Switched from metal to plastic in high school and never looked back. Bold black plastic frames all the way!

Plastic all the way. My metal frames become lopsided very easily and there's no bending them back. Also I don't like the nose pads on the metal frames. they rub.

I like both.. i have had both kinds and they do good by me. i would say I like the plastic ones better because I sleep in my glasses and it takes longer for them to bend

Plastic! The metal ones seem to get bent much easier. Plus I love the plastic styles

After wearing metal/wire frames for most of my life, a few years ago i started on the plastic (and haven't looked back!).

I have worn metal all my life and my kids said I look like a granny. I have since bought a cute pair of plastic ones. Wow! What a difference!

I have a pair of each. My plastic frames are pink/purple and embellished - super cute and fun but not really suitable for high-powered meetings. They're my daily choice, but I have brown metal frames for special occasions, important meetings, and days when pink just clashes with my clothes.

Plastic frames are my first choice, titanium are my second choice. I'm allergic to nickel, so metal frames are out.

Metal! Actually the ones I use now are half-frame, with metal on top and nothing (or actually just a thin transparent plastic wire) holding the lens at the bottom. I think these look best on my face. I used to wear plastic frames when I was younger (in school), but now mostly metal.

i'm allergic to metal, so the titanium alloy are WAY to expensive. BESIDES, i'll co-sign with plastics being more fun. i picked out a few pair after i got my eyes checked last week. i'mma check that link someone left here though to get some CHEAP frames! YAS!

I'm a fan of plastic, and I've really good luck with Revlon's line. They're cheap and pretty sturdy, too (I'm rough on glasses).

Right now I have plastic, and I'll probably stick with that because of the cost factor, but I have a friend who has the most gorgeous vinatage metal frames I have ever seen.

What about hybrids? My husband has a pair that are plastic on the top with metal rims around the bottom, and they are pretty cool.

I like plastic better. I like all the colors and styles better. My son does have a pair of metal ones right now and they are really cute on him. I also just don't really like them on me.

Plastic. Mostly because I don't have optical insurance and they're cheaper! I like the different colors too, though.
