Pretty much yes. Mindfulness is a practice after all. You have acknowledge the place your mind dashed off to and then just reel it back in. It gets easier.

One rule of thumb for mindful eating, a meal should take at least as long to eat as to prepare. The average weekday recipe takes about 20-30 minutes from start to finish. So a meal should take at least as long to consume. I keep focused on the meal by, eating at the table, no phone, no tv in the back ground. I lay down my utensils between each bite. If it's a sandwich, I lay it on the plate between bites. It draws your attention back to the task, eating.

I'm not sure that is helpful. But it's food for thought, pardon the pun.

Hi I am coming back to spark people after a long time and I am new to this group.
I am trying to incorporate mindfulness in my daily activities.
While doing any such activity mindfully, my mind automatically runs out to some other place , I realize this after few seconds and pull my mind to present.
This happens several times.
Is this the way it works?
How do you tackle this problem?
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post my question. If not, help me with the rules of the group.
