Pretty good day yesterday. A+ on exercise; B on eating. Today we are off to Costco. Lots of stuff to get: power toothbrushes, maybe my Blaze, Whole 30 cookbook, etc. We donít really need any food items but we will be stocking up on paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, etc. So I am expecting quite the bill. emoticon emoticon

Hubby and I will be going to the gym when we get back. Mainly cardio for me today. emoticon

I was so hoping my sponsee would settle with her ex over a separation agreement, but she wants him to support her even though she committed adultery. They have a court date tomorrow and I have to testify. I am dreading it, I hate courtrooms. Some people hate hospitals, I hate courtrooms.

Just stopping by to say hi. Not much going on here just been busy with family and stuff. I been cleaning and doing laundry. Been using the spark people app to log my food. I try to post when I can as for some reason I do get on the computer much. I been giving it a rest lately. It looks like it gonna rain here again. I swear it been raining a lot these past couple of weeks. Well they said California needs water so it getting a lot of rain that should help. Hope all is well with everyone...

Made an early trip to town yesterday and picked up groceries for the week. Came home and got a good workout in. So today is all ours. Unless we hear back that the GKs are coming over. Tomorrow is a school holiday so I asked my DD yesterday if the girls wanted to come and spend tonight. She is checking on what theyíve got going on. So just waiting to hear from her if they are coming. I love my life. emoticon

Still waiting to get some decent pictures of the backyard/landscape project. It hasnít quite stopped raining. The pics I took to show my Dad arenít that good. So I havenít forgotten. Just want to get a couple good ones to share. emoticon

We ate lunch at a restaurant yesterday for Mom's birthday, and I didn't eat much, just a side salad and a couple of cubes of foccacia without dipping it in oil. And I barely ate dinner last night to compensate for any overage that may have occurred without my knowledge. And my weight stayed where I wanted it. It's so much easier to eat at home where I know everything I eat right down to the teaspoon of oil.

So much for our trip to Sacramento. We left around 8:30 yesterday morning. The storm was bad but we didnít think it would stop us dead in our tracks, but it did. We made it to Prunedale (via 101N) and the freeway was at a standstill. We were able to exit but there was no power at the shopping center. It had been off for 5 hours. Since the southbound freeway was not stopped, we headed back home, back through the storm. Got home around 1:30. Quite the day.

So reset for the weekend. We will need to go grocery shopping. Not my favorite thing to do on the weekend, but it is what it is.

No time for comments. Be back tomorrow.

I'll be leaving soon to take my sister and brother to visit a Sunrise Assisted Living, so everyone can have an idea of what to expect when we get that inevitable call from her continuing care community. Then we'll all go out to lunch, something I NEVER do. I really hate eating out, too much food, too much temptation.

Hi everyone. I got my 10,000 steps today. In addition to that I met with a coach today at planet fitness gym. We worked on legs today and when I say we worked out I mean WE WORKED OUT. I feel muscles that I did not know I had.But my reward was the hydro bed message afterwards. Monday we are going to be doing arms Ughhhh!. I did go over my calories a little tonight because I went out to dinner at golden corral. I wouldn't have went over my calories if I hadn't had 3 yeast rolls. I'm so weak lol. but they are so good. but overall I had a good day. I hope you all did too. Have a great weekend.

What a difference a day makes. So glad to be back to my old self. emoticon

This morning we are taking my car in for an oil change and will walk around town while that is being done. When we get back home, we will be off to the gym. The weather is spectacular and I am planning to enjoy it. emoticon

No backsplash yet. emoticon Not sure when it will be installed. But I did take a before picture so Iíll be ready to post the transformation when it happens. The landscaping is almost done. Hopefully with this warm weather, they can finish it.

I finally got my oldest son's taxes done. He had a lotto win last year that he didn't tell me about, and lost the W2-G, so he'll have to submit without but list the win as income. I hope they'll take it. At least it will match their records. This is the last year I'll have to wrestle with the Obamacare subsidies! What a math nightmare!

Off to Macy's shortly to buy towels. Poor hubby is on blood thinners, and he is always bleeding on his towels. After awhile they just don't get clean. Nothing like a sale and a coupon for motivation!

Weíve got a break in the rain until Thursday. Hopefully they will be able to finish our landscape project. The glass tile kitchen backsplash should be installed tomorrow. I canít hardly wait. emoticon It is going to add so much pop to that area. Today we will be wine tasting and then a dinner/dance. It will be interesting at least!

