Sounds like fun. I used to get free tickets from my work, but not since I retired.

We always attend a Cardinal/Cub game in Chicago. This year our son turns 21 - so we'll be getting a party together at a game with the all-inclusive tickets.

What is essential is invisible to the eye.

We're hoping to get tickets to see the Cards in spring training. We live in Palm Harbor, near St Pete and Tampa, so need to find the schedule. We saw the Cards playing the Yanks in Tampa a couple of years ago.

GO CARDS!!!!

Correction...how great that your mom knows so much about the team. Sorry I guess I didn't read your post correctly the first time.

How awesome that your grandma know all that about the team. Wow! Good for her and I bet you have a blast together. I didn't watch the game on t v today since it was a day game but it sounds like they had some offense today. Go Cards!

I love to take my 88-year-old mom to see the Cards play. She's like having your own radio announcer sitting by you. She knows how many HRs each player has hit this season, their batting averages, and so on. Too fun!

I loved the "Golden Rule" that was on our childhood rulers back in the 50s. It's as important today as it was back then:
Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

Box seats! That's awesome! My mom gave my boys seats behind home plate for Easter one year! The game was not that exciting, but it was really cool sitting there. We met some great season ticket holders that took care of the boys!

Oh gosh! We won 4 box seat tickets to a Cardinal home game at a trivia fundraiser event this weekend. They're not until August, but I'm enjoying the anticipation! WooHoo!

I know what you mean about the blackouts. It makes it really tough and I agree you would think that the Cardinals organization would want as many people to see games as possible. My husband does have great memories of sitting on the back porch during the summer when he was a kid, listening to the radio broadcasts with his dad. I guess we take what we can get. emoticon

Going to see a game at Wrigley stadium would be awesome. I bet you had a great time. I wish we were closer to St Louis. It is a 10 hour drive for us but we have relatives in St Louis so we can stay with them. Enjoy your games at Busch when you are able to go . Lets Go Cardinals! Good luck with your weight loss journey as well.

I hope you can get to a game this season. I haven't been to Busch Stadium since they added the new fan village (or whatever it is called). I am excited to go soon. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

That sounds like a wonderful experience. I have managed to go to almost one game a season. Only missing a few seasons. Never have gone to another teams stadium though.

I live about two hours from St. Louis-- we try to hit a couple of games a season at Busch Stadium. Last year we went to a Cards vs. Cubs game at Wrigley and considering it again this year. It really was kind of cool, plus we were able to ride the train up to Chicago which made it even more exciting!

Unfortunately I live in part of the state that does hardly get any of the Cards game on TV and can't buy MLB online because they block the Cards. So I listen to games on the radio whenever I can and follow the Cards on Twitter/Facebook. I feel like the younger people are not getting the excitement we got when we were growing up because MLB/Cards block so much of the free broadcasts. Thankful there is still broadcasts over free radiowaves, so I can still listen. emoticon

When I married my husband 33 years ago I didn't know that I would become a member of the Cardinal Nation. It is a family tradition now. Every year my husband and I attend the I 35 series games with our 2 sons who are grown and on their own. Hubby and I also travel to Denver each summer to catch the Cards play the Rockies, since my oldest son lives there. What are your plans this summer?
