I had a pretty good weekend too. Not as good as it could have been but not totally off plan. I did get some walking in.

So glad you found us Joan! and it's good to read that you've started WW -- I love the points plus system - I had also done some of the older programs, but I find this one the best of the best! And I totally agree about the official website not having the same excitement that we find here on spark --- this is just a great place to be and the information is endless!! Looking forward to getting to know you ---

Hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful Wednesday! We celebrated our baby's 21st birthday tonight at a Mexican restaurant --- I stayed pretty much on track but had to use some weekly points -- but overall, I'm still good!

Hello,
I just started WW yesterday. I have done the old programs before but haven't been a member since 2008. I love Spark People and have been a member for several years. I find the official WW page lacking community wise and .I am excited to see this group here!
My ultimate weight loss goal is 60 pounds.

I tried SF for the month of June to see if I'd like it --- lost the first couple of weeks, but then didn't -- I found it to be too easy to eat too many carbs as the bread/Eng. muffins were allowed and not counted in the weekly pts. I also had too much popcorn and then didn't concentrate on my veggies like I do when I count points. So I'm back to counting and had a loss today -- small -- but still a loss! Everyone is different though --- there are many online and in meetings that absolutely love SF and are very successful with it --- our leader always says give it a try and then you'll know!

Happy Saturday everyone! Have a strong weekend!

So give me your honest thoughts on Simply Filling. I am starting this coming week.
I must admit I am scared to start as I really like rigid boundaries and hope I will not
regret this. So what results have you had compared to the old way.
Thanks, and please pardon me, I am new and kind of leery.

Way to go on the exercise Shirley! I've done a little better on exercise but ate way too much this week. We ate out too many times. Back at it. I see the cardiologist on the 23rd and when I was there a year and a half ago he told me to lose weight, which I haven't done. That's why I haven't been back. That's the only reason I dread going. Still too heavy and I don't need him to remind me of that.

Sounds like a great weekend coming up for you and your family --- nothing like a wedding to get everyone together and have happy times - enjoy!

Hope all you WW peeps are having a fabulous Friday --- time for the weekend --- let's stay focused and strong!!!

I did it! Thanks to this team and the POW challenge this week. My goal was to exercise at least 3 days this week and I did it! This is a big one for me. I work 10 hour days and I'm exhausted when I get home and I hate to exercise so I can think up a million excuses for not doing it but I did it this week! I'm so proud of myself! Just have to keep this up now. Hoping when I go back to normal hours in August that I will feel like doing it more days of the week.

Well my oldest ds is getting married one week from tomorrow, I still can't believe it! My mom, sister, youngest ds and his wife will all be here on Thursday and I have a lot of things to get done today so I'm off to get the chores and errands marked off my list.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Only 75 here today too although the humidity is kicking in. 92 tomorrow and high humidity with a heat index of 100.
I helped my daughter with a bunch of cleaning. We also got a lot of the baby things put away. He's due a month from today. Getting excited!

OK ladies!!!! You have now made me feel like I should be getting something done this weekend!!!!!!!!! I just read your posts about cleaning, organizing, errands, etc. and you've held me accountable! I'm home today with no one to distract me - so I have no excuses! I have a couple of little sewing/mending projects to finish, need to run the sweeper, need to do a little food prep for tomorrows activities --- for the most part, dh and I will have the weekend to ourselves --- but we still need to have some red, white, and blue foods for fun -- so I'm going to get on that. Just saw a cute pic of a plate of cupcakes that were made with egg whites, no oil, and only had a couple of points --- but they used white cake mix and colored some of the batter red and some blue so the cupcakes were red, white and blue! Really looked adorable and she said to frost them with cool whip --- I think I can handle this w/o even going to the grocery! Although I MUST have a watermelon!

Have a healthy and productive day! We are gittin' 'er done!!!! woohoo!!

Where do you live Sandy? I live in Georgia, yesterday it was around 97 or that's what my car said when I left work at 3:00. Still too hot!

63 sounds like heaven right now. Wow! I can't imagine it being that cool this time of year.

It's so wonderful that you all have all those animals. I wish we could have a little dog. We live in a little apt. and I'm deathly allergic to dogs, cats and birds. I work 10 hour days during the summer and I would hate to have to have a dog penned up for that long even if I could have one. So I guess it's for the best.

I think we are staying home this Fourth of July. We have no family around so it's just my dh and me. It's so hot that I think we are going to skip the parades and the music festivals. I don't know if we will try and go and find a spot somewhere to watch the fireworks from the top of Stone Mtn. or not. I'm fine with that. I've been in a cleaning mood lately so maybe I/we will tackle the closet. DH just rolled his eyes when I mentioned that to him but he agreed. It needs to be done but I hate to ask him to do it on his day off. He works long long hours.