Hope to make it to the gym before we start our adventures. Also need to get our freggies into the fridge. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Weíve also decided to visit Sacramento next weekend. So this morning I booked our room for Friday/Saturday night. Not too bad a start to the day. emoticon

Hi I been down under the weather with my asthma acting up. I am starting to feel a little better. Been doing ok other wise. Hubby been mr mom for a week. Thank god he here to handle things.

The landscaping project got a big boon yesterday. Almost all the rock is down as are the stepping stones. The planters are boarded off. The bender board is down for the grass. It is actually taking shape. We had a hard rain last night and will continue with the showers through this morning. Then sun for several days. emoticon

Got a decent ST workout yesterday. Hubby went alone to town and was gone all morning so our time at the gym was a bit short. Had a great time at the potluck last night. We have a wine pick up party tomorrow afternoon and a dinner/dance tomorrow night. Seems we are getting a bit busy. emoticon

Today I will be attempting to get Keith Urban tickets. He is coming to the Mid-State Fair in July. They go on sale at 10 so hoping to get good tickets. Hubbyís idea. He is such a sweetie. emoticon Then off to the gym for some much needed cardio.

Having a great time with GD#2. Hubby stayed home while I picked her up. He didnít get a good nightís sleep so decided to take the time to nap so he could enjoy her visit. She and I went to sushi (her favorite) and then she took me to Art at the Park and showed me all the displays. After we got home, she helped me make hubbyís granola bars. We had some dinner, played Apples to Apples and then to bed. It is a real joy to be able to have the GKs over. The move was so worth it. emoticon

Today I have some soups to make and she will probably help with that too. We are going to DD for Super Bowl and dinner and will take GD#2 back home then. I may see if she wants to do yoga with me today. It will be here at home with a video so no pressure if she wants to try. emoticon

We are starting to spread our social tendrils. Last night we went to the Elks for dinner and met several new couples and many of them live right here in our new community. I now have some connections to start playing pickleball and bunco (neither of which I have ever played) as well as invites to tour the lake on their boats. I also called the Senior group and found out how to join. They also have several activities right up our alley. Hubby looked into some dancing spots. It is all falling into place very nicely. emoticon

This morning will be a gym workout and putting our weekly freggies away (making sure they are in the eating plan!). We pick up GD#2 for a stay over. She loves sushi so it is sushi for lunch then a walk around the park. She wants to show us the art exhibit that is there. Back home for some cooking. emoticon She loves to help. And a quiet night then back home for her.

Just got back from my regular Friday grocery shopping. There were huge Superbowl displays: beer, chips, guacamole, salsa, cheese, more beer. You'd think football was about junk food rather than a great game.

We got the grocery shopping done and stepping stones ordered yesterday. No workout though. Our driveway is full of the decomposed granite that will fill out the back and side yard. With the rain, it may be there a while. The plants get delievered today and the stepping stones on Monday. I am so ready for the project to be done but the rain is definitely slowing down the progress. emoticon

Today is hopefully a stay at home day except for a trip to the gym (which is a half mile away so doesnít really count as a trip). Also need to pay bills. Hubby is talking about going to the Elks for dinner. My backup plan is portabella mushroom pizzas. emoticon

So nervous as it is my second weigh-in today - I know I stuck to my points and got my FitPoints - but I am terrified the scale won't move, or that I will have put weight on. As long as hubby has a loss I can cope with whatever the scale says for me.

I have decided to go forward with my ortho work. Iíll know more when I go back at the end of the month, but it looks like I will be able to use Invisalign instead of braces. Although I am prepared for braces if after further measurements, etc., the doc wants to go that way. emoticon

Had a good ST workout yesterday. Today will be mainly cardio. Hubby has a PT appointment which gives me more emoticon to do my workout so I may add in a bit of ST. We will see.

Got great news from my insurance and it looks like the $300 I spent for the additional mammogram was fully covered by my plan. So I should be getting that back. Yeah! Iíll need it for my ortho work. emoticon

Busy days ahead. Getting trailer ready to take to Pismo for hubby's daughter and husband to use. Company coming for Saturday and Sunday night. Back to Pismo on Monday to pick up the trailer. Not sure how much sparking will happen in the next few days!

