For 2015 I have two main projects that I've undertaken for this entire year. I received a beautiful Art Lover's Day Book for Christmas, and instead of entering appointments, birthdays, etc. in that, I've been drawing one small picture each day. I've also started practicing calligraphy and different lettering fonts daily in a composition book. This notebook doubles as my "Learn-a-New-Italian-Word-Each-Day" book because I'm writing that word or phrase over and over using different styles.

I was looking over these posts from 2014, and although I have viewed several of the videos from my LifeBook 2014 class, I never did any of the lessons. I have downloaded all of the videos, supply lists, and instructions, and maybe I'll do a few of them this year. (That's still a maybe.) Not going to beat myself up over not completing the class, though.

What are your plans for 2015?

Today it is all about perfect corners on the binding. I'll have bunches of potholders before I am "perfect"

That sounds like a good project, and one that produces something useful for yourself or for someone else.

When I go to bookbinding classes to learn a new method of binding, what I need to do is come home right away and make several others. That way I could get it in my head how to do it right. So I think it's great that you're going to make 8 other potholders -- the right way!

I've been saving patterns for a year and started one last night. It is a pair of potholders made with scraps. I'm doing everything by the book so I can learn the right way to do things. I bought enough material for the hot pad part to do about 8 of them using different patterns.

Before the end of the year (2013), I also signed up for a weekly, year-long, online art journaling course called "Life Book 2014."
I haven't set pen or brush to paper yet, but I've watched almost all the videos for this week.
If anyone is interested, just google to title. The sign-up is open until later in the year.

I am going to learn more about Photoshop and Lightroom. I also have a bunch of patterns for quilts and projects to sew. Who knows I may stay really busy. emoticon

I signed up today for a 12-month online altered book course. That should keep me busy!

Does anyone have any new crafting plans for the new year? I'm going to teach my boyfriend how to bead and crochet. I'm also going to try out some new patterns. How about you? Share if you wish. Spark on, everyone!