Well I took the day off and so I need to get busy and tackle my list and run some errands.

Happy Fourth everyone! emoticon

Our weekend was nice and relaxing. Yesterday was bills paying day so we spent time paying boy how money goes fast you know. You have it one minute and then you don't. That is how life is you know.

I brought myself a nice summer dress and got it in a xl at walmart and it fit real nice too. Guess I am losing weight after all or maybe inches you know which ever it feels great to buy smaller sizes.

We added a new member to our family she a collie and she only 13 weeks old. We name her Lady. So now that makes 6 dogs and 5 cats and 4 birds as one died our lovebird kept laying eggs and on Sunday she died. But we had her since 2010. It was heart breaking to see her go.

We went out and brought some Fans for the house to try and save from using the AC as it just cost too much to use all the time. Walmart had some on sell so we got two nice fans. Hope it will help keep us cool this summer. Cause we been hitting the 100's here.

We been grilling out on the grill as well cause it too hot to cook in doors. We been eating fruits like crazy too. Like for breakfast this morning I ate bananas and blueberries and strawberries with cool whip. I love fruit as it so refreshing.

Well hubby wants to go get a couple items that we forgot to buy so I better get off and get ready. Hope everyone is all well and trying on track. We can do this team....

Well I'm finally back my fellow WeightWatchers madams and sirs :-) I fell off the wagon in April after my boyfriend and I celebrated his 30th birthday with food and drinks galore. I had a really hard time starting back but here I am! I had lost 15 pounds and gotten down to 175 lbs but now I'm back up to 188.2 which is my starting weight. I am determined to get this weight off for good. Standing at 5'3 I want to ultimately weigh 135 lbs and I would like to achieve this by May 2015 when I graduate from college. If you don't see me post for even a day please stop by my page to offer some encouragement. This wonderful group really helped push me through weightwatchers last time so I cannot wait to make some new friends on this phase of my weight loss journey. Sending positive thoughts to everyone!

Hi All!
made it through a retirement lunch with co-workers. Having the leftovers for dinner. Kept it simple and went with a salad. Cake at the office, yes I ate a piece, but shared a slice with a fellow co-worker whose also following WW.

Tomorrow is a movie date with DS. I LOVE movie theater popcorn. I look forward to it whenever we go. But I do plan to take some hardboiled eggs, water, fruit as part of my movie snack.

Enjoy your evening.

Today we went to hubby parents for the day and spent all day in the pool. It was real nice and everyone had fun. It was so hot out you wouldn't believe. It felt so good to just relax and enjoy family time. We had hamburgers and hot dogs and salads and watermelon. I didn't have any bread but the salads and the watermelon was a no no too that why I only had a little bit.

Jane - have a safe trip and enjoy yourself!

Sookie - If you are concerned about nutrition, could you enter the ingredients into Sparks? I know that would make it more time consuming, but you are able there to choose the nutrients that you want to track, and it will let you know at the end of each day if you have met/overdone the recommendations. You could combine that with counting points. Just a thought....

emoticon Carole! Look forward to hearing your great report next week!

Me, I am challenged in the area of knowing the points plus #s. The WW Franchises do not provide access to online or etools (unless you become lifetime). The franchises monthly pass is called a "fast pass." I shared earlier that the leader challenged me to write everything down; well that's what I've been doing minus the points (plus entering everything using my SPapp). Although I like the points, I do like being able to see the complete nutritional breakdown and if I was hit or miss in certain areas.
THe last food companion guide I have is from 2009, not sure if I should pick up the lastest or continue using this one.

Good plan. I always do better when my meals are planned and prepped ahead during the school year. Makes it much easier not to grab whatever is handy or what you're craving at the time.

Am feeling more positive today! emoticon I was chatting to a friend at WW yesterday - she has been at goal for ages and ages. She said she found the secret to getting there was to plan meticulously. She would plan all the meals/snacks etc for the whole week - make a shopping list and stick to it when she went to the supermarket. She would not buy any BOGOF offers or anything on impulse. So....I am doing just that this week! I have already worked out my meal plan and the shopping list. She reckons I will save money too....and I think she will be right! emoticon

Well...I didn't rush in here to report the result of my weigh in! I put on 0.5lb. emoticon I know I had a bad day last week, but I have been walking loads - yesterday I did 5 miles and over 14,000 steps! Never mind....here's to next week!