Weíve got wind and rain like crazy. We lost one pot (not the plant) that tipped over and cracked. Another pot is cracked but not split open yet. We will have some work to do once this rolls through. emoticon

Today will be some at home exercising (probably a dose of two of emoticon ) and some cooking. emoticon Hubby thinks we need to go to the store but we shall see. I prefer not being out on the roads in this weather.

Morning Boy I have been away for a while now. Sorry for being MIA, I just been so busy with stuff and family that I haven't been using the computer much. I been eating healthy and staying active. When I left I was almost up to 280 and today I am currently at 252.2. So I just restarted my goals here on spark people. Figure a fresh start you know.. I been doing 310 shakes and eating low carb and ww and it working. I also been working out 30 mins a day with Sunday off. The kids all are getting so big and hubby is doing okay.. That about it How is everyone else doing?

I am a Beautiful Woman in side and out, I don't have a weight problem "I have a problem with my weight"

Got a great workout in while hubby was at PT. Made a roasted cauliflower and Brussels sprouts soup for lunch and we went out dancing last night. All in all a spectacular day. emoticon Today I will do some more cooking (at least the snack bars for hubby) and get our freggies put away. May even get the weekly meal plan together.

Melinda ~ emoticon I donít have suggestions for your no weight loss. IA with Nell on checking in with a leader. I think you need to look at the last 2 Ė 3 weeks. I found that I couldnít use any of the extra points if I wanted to keep losing.

Melinda, do you go to meetings and can ask your leader? I still do exchanges, and with that plan we have Bonus Selections and Optional Calories, rather than Weekly Points. If we stalled, we wound those back until we were losing again. It took a little time, and I learned more about patience than I did about weight control, but it worked.

Good morning everyone. I have not posted lately because there has been so much stress and not much positive to post. My homeless daughter is living with us temporarily again. I allow this only because of the baby. She is profoundly stressful.

I do have a question. This is what my current WW page looks like:

0 daily points remaining out of 30
28 weekly points remaining
85 fit points remaining (out of 117)
44 daily used (yesterday)

I average about 118 -125 fit points a week. I just don't know how much of those I should eat. I'm not losing any weight. Yesterday was VERY unusual as far as eating 44 points! I already had 12k steps in (including a very intense workout) before 11:30 am, and I was hungry so I ate a full turkey cheese English Muffin breakfast sandwich. That racked up a lot of points.

Had a good dinner with kids last night. And the youngest GD stayed overnight. In fact she is still sleeping away. Today we are off to her sisterís emoticon tournament in Santa Maria (about 1 Ĺ hours away). Not sure if hubby is joining us yet or not. Probably only my yoga today for exercise.

I usually do our meal planning and kitchen cleaning/reorganizing on Sundays. Depends on how long I stay at the soccer tournament and what I feel like when I get home. May try to coax hubby into a walk when I get back. emoticon While it is super foggy now, when it lifts, the day will be spectacular.

Yes, it's the ides of January, the NFL season is coming to a close. Where does the time go?

Had a very productive day yesterday. Wound up going grocery shopping since hubby made a PT appointment for today after our dentist appointments so we need to get back home earlier than we originally planned. I will work out while he is at PT. It is so nice that it is at our gym. emoticon

Not a lot else planned. The floors need a good sweeping/mopping so that will probably happen this afternoon. emoticon Weíve got a small break from the rain. It will be back this afternoon and looks like all of tomorrow. Still havenít made it to the trailer. Iím sure that is on hubbyís to do list.

Off to town for our dentist appointments soon and hubby wants to incorporate a Home Depot stop for his workbench project. emoticon

Another anniversary landmark is in the past.

Hubby's blood sugar was nearly 300 again this morning (that's why we didn't go out to eat on our anniversary), so I moved up his endocrinologist appointment from March to next week. He'll need to get his labwork done tomorrow, but the cleaners will be here at 8, so he can get to the lab then go out to eat breakfast.

Errands today. Stay warm everyone!

It is one of those days where there is not a lot going on but a lot to do! I did manage to clean/reorganize the fridge/freezer yesterday. emoticon Today I need to get our weekly meal plan together and finalize the grocery shopping list. Tomorrow we will be in town for dentist appointments so we will incorporate a shopping trip while we are there.

