I make handmade flowers. They are made of Tulle, silk flowers , crystals and sometimes pearls. I've made them for weddings and parties. Sometimes for decorations but they are very fancy,,....usually not just for the house.

How nice.... I've never done fused glass, but have drooled over it a number of times...

I started with stained glass back in the early 90's and watercolors.....
I had to let go of my studio when I moved to Australia. It's too expensive to get into it again, but I did start up watercolors again last year when I started beading....

I'd love to see your work. Please post a pic!!!

Have anyone ever done any fused glass? I was into that a few years ago, and I wrapped a few of the pieces with silver for jewelry. If I can find the one I kept for myself, I'll photograph it and post it. I didn't continue with the wrapping of all of them, so now I have a box of finished pieces just waiting for me to get back to it.

I've never heard of that product! Thanks for the tip. I started the Christi Friesen video but haven't finished watching all of it yet. Looks like I could get into a lot of trouble getting hooked on those patinas. Oh, the possibilities!

Yes, she is fabulous...... I just discovered Swellegant . . . Christi Friesen has a 45 minute video on YouTube.

I'm working on filling an order at one of the shops that carries my jewelry . . . but when that's done, I'm planning on trying some new ideas with the polymer clay.

When I took the polymer clay class it was fun to start out stamping sheets of the clay and then cutting them into small tiles. I think we painted our own colors on the clay with acrylic paints and then used those iridescent powders on them.

I made a shadowbox shrine that I was happy with, and a photo of it is in my SparkPage photo gallery. The class was taught by Laurie Mika. If you're not familiar with her work, her art gallery on her web page is quite inspiring.

What do you do with the copper, Cat? Jewelry?

I love playing with paper clay, and one of these days I want to work more with polymer clay. I took a mosaic tile class using polymer clay several years ago and haven't worked with it since.

I am making decorated towels. I get a bath towel and cut it into 4 hand towels. After finishing all edges I decorate them different ways. Some with a fabric border, some multiple rows decorative stitching and some with lace etc. There are other sewing type things I do.

What kind of crafting do you do? I mostly crochet but I also do beading even though it's not jewelry. I make beaded Christmas trees and ornaments. Plus other stuff. How about you?
