still in my prayers.

Have you had a chance to check into activities for yourself there since you have some extra help?

We had a nice 4th. My parents and my neighbor Mr. Charlie came. Our gathering was a grand total of 6 people that I see all the time. We went to the city's drive-in style Fireworks show as opposed to buying any this year.

Yesterday we took Gypsy to Rural King. She did well on her outing. She's still skittish of sliding glass doors. But she scored big with "jumbo" bed, doggie cheese-its, and a new toy. She loved the bed enough she slept on it instead of with me last night. emoticon

Hello all.
Hope you had a happy emoticon emoticon emoticon
We're moved into our new home with the exception of hanging pictures in the bedrooms. Changing spaces from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom assisted living apartment has resulted in taking only those special possessions and locating them in 'different' places, resulting in a new, yet very familiar environment.
The transition has been smooth (blessed as usual) and having the ability to go back to the house to trade items has been great. Tag sale is next weekend and closing the 15th.
DH has a Covid-19 test this morning for a NEMed test on Tuesday. He's had good and bad days, but on the whole adjusted well to the move. I'm loving the extra help and food is so good, I need to watch what I eat. Would love DH to gain some.
Will try to check in more often and become a regular again soon.

Stay safe and healthy!

Feline: our governor has put most of the authority and responsibilities with the mayor's of the state. He's very hands off. It gets on my nerves. So you have places being very lose with restrictions and then you have other places that are where we are in phase 2 of opening and paused or are walking back opening. Its confusing.

Toy boxes were helpful here. Miss B would put things in a box or a bin but not on a shelf.

I'm masking up and going to Jackson later today. Feline you missed we lost our dog of 9 years, Ariel, and have since adopted a new puppy. Anyway Gypsy (almost 16 weeks old) needs a new bed. This is pitiful.

Eva: Nebraska's governor is denying financial aid to any areas that institute mask orders so I'm not listening to any local authorities. They just want to open businesses without regard to the health and safety of state residents.

I got a slowcooker list prepared. No soups, but I did decide on Creamy Ranch Chicken and Potatoes, Stove Top Chicken, French Onion Chicken, Country Style Chicken, and Chicken a la King. Chicken is easy to prepare, inexpensive, and I know Little Man will eat it, lol.

Today is an early release from work and we have tomorrow off. I'm looking forward to the extra day off. I got a toy box for the den so with my early release today I'll be collecting toys and putting them into the box. The little shelf we got has turned out to be pretty useless so I am hoping the box will work better. It's cute, too - it's a khaki material with kittens and puppies on the front.

Feline: My mother doesn't like mask-wearing, but she does stay home and practice social distancing. Same for my MIL. We visit very little. Jim is an essential worker, so we are trying to be careful. I don't blame you for not wanting to expose you or Little Man any further than you've already been exposed because of DH. And you certainly don't want to accidentally expose your in-laws.

You'll have to tell me how DH feels about a half birthday.

I listen to Fauci, Birx, and my local health department. I also listen to the mayor of Jackson, Tn. He's the one that my mayor follows suit with for safety guidelines. I'll give the local mayors credit, with the lack of direction from Bill Lee and the federal government the 5 counties surrounding Jackson work together on a plan so there's an extensive "net" and we are all on the same page since many workers in Jackson/Madison County come from one of the surrounding counties. It's not perfect, but it's nice to see them work together for the good of so many people. Madison County has its own health department so it advises the mayors of what's going on in our immediate area and per the governor's orders Madison county can make its own plans about shutdowns, restrictions, and mandates.

We're heading out to do the shopping in a bit. My list is half complete. I think I can do the rest just by memory. It's hot! but I have the taste for chili.

Eva: I have never seen Hamilton but I have heard nothing but rave reviews so I probably should sit down and watch it. Today I am introducing Little Man to the music of the 90s while I work. He likes some of the songs but he's mostly hanging out in his nursery while carrying around puzzle pieces in his mouth like a cat.

A half birthday is a good idea if it's safe to gather! We could get a half cake for his half birthday emoticon emoticon Most of the people we want to invite are elderly or immunocompromised so we're trying to avoid gathering until someone like Dr. Fauci says it is safe. My in-laws are getting increasingly upset we refuse to let Little Man visit them, but they don't practice any sort of safety like social distancing or wearing masks. Which is crazy since they're elderly, my FIL has heart problems, and my MIL is an active cancer patient. So why should we let him visit?

I need to make a grocery list, too. We're down to odds and ends and we're having pasta a lot because it's cheap. But I am home all day so I really should make more use of the slowcooker. I have a bunch of 4 and 5 ingredient slowcooker recipes that are also inexpensive, and soups definitely make more than one meal. I've really been wanting cheeseburger soup, corn chowder, and sausage and white bean stew.

Kali: I'm glad your tag sale girls found that box! Your move is this weekend is it not? and the sale is next week?

Feline: that's funny about Little Man!

People here are planning 1/2 birthdays. Well loosely. So it's 6 months or so out from the actual birthday, provided that we are able to gather by then. Not that I think it matters here. We can have groups of 50. Which kind of defeats the purpose of social distancing.

I slept better last night. With the thunderstorms, the pets all settled down. The sleepy heads are all still napping. Today I have to finish my grocery list. Miss B wants to have a Hamilton "viewing party" for the 3 of us. I don't know what she expects for food so I suppose we need to have a sit down and discuss.