Hubby wants to go look at furniture today. We still need a few more pieces. Also need to make a trip to the trailer (it is here in a storage lot) and see how it is surviving the rains. His daughter and son in law are coming down at the end of the month to use it at Pismo. We were supposed to bring the batteries here to the house so hubby could put them on a trickle charge (no power at the storage lot) but that was over a month ago. emoticon The rain is supposed to let up a bit for today. So a soggy trip may be in our future.

Two things that HAVE to get done: a gym workout and I need to pay the HOA quarterly dues. I wish they had a way to pay on line but they are not that advanced yet. Since it is our first time, I want to make sure Iíve filled out the form right, etc. so a stop by the HOA office is in order. emoticon

Nell ~ I canít believe weíve been married over 16 years (second marriage for both of us). The second time around for me is definitely the best. He is a keeper. emoticon

I worked out every day this past week, and tracked at least breakfast all week, yesterday started tracking all day. I can do this!

Today is our 34th wedding anniversary. I was 33 when we married, so it's over half my life. Amazing how a day I thought would never get here is now 34 years behind.

Back home safe and sound. Had a great time at the wax museum and Universal Studios. Now back to the real world. emoticon

Today will be cleaning out/reorganizing the fridge/freezer. Our freggie box came while I was gone so I had hubby leave it out in the garage. I am kind of particular how I arrange the fridge. I will get our meal plan together for the week and firm up our shopping list. emoticon

It has been raining pretty much non stop here. But it looks like we get a break this morning. Since our gym isnít open on Sundays and it has been a bit since I worked out, I am going to go for a walk during the break. Hopefully hubby will tag along. emoticon

Had a great day with the GDs yesterday. No intentional workout for me but I can tell you I was tired after we dropped them off last night. Hubby made a wonderful breakfast. The waffles were a hit. emoticon They decided they wanted to make red velvet cupcakes so hubbyís granola bars took a back seat. We found a recipe on line and visited our local store to pick up the items we needed to complete the task.

There was a mix for red velvet cake on the shelf. I pointed that out and the youngest one said ďno wayĒ and coined the phrase ďwe are bakers, not fakers.Ē emoticon And that was the saying for the day. And here they are frosting their cupcakes.



Today I have an early morning doctor appointment and a few errands to run while Iím in town. Tomorrow my DD, the DGs and I leave for DD's birthday celebration. We are going to Universal Studios on Friday and probably Madame Tussaudís Wax Museum Thursday afternoon. Then back home on Saturday.

Good morning.

my goal is to track breakfast. I ended up tracking all day. (yeah me!) I went way over my points, but I already have 34 activity points, so we are good. I ate Lefsa as my birthday treat. Yum!

I did an hour long weight lifting class. One that I really like but have not done in a long time, (due to scheduling) I went very light on the weights, even to the point of using none when it came to shoulder work, as I have a shoulder injury. It must have been enough, as I am appropriately sore today.

Long day ahead due to a staff meeting, so no skating tonight. Bummer.

Picked up the GDs yesterday after grocery shopping. Came home and hubby cooked us dinner. Then sat down to a cutthroat game of Apples to Apples. This is what makes the move worth it all. emoticon

Today hubby will make them breakfast. We saw this crazy puff pastry waffle iron youtube video that hubby is dying to try. They will probably want to go to the park if it doesnít rain. I hope to coerce them (or at least the younger one) to help me make granola bars and soup. She likes to cook. emoticon

My plan is to get a LB ST workout in at home today. And maybe a walk around the park while they are playing. emoticon

Good morning!

I got a run in yesterday and a total of over 14k steps. Not bad for also taking a long bath and taking the kids to see Sing!

I said I would get back to tracking, which I did. My baby step goal is to track breakfast. I actually tracked it all. Well I did it a few minutes ago! But I did it, including the 18 point 1/4 of a cup desert I had for my birthday at dinner last night! Holy Buckets! Why does everything that taste great have to have so many points? emoticon

Hubby hung the living room blinds yesterday. Now just the two bedrooms left. The GDs will be here for a sleepover so he will get at least the guest room done today. I was going to clean the guest bath yesterday but got busy in the other bedroom so Iíll need to do that today. emoticon

We will hit the grocery store while we are in town picking up the girls so I need to fine tune our weekly meals and get the grocery list together. That should happen when we get back from our gym visit. I did work out at home yesterday emoticon but only ST, no cardio.
